Briggins, my parents have a SIX year age difference, and they're fine. I think you're starting to approach an age when a difference of a couple years is no big deal at all. She sounds like a really cool person who would be perfect for you...I say ask her out!

(PS.. what happened to your other crush though?)

She's been traveling around Europe for the past little while and I haven't seen her for a long long time.

But yeah, I'll keep you guys posted.

Theres this girl.....

...and it happens to be my sisters friend. She's 17, while I'm almost 20. So a 2.5 years difference.

And I guess she has a crush on me. And I'm not sure what to think. Is it to big of an age difference? Is she too young?

I guess the way we really hit it off is because she likes all the same music as me (Radiohead, Broken Social Scene, Interpol, etc.) and also she's a hockey fan as well. And a solid Christian too, which is something I personally find important.

So basically we get along great, but the age difference thing is really holding me back from pursuing a relationship.

i've been in the same situation as you before man, I'm 20 and I've been with girls who were like 17, and it's not REALLY a big deal, the only problem I ever had was, they weren't old enough to be after a long term relationship, if that's what you want with her, and you want it to be something really big, then You might not find it in a girl of her age, she might just want to be young and have fun without being in a serious relationship. but if you both want the same thing then don't let the age difference get in the way, it's not that big of a deal :)

2 years??.....give me a break! That's not an age difference....20 years is an age difference!

Guys guys guys I'm having to sort you all out!

We are human beings too!!!!!!!!!

Haha sorry! I've just been watching too much tv!

I guess it's all down to the people themselves. Nothing can stop them if they're ready for some weewoo action

Go for it

Exactly:laugh3:

Well. I don't think age should be a problem. My boyfriend's two years younger than me and now no one seems to mind it. 2.5 years means nothing - generally speaking, both of you are of the same age. The problem would be if you were a lot older or she a lot younger. But anyway, if you two get along together really well (you know, sharing not also music and hockey), then go for it! You won't lose anything (except the 'being single' part. ;))

David, you were too funny! :laugh4:

I'm with Mimi and Lore on this one!

if she's in high school still it would matter to me i guess, but after that go for it

Yeah, see thats the thing. I'm going to be going into 3rd year university and she'll still be in high school.

I'm going away for the summer in a month anyways so I would probably wait until after then to start a relationship anyways.

but if you really like her i say go for it

NO! Don't wait! I mean ... don't wait till you come back! Seriously! I did something similar a while back and later I realised I could have a relationship with someone if there wasn't this other guy that came along.

So no, don't wait!
