Coldplay.Toronto.June 11th (the memory thread)

Featured Replies

we laughed, we cried, it was better then cats! lol.

this is just a thread for all of us to go "oh and remember when this happened" and then the rest of us go "omg yeah!"

lol.

well, yeah. i'm listening to the scientist right now and i remember just not blinking. i remember just staring at chris very intently and sort of whispering along. ahhhh, what i wouldn't give to relive that night.

i <3 you dear

as for memories of the show...

i was giddy with excitement and felt like a total nerd when they came on stage with politik. had the biggest smile on my face.

i was near tears so many times through the night. i don't know how i wasn't balling when he did 'what a wonderful world'. two days ago i was listening to the tape from the hollywood bowl show and he played it and shortly after i was in a restaurant and the original version came on by louis armstrong. it's such a classic good song.

I heard the original just an hour ago too, reminded me of Chris :)

Well I wasn't in the Toronto gig but...

i was on lawn. but i guess i am lucky since i probably got the best lawn seats possible. :)

still a great, wonderful show.

right after the scientist i was going to yell out, "SING IT BACKWARDS!!" :D

not that he would be able to hear me. ;)

aww man..there were SO many tall, drunk people in front of me. It was not fun!

I couldn't see them much..but meeh, my legs were hurting from tippy toeing through the whole show. it was great. best night of my life. I can't wait to go to another one!

I had high people in front of me. Who the hell gets high at a Coldplay concert?

It was a great show indeed. I was listening to the gig last night on my discman. It was wonderful. I just closed my eyes and it just took me back in time. Isn't it nice to reminisce? :D

i also put the concert on a cd. well i actually couldn't fit one song on because it went overtime. but i still have all the other ones on one cd. i listened to part of it a few days ago. haha chris's voice messed up in trouble. :D

radio rebroadcast on DNTO

Hi!

CBC's radio one program, DNTO (Definitely Not the Opera...with always cool host Sook-Yin Lee) will be rebroadcasting 1 hour from Coldplay's T.O. show, back in June 2003.

-->It's TODAY, Sat. Oct 25, 4:00pm- 5:00pm Local time in Canada. Here's a blurb from their website:

"From 4-5

All you Coldplay freaks are in for a treat! We bring you a special one-hour exclusive live broadcast of Coldplay, recorded live at last summer's sold-out Molson Ampitheatre in Toronto. It's not often you hear one of the biggest bands on the planet on CBC Radio, so tune in, ya hear?"

So, while all you Canadians can tune in to the radio, others can listen to online streaming (I think they use RealPlayer).

Enjoy reliving the concert or finally hearing it for the first time!
