Coldplay Tickets.

So is there any chance for us regular people to get close, without paying $500 a ticket? I searched tickets for OK City just to see what I could get and closest they gave me were section 5 in the middle on the floor - not great, or as great as I would have wanted. So, in regular venues who is getting the front section tickets??:\

In the regular venues then the best tickets invariably go to venue sponsors and tour promoters/band. That does not mean it is impossible to get the best seats on general sale, but you can imagine the chances are very slim!

I have mentioned this before but sponsors/promoters often return tickets. I find the few weeks before the show, these tickets get returned to ticketmaster.

It just sucks that all this seems to be a crapshoot. I want to be able to throw money at this situation and get the seats I want, damn it!:dozey:

Thanks for all the good info, tigermilk!:)

Got my tickets to OK CITY , via phone, 30 minutes after they went on sale.( internet problems forced me to abandon my online purchase, JUST as the seating was being released to me!!!)

So, I got section 106, row T.:cry::cry::cry:

seriously considering STUBHUB for tickets at the $300.oo price.

waiting, waiting, for tickets to be sold to SEATTLE, or Portland, oregon.

Thanks so much for the info! It is very frustrating. Angie saw them front row 7 times because there was general admission. I don't know what to do. I think i will just buy 1 ticket to increase my chances of front row. :\

im in the same boat... I don't want to disappoint my two friends who want to go but I really want to see them front row. GA at United Center seems unlikely also

at 10 am on 5-16, i bought just 1 ticket for their philly show and got floor section 1 row 13 for $120 . . . problem is i'm realizing now i may not be able to go :(

I got a link from a thread I saw posted here earlier today... it is for a website called fanprice.com... I was able to pick where I wanted to sit and name my price for the tickets, kinda like priceline.

I got tickets to the show at the Palace on July 5th... they were 21st row on the floor and I didn't pay much more than face value. I paid $115 per ticket, plus 2.50 for e-tickets. I did a little research on the company and they seem to be reliable... I used my credit card and they are verisign safe and all that stuff... there were a couple of yahoo questions about them and all the answers were positive. Hope it is all good, but I guess I can charge em back if I got screwed, so there isn't much in it for them... sorry, just thinking out loud.

Anyways, I am really glad I found this forum... I live in Los Angeles and the tickets went on sale at 7AM my time, but I am going to visit my fam for the 4th and I saw this date on the schedule and thought it would be perfect, but I slept right through 7, 8 and 9 (guess I shouldn't have gone out last night).

So, if you oversleep check out that site.. fanprice.com it was pretty cool for me.

And again I`ll say, WORKED FOR ME!:D (fanprice.com)

<<<she says , clutching her floor seats!:smug:

HEY DANTE, fanprice should be paying us for all the free PR we are givin `em, eh!:wink3:

first five rows

So I was fortunate enough to get main floor seats for the detroit show, but they are so far back. I can't find the first 5 rows on sale on any ticket site. I called ticketmaster and the guy wouldn't tell me if they plan to sell them or not.

Any thoughts my friends?

My #1 goal this year is to sit front row!

Haha! Nice goal! I have the same goal this year too! I want a new job, and I can probably get a house this year, but seeing Coldplay front row is my top priority over all else this year! Weeeeeeeeeeeee!

if you're looking for ticket strategy help, eBay is the way to go. you're guaranteed the best prices by bidding on them and its easy to get access to soldout concert and that whole deal. im a huge coldplay fan and its the only way i go. checkout http://buygametickets.com/Event-Tickets/coldplay dunno about you guys, but i can't wait.

its definitely is more appealing to me than he ticket master auctions

i know this is a super late response but i feel as though i can shed some light on the missing first 5 rows issue. Coldplay apparently does not sell the first five rows (at least for this tour), They give the roadies the tickets and have them go up to the balconies or super high nosebleed sections and give them out to fans...the only reason i know this was b/c i got upgraded to the third row last night. So if your already in the floor, its probably unlikely that you will be able to get into the first five rows, b/c they aren't upgrading those seats.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Not that I would purposefully buy nosebleed tickets in hopes of that.
