Its true, i have already asked that guy when they will be playing the song, he answered me they will be playing it several times all day long.

i was listening to XFM today just to check it out, and one of the first things i heard was some lady going over the music news. she said something like "very exciting, we're going to play the new coldplay single "violet hill" right here on XFM this tuesday after midday, which is off coldplay's upcoming album, viva la vida or death and all his friends". it's sort of crazy, but at that moment the whole thing became more real to me, because someone out there actually SAID it in a voice that i can hear. i've only been talking about it with people on here and with one or two of my friends on the internet, i've never referred to it by name in real life or heard anyone else say either of those titles; i've only read them. i kind of gasped when i heard whoever that was say the titles out loud, because it was like a 100% confirmation that they actually exist and that everything is actually coming. my brain exploded a little :D

THat's how I felt when my local station announced the album on their rock news a few days ago. It made it REAL for me. Hopefully they'll get a sneak preview of the single too since it seems to be everywhere.

Haha, thats was crazy wasn't it? In the 20 minutes of listening to it, they mentioned Coldplay. But for me, I had already heard someone from the radio a few weeks back announcing the title (Jo Whiley, I think) so this is I think the second time I've heard them mention it. But the fact that they mentioned actually playing Violet Hill next week was definitely a spine tingling moment!

Maybe that Monday Premiere in Mexico is because all that “Viva la Vida” thing, as they used something Mexican for the album title, they want the world premiere to be here. :cool:

 

Seriously, although I’m a regular reader of Sopitas blog and I know it’s a reliable source, I think he may be wrong this time, probably just a finger mistake or anything, and we are gonna get the song on Tuesday like the rest of the world. Anyway it’s just a day and I think that after a couple of years of not hearing anything new from Coldplay I can survive one more day.

 

In any case I will check Reactor on Monday to see if there is a nice surprise.

Monday? I honestly don't think we're gonna have it by Monday. The stations that are playing it are saying it's a world exclusive.

Yeah, I haven't had access to radio lately, but it's good to hear that they made announcements of that sort on your stations. To borrow the phrase, we're often in our own little bubble here and sometimes it seems as if this reality doesn't exist outside of coldplaying.com.
