The UK contest doesn't say anything about a grand prize, only the MSG show has that info. So I'm guessing the UK show is only for the UK and the MSG show is for everyone? :confused:

3500 winners for the Madison Square Garden show? That's 7000 tix. MSG holds way more than that (somewhere close to 20,000).

 

So this particular contest accounts for less than half of the tickets available for that venue... That's starting to sound lame.

You may apply only once. Multiple applications will be disqualified.

 

Each successful applicant will received 2 tickets to see Coldplay @ Carling Academy Brixton on Monday 16 June 2008.

 

Each successful applicant must when entering the venue on the night have a valid form of ID which correlates to the name on the ticket. Failure to provide relevant ID (UK driving license, UK passport, Coldplay Fan Club card) will invalidate both tickets and the person will be refused entry.

 

Each successful applicant must enter the venue with the person holding the second ticket. If the person with the second ticket is not with the successful applicant ( with relevant ID) then that ticket will be invalidated and that person refused entry.

 

The reselling of these tickets is strictly prohibited and tickets will be invalidated.

 

All applicants must be over 14 and with valid ID.

 

Under 21's must provide valid ID to purchase alcohol.

 

Normal venue ticket conditions apply.

I hope they don't count all this on signing up, because I clicked the submit button twice (just because I didn't get the email after 10 minutes, only to find out that is the case for quite a lot of people) without changing any of the details, mind you. This better not get me "disqualified" because of they're lack of competence with emails.

Uh oh, those UK rules make me think you can't give your tickets to someone else cause they got your name on the actual ticket and you have to go with that person? Not that I would give my tix away, but hypothetically speaking, if you were to e-mail every person you know and ask them to sign up for you and give you one ticket, if they win you gotta make them go with you to the show?!?! So like if my Aunt wins, she has to go with me because HER name is on the ticket? I wonder if that applies to the MSG show too?

The UK show, to prevent scalping, you win a set of tickets, but you and your guest both have to enter the venue together because the tickets will be in your name and you will have to show an ID. something to that effect.
