Well, the Coldplay website does have a new post today, but not the one we are all looking for............ sigh.

If I go to the website and see one of those media player thingies as a new star in 2008, I would probably spontaneously combust.

ahh! i dont even want to think about what would happen to me! i'd probably scream bloody murder and make the whole floor rush into my room because they think i'm being attacked.

 

but when i saw the release date etc last week, i just kind of froze for a second. i didn't know what to do!

^Yeah, it wasn't the release date that made me freeze, it was the album title. When I saw the words "The new album 'Viva La Vida' will be released..." I was like WTF? Wen I saw the release date I sort of thought "well its a month later than I was hoping for, but I can definitely wait till then" And then of course the whole excitement episode started. For some reason that thread title convinced me that it would just be a prank or something, because I was expecting something like "OMFG!! NEW ALBUM IS CALLED 'VIVA LA VIDA' OUT ON JUNE 16TH!!!" so yeah it took about 10 minutes for it to sink in properly.
