Kingzilla
IMO, the song has the best lyrics Coldplay has written. Personally, it's like Fix You, but without the simple lyrics (not the fix you is bad, it's amazing).
Revolverwin
Come here, oh, my star is fading I swerved out of control And if I, if I'd only waited I'd not be stuck here in this hole Come here, oh, my star is fading And I swerve out of control And I know if I only waited When will I get out of this hole And time is on your side, it's on your side now I'm pushing you down and all around Oh, it's no cause for concern So come here, oh, my star is fading I swerved just out of reach And I know I'm dead on the surface But I'm screaming underneath And time is on your side, it's on your side now I'm pushing you down and all around Oh, it's no cause for concern Stuck on the end of this ball and chain I'm on my way back down again Stood on the edge, tied to the noose Sick to the stomach Say what you mean But it won't change a thing I'm sick of our secrets Stood on the edge, tied to the noose Oh, you came along and you cut me loose Oh, you came along and you cut me loose Oh, you came along and you cut me loose Really amazing isn't it??? aschall
imo I think violet hill has the best lyrics. Priests clutched on to bibles Hollowed out to fit their rifles And a fox became God... *DERH NERH DUH NERRR*
wcd199317
I discover this gem after i listen the album in youtube in the last three weeks. Love totally this song after the first listen. In my top 5 favorites songs of this group. Clocks and Amsterdam was my two favorites songs of the album. This last remains so much similitude with The Scientist (consider theses two songs was the only ballads of the album), not just the way the song was composed, but also, the sadness, the moody, the pain in Chris voice and also how theses two songs was so sad and emotional. Also, vocally, he sound beautiful to debut of end and the harmony was fire. Not that i not like The Scientist (it's was in fact a song then i like very well), but Amsterdam was special and strong for me. I think Fix you (depist i wasn't a huge fan of this last) was the cousin of this song.
