dundermifflin03
((forgive my ignorance here, but) EMI is releasing a vynil record of 2 Coldplay songs. So is it in actual record? What if I dont have a record player how do I listen to it? Also, I live in U.S.A., am I eligible(sp?) to recieve a copy?
TraceOddity
It's a 2 song vinyl single comprised of Violet Hill and an unreleased track called A Spell A Rebel Yell. It's being given away with the May 7 edition of NME in the UK. Some bookstores in the US do carry it, so you'll have to check locally. If you don't have a turntable, I'm sure some kind Coldplayer will upload the b-side. Hope that helps.:)
Hotplay007
I'm pretty sure it's a copy. You obviously can't play it if you don't have a record player, lol, neither do I. And I asked that question, and you will, it will just take longer to get to the US.

Saffire
I want a copy for the collector's value. If the song turns out to be really killer then I'd probably keep it forever as sentimental though.
Cobalt
NME knows an opportunity when they see one. This will probably generate lotsa revenue for them. Also, vinyls sound pretty ^-^ and are classy :toff:
ftouchpress
is the release date for the Viva la Vida LP vinyl the same as it is for the CD? i don't see details about formats in the official news
Cobalt
This is about the Violet Hill/Spell a Rebel Yell promotional vinyl coming out with NME in May 7th, not Viva La Vida  There probably will be a vinyl release SOMEWHERE. I do not know IF they released a vinyl for X&Y (I THINK they did) but it was fairly hard to find me thinks. Someone educate us on the matter?
Famous Old Painter
But since we know about the NME 7" already, can we discuss the VLV LP? I've seen pre-order links for Gatefold CD and Standard CD but no LP as of yet.
