October 15, 200421 yr John Lennon killer 'wanted fame' http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/3745492.stm :stunned:
October 15, 200421 yr His third parole application was turned down earlier this month. -- Good, he should rote in jail.
October 15, 200421 yr I hate him a little less now that I've heard his side for some reason. Of course, I wouuldn't grant him parole either. But at least he knows that what he did was terrible. *shrug*
October 15, 200421 yr I hate him a little less now that I've heard his side for some reason. Of course' date=' I wouuldn't grant him parole either. But at least he knows that what he did was terrible. *shrug*[/quote'] of course he's going to say that.... he wants to be out on parole!! I dont think he regrets it... :sneaky:
October 15, 200421 yr I don't think somebody who's trying to be paroled would say "I deserve exactly what I've gotten right now." :P Like I said, I certainly wouldn't let him out if it were my call.
October 16, 200421 yr Bloody let him rot there he deserves it, even if he says what hes done was wrong...still doesn`t make up for the fact that he killed John
October 16, 200421 yr John Lennon's killer Mark Chapman shot the former Beatle because he wanted to "steal" his fame, he told a recent parole board hearing. He wanted to steal his fame, doesn`t that tell you that hes still sick in the head?
October 16, 200421 yr Bloody let him rot there he deserves it, even if he says what hes done was wrong...still doesn`t make up for the fact that he killed John hahah, it's funny to see what you just said and then look over at your peace & joy avatar  ;)
October 18, 200421 yr John Lennon's killer Mark Chapman shot the former Beatle because he wanted to "steal" his fame' date=' he told a recent parole board hearing.[/b'] He wanted to steal his fame, doesn`t that tell you that hes still sick in the head? having read this, it made me think of something.... do you think Mr Chapman succeeded??? Who is more famous... John Lennon.... or the man who killed John Lennon?? I seriously can't answer though.... :embarrased: I dont know!! ( and when I say 'you' I dont mean BlissfullyMuse, I mean 'you' in general... discuss.. :)
October 18, 200421 yr Author the former... still :sneaky: musicians become more famous following their death, examples kurt cobain jeff buckley jimi hendrix elvis bob marley to name but a few
October 18, 200421 yr the former... still :sneaky: musicians become more famous following their death, examples kurt cobain jeff buckley jimi hendrix elvis bob marley to name but a few but can't it also be argued that Lennon became even more famous because he was murdered?? Ergo, the murderer becoming 'famous' for committing the act???? (I tend to agree with your examples though... dont forget Selena, Aaliyah, 2Pac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.. :wink3: )
October 18, 200421 yr As murderers and assassins go, I don't think Mark David Chapman has that high of a name recognition. See how the headline refers to him not by name but as "John Lennon's killer." Whereas I can list Lee Harvey Oswald, John Wilkes Booth, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, Timothy McVeigh, and we all know instantly who they are and what they did without mentioning JFK, Lincoln, etc.
October 19, 200421 yr ^ yeah... but he is known as the "man who killed Lennon".... :stunned: I guess I know what you mean... but that wasnt the question... is he more or less famous than Lennon... :sneaky:
October 19, 200421 yr I don't think there's any question that he's still less famous than John Lennon. :P
