down in Georgia, everything is called "Coke." If its a softdrink, you say "hey, you want some coke or something?" even if you dont even have actual Coca Cola, even if you just have Pepsi. Coke is the generic word for carbonated beverage. I say "soda" though, pop is just ridiculous, and people who say "pop" should be shot. Hah, I'm just kidding, i really dont care what people call it.

to most canadians the idea of saying "soda" sounds ridiculous so THERE! lol. i tried to say it at a restaurant once and they were like "soda? you want soda water?" that's how uncommon it is to say it here.

 

and i also say coke a lot of the time too. even though i'm a pepsi girl.
