March 12, 200818 yr true. some shops got a weird policy. you gotta show your idea if you dont look 21. its so annoying. i still gotta show my ID pretty often. i hate looking younger than i am. I think that's kinda normal..I work in a supermarket and when people want to buy cigarettes and they look younger then 16 i ask them their ID. Theyre mostly annoyed when im asking, but i have to :P And when i cant give it they ask someone else to get it, so there's actually no point.

My boyfriend turns 19 in a few months, he's got his licence for a year and he drives really carefully, and when there's someone dangerous, he always swears... ;)

March 15, 200818 yr Here, you can actually get a permit to drive at 15, but you have to be in the car with a licensed, sober adult.

My distant relative's boyfriend almost had his leg amputated because he was driving too fast on his motorcycle and had an accident with it in hills. and now, when he can drive (he probably shouldn't), he still drives his car as a madman. We never learn, do we?
March 15, 200818 yr Some MPs are trying to force though changes to the way the driving test is done, from what it is currently a theory part (including that pointless 'hazard' awareness test) and the practical part, which can be done within a week of turning 17 if you wish, to making the practical part focus more on 'everyday' driving with modules which will need to be signed off by your instructor with the majority of the procedures (turn-in-the-road, parallel parking, parking in a parking bay), in the attempt to slow down the number of under 25's killing themselves. It might reduce it, but frankly, the main cause of the under 25's crashing is lack of real-life experience.
