June 24, 200817 yr hahaha i know i think british accent is sexy ........but i think the only reason i like it its cause COLDPLAY!! have it haha.but i think italian and french is cool too
June 24, 200817 yr Anyway, I do love Scottish accents, and most British accents. And I don't know why, but I don't really like french accents--sorry to the French people here! Haha. It's nothing personal. :P And of course, I don't like my own. I guess, it's your regular 'ol American accent. Though, there's a lot of those too.
June 24, 200817 yr British accent (but not Cockney...I end up lol-ing instead :P) Australian (not too heavy though) Caribbean (it's appealingly unique to me, imo) American [u.S.] (when it's done a little more gracefully. even the infamous 'Southern' accent. but meh...i have to say the Boston accent is ace for kicks ) LOL Asian accent? Hahahah...well I am biased...
June 25, 200817 yr I was born and raised in the states, yet I have an accent that every human being I meet asks me about, I guess I inherited a german accent from my mom, but most say I sound english. It's annoying being asked about it 500 hundred times in my life, but I love british accents, so I take it as a compliment.
June 25, 200817 yr Italian is sexy. I think I almost died when Matt Bellamy dedicated Starlight to his "ragazza" at a concert in Milan, hehehehehe. btw... WHERE IS ITALIAN IN YOUR POLL?! :laugh3:
June 25, 200817 yr I adore Glasgow accents. They're my favorite. I may not always be able to pick up every word, but they sound so good I don't care. Lots of other favorites too- New Zeland, a lot of Northern English accents are so musical, Belfast has a special place in my heart for a couple of reasons, Oxford and Devon- those really gentle southern English accents are so nice on the ears (I specifically took the Math class in college I did because of the prof's I think it was Oxford accent- it was so much easier to pay attention.) It's all good.
June 25, 200817 yr British accents are my top accent. Some are very sexay! Then I'd say Scottish! :D
June 25, 200817 yr I'm a southern US guy, so I have a very slight southern accent. You'd have to listen carefully to hear it. My favorite accents are: 1. Northern British - it's hard to understand what they're saying, but it's infinitely cooler (or hotter, depending, lol) than the more proper Queens English accent. 2. Australian - doesn't matter to me how deep it is, it's cute. I loved hearing Claire on Lost. 3. Italian - nuff said. 4. Scottish - I had to edit to include this... this ties for my favorite accent with northern British. Scots sound too cool.

It's annoying being asked about it 500 hundred times in my life, but I love british accents, so I take it as a compliment. I know how that is too. My mom was born and raised in Bermuda [british territory], but I try really hard to sound "american" or whatever because I don't want people to think I'm snooty. And I'm offended Southern accents aren't on the poll! :P Well, I guess that can fall under American, but I voted for British anyway.
June 25, 200817 yr I'm from Liverpool, which is in the north of England. I don't really have a Liverpool accent, which is kind of weird. Maybe you can detect a tiny bit of one in certain things I say, I don't know. Nobody's ever asked me about my accent before. Anyway, I voted Spanish.
June 25, 200817 yr Italian is sexy. I think I almost died when Matt Bellamy dedicated Starlight to his "ragazza" at a concert in Milan, hehehehehe. btw... WHERE IS ITALIAN IN YOUR POLL?! :laugh3: :laugh3: Matt speaking italian is way too hot :P I like glasgow accent :P
June 25, 200817 yr british accent is kicking all the accents ass!!!!! But really... I cannot resist a british accent. i try, but just can't.
June 25, 200817 yr british all the way. and scottish too, but i have NO idea what's said most of the time. accents, any kind, have always fascinated me :D i have a boring, middle-of-the-road, apparently nondescript american accent, but yet i get asked about it all the time, at least from my home friends. it's weird, because i don't think i talk funny, but my entire life people have been imitating my voice and saying i sound different than most people. i think it might be the lack of a regional american accent, because a lot of my friends have the CT accent (silent T's, various other things), whereas i don't. my mom has a bit of a russian/ukrainian accent when she gets angry, and my dad's parents are from england, so maybe i'm just a hybrid of a bunch of different things? it was funny, because in 10th grade, every single one of my regular teachers except one had a british accent. i think i must be highly impressionable when it comes to accents, because people would tell me that some of my words would have a british lilt to them on occasion! then i started listening harder and realized i wasn't the only one of my friends to do this, but once again, i was the only one to get made fun of for it :dozey: even if i listen to british radio for long stretches of time, or see two british movies in a short period of time or something, my brain does this thing in which i think a bit in a british accent, and i think it might pop through on occasion in a word or two...i wish i could control it a bit better so people didnt think i was trying to be pretentious or anything :P
June 25, 200817 yr BTW, I've been told I sound exactly like Owen Wilson when I talk. :D Not sure if that's a good thing...?
