very true. i'm going to have to wake up at 2 or 1:30 to catch a 3AM train to get to the city by 4, perhaps even a little earlier. still. it's coldplay, and i'm most likely not going to get another chance to see them this summer, so i might as well make up for that with a kick-ass seat at a mini-concert!

frankly, i was originally planning to just watch it on TV because it was too much of a hassle to go and i have another concert to go to that night, but my mom was like "WHY WOULD YOU EVER MISS THIS? we're GOING." and my summer plans have drastically changed and placed me out of the country when coldplay's probably going to be playing my area, so this makes up for it! :dance:

why don't you stay at a hotel in the city thursday night?

expennnnnnnsive as hell to stay in manhattan. and i live so close to the city that it's not worth it. really, i don't have a problem with any of this! as long as it's just one day, i'm more than willing to go, especially now that my mom's coming with me! going alone would be a bit iffy.

as for the Today Show gig... its going to be at Rockefeller Center I believe.. (which is across the street from the studios...) I guess they are expecting a larger than life crowd.... I just might make it too... :) its a 7am!!! :)

I'll try to be there. That means taking a train ride in the very wee hours of the morning but it will be worth it!

 

Usually, Today Show concerts start around 9 AM, not at 7. At least, it's aired at 9, not sure if they broadcast it live. So really, I'm not sure what time to get there, but I'll get there.

^i'm not exactly sure what time it starts, either, but if you want to be able to see anything, i recommend getting there WAY before 7AM, even if it starts at 9. i'm hoping to get there by 4, because i WILL have a good viewing spot! :D

 

shockingly enough, my brother expressed extreme interest in coming with my mom and me. so it's a family affair now :P. guess they're going to have to deal with me freaking the eff out.

i'm kind of already freaking the eff out :laugh1:. if i get a front-row (or close to front-row) spot, i think that'll make up for me not winning MSG tickets.

 

aaaaand i'm buying a 10.1 megapixel camera with HD video capability, so expect great photos and videos (assuming i get the good spot, that is).

(and don't worry, i'm not blowing $300 JUST for the today show...i need the camera for europe this summer too :P)

My friends and I are planning on getting there at 11...on Wednesday morning. True dedication, I suppose. Hahaha, hopefully I'll see some other Coldplaying-ers there!

the more i hear about people camping out overnight etc, the more worried i become that 4AM won't be early enough to get a good viewing spot...
