knectthedots
I wasn't all too happy with this presale. I'm in Phoenix and the seats I got are on the floor, but about halfway back (row 35). Anybody else score any better seats from this presale? I'm still hoping to find tickets near the front row and then sell these ones I just bought. Just curious to see if anyone got anything better? tigermilk
I got presale tickets for Las Vegas, they were $100 and they aren't great! I am disappointed really, they are off to the side but near the front of the stage.
knectthedots
Yeah, after fees and everything, my total was $222 for two tickets! That's so horrible. Scalper sites already have better floor seats on sale for over $500 pre ticket. SO much for getting any closer... :(
clockpolitiks
did you guys buy them right at 10am when the presale started?
tigermilk
Yes, I did several searches, like six times..they were all similar areas. Stubhub is asking $400 for the seats I got. I think I will try general sale but I am not expecting any better. MGM Las Vegas gives around 3,000 tickets in comps at the casino. I may try and scalp better tickets on the day of the show, when scalpers online really cut deals to avoid taking a huge loss.
clockpolitiks
yea I'm going to try to get presale tix too. If they are the middle of the floor I think I'll just hold out for the general sale. This seriously sucks that coldplay's website didn't handle the presale.
knectthedots
yeah i was in right at 10 am. my first seats were middle floor row 35. i refreshed a few times and then got scared when only upper lvl started showing up so I took the next pair of floor that it gave me. I just hope I'll be able to get closer to the front...I've always wanted to be right up at the stage!!! I wish they were doing general admission tix b/c I'd wait all day to get in the front. clockpolitiks
Yea I did that in 2006. Waited a good 6 hours to get right up on the barricade. It was amazing. I got chris' guitar pick. Well, hopefully I'll have better luck with the presale. If not, I'll just get them when they go on sale to the public.

Hey jonny! You might wanna take 1st level....i live in vegas and have a lot of knowledge about ticketing here. the mgm takes 25% of tickets for its comps, execs etc. So it is very hard to get those floor level seats. I got them last time by waiting till it sold out, I waited till a week or two before the gig till the comps came back and went on general sale. This is risky, because you have to be lucky to get them-i have some inside knowledge on when they do this but theres no set date-it happens constantly! and it is a trickle of tickets-not a flood! jonnyaggs
yeah the seats i keep getting offered are lower U12 and U15 seats, are they any good though, will it be a good view?
TinaU2
I didn't realize there was a pre-sale until just now! I bought for Hartford and got Section 4 Row K. That's a floor section. I hope they are OK? I was in such a rush that I didn't bother to check to see if there was anthing availabe on the side close to the stage. oh well.

Those were the same kinda seats i got offered. I took U13! The view at the sides is pretty good. The MGM feels pretty small inside! From those seats you have a decent chance of catching a camera. I just prefer to be looking straight on at the stage. But its a good view and chances are you will be stood up anyway.

tigermilk
I've been reading your posts and I plan on going to the Vegas show for a little vacation. Every time I go to Vegas I always stay at the MGM....How do you get comped for tickets? Who do they give the tickets to? Hi Melissa! Getting comp for shows is a matter of asking. I would recommend you calling the MGM hotel for reservations and saying you are interested in staying and gambling there and would it be possible to get comp tickets for coldplay. They will obviously want you to spend a lot of money-just booking a $200 room won't be enough. If you are taking a suite or prepared to put up some serious gambling money or book spa services etc then no problems. When I gamble here I will ask a dealer about the chance of getting comp-but you need to play at a table a while. I play roulette or blackjack for about an hour and will ask the dealer about getting comps-usually i get a free meal, but I have got tickets for some shows. It is not a freebie option! If you play the tables for that amount of time you can lose a lot. I have never tried to get comp tickets for a gig I wanted to go to-because it is not always easy to do and can cost you a small fortune, but I have seen a few bands at the Hard Rock thru getting comp tickets that night. But it is easier to get comped for a show that isn't sold out....for instance you have to spend over $10,000 to get comped to see Rolling Stones. But just be brazen, polite and phone up and ask! It is their job to get you stay there and spend money, so they will try and sweeten you. If you need any other questions answering i'll try help! Kacey
I don't get it, if these are presale tickets, aren't some of you guys bound to get decent floor seats? Or is it that on the presale, they only give out certain seats?

Last tour.. they also had presale tickets but most of the people got crappy seats.. and I think it was like maybe 5 people that were the one that got floor tickets.. tigermilk
these presale tix are probably the best remaining after promoters, sponsors, label et al have taken their cuts...there is hope that some of the very best tix may be returned
tjames921
I got presale tickets for the Cleveland show. Seems like they are only giving away certain tickets. I did manage to get floor seats, but it's Section 4, Row J. A little further back than I thought I'd get through the Presale.
jrheinz86
Middle of row AA in section 5 (looks like the first row in the rear center section) for the Cleveland show. Shouldn't be too bad... Just hope my gf is able to see everything well for her first coldplay show.
Hyphin
I'm shocked that Coldplay didn't help out their fans for this tour, so far. I actually think it's unbelievable able that there was no Coldplay Fan Club presale.
ccsg
Where are you getting presale tix from????? I wondered why I'd not heard anything about them. I just got tix for philadelphia show but did general sale. Seats are decent. Seriously though, where do I find info about presale? I will also be purchasing for the Meadowlands show. Thanks!
