It was easily the best album of the year IMO.

December 16, 201015 yr Bryce have MGMT announced any Aussie shows? weird that they're playing 2 shows in NZ but no australian dates. And yeah, Congratulations was pretty terrible. It was like they were trying to be clever/experimental/whatever but it just sounded like a mess :blank:

December 16, 201015 yr Maybe I'm blind in vice versa, but I like OS much more the Congratulations, since I probably only listen to 4 songs from that album.. It's usually Flash Delirium, I like what they tried to do but they .. failed :uhoh: They should just stick to whatever they did in OS.

At first I wasn't sure if I would like it as much as Oracular, but really..when you've listened it a few times it just keeps growing and growing and gets better every time you hear it. I Found A Whistle and Siberian Breaks (L) Although the album actually is a concept album..when you listen no.1, you want to listen the whole album. And when it's finished, start again :)

They're better at making pop hits than making alternative albums Agreed. December 16, 201015 yr Me too, Ari. Maybe some people or even the band itself regard Congratulations as the true color of them, but as a personal preference, I think Oracular Spectacular is way better.
