Backstage Passes?

Featured Replies

I was wondering. Once Coldplay starts touring for their new album, are there going to be any backstage passes that you could, I don't know, win or buy and what not?

Never happened before...but i hope yes!

I hope so too!

All you have to do is contract a life threatening disease and go to Make-A-Wish and hope they'll be sweet.

thats kinda depressing

When they came to Brazil there were some contests that gave backstage passes as prizes. People had a very short time with them (got signed material and took an official group photo - not allowed to take their own cameras). Of course people liked it, but it wasn't a very warm moment. People who could talk to them in the hotel, for example, had much greater memories.

they have families now, I"m pretty sure they aren't going to be doing a whole let the fans come backstage sort of thing much more if the family is on tour.

Sound check passes might still be do-able. But just be happy with the fact that they are going to tour.

Oh I'm ecstatic about it! I CAN'T WAIT until they tour but... darn, it would've been the icing on the cake if I could actually have a backstage pass. But, you're right, they do have families, I didn't really think about that part. *sigh* :sad2:

Itd be great to get those tickets, you can see how they act before the concert and see how they prepare and stuff. Thatd be AWESOME!!

Oh my gosh, that would be.... WONDERFUL. I could SEE them and TALK to them and... I'd probably pass out as a matter of fact.

all i want is just see them at the concert that's all at whatever place it is balcony or front or back i don't mind.

seeing them itself makes me very very happy and i can remember it for ever

because i've a skill to take damn good photos at whatever place with my canon camera even long shots too and also videos too.

so i am satisfied with that.

i don't want any backstage passes or whatever.

but if i meet Chris in any chance by luck like some coincidence or something it's ok for me.

Don't worry about it too much. It's a bit overrated, as poster, Cris implied. When I went backstage, there was one real opportunity to talk to a band member Jonny in a short interview, and that was for about 8 minutes, give or take.

But, if all you want is to at least go backstage, which is still a thrill (but overrated in this case), then I would think you might still have the opportunity, as not that much time is spent backstage, but who knows. Heck, if you really want to know, call up the record label. You might get an honest answer.

when they came to chile there was a contest to get backstage passes... (which I lost :laugh3:)

anyway.. I hope there will be backstage passes in a tour again

Seriously, I can do that? Call the record label?

You could always just try to get a temp job at the venue as security or something (going into this knowing your going to get your ass fired hahah)

Thats got to be one of my favorite parts on the Live 03 DVD when Chris or Guy or whoever it was tells the security guy there's free beer and food in the dressing room. The dude is like "WOOO YOU DA MAN"

haha makes me laugh every time.
