Concert Merchandise

Featured Replies

Aside from the general awesomeness that is watching Coldplay up on stage playing your favorite songs, another thing that I always look forward to is buying most of the stuff they're selling me! I make a point to buy shirts, etc. before the show to make sure I don't have to deal with anything selling out.

I have high hopes for this tour's merchandise. I'm sure everything will look amazing!

Any thoughts????

Im the same way.:D

It just wouldnt be a complete experience without taking a bunch of shirts, hats, mugs, pens, etc home with me to remember the experience everytime I get dressed, cover my eyes from sunlight, make coffee, or write a note, respectively.

Viva pointless tour merchandise!:D:D:cool:

I've only been to two concerts before and have never really cared enough to buy merchandise. Actually, I was invited to both at the very last minute by friends who already had the tickets and wouldn't have had time to save up enough money for merchandise anyway. This time around though, I think I'll get some stuff to commemorate the day.

I used to regularly buy a t shirt when I went to a concert, but don't usually bother now. Although my friend did buy me a t shirt the other day when I went to see Jack Johnson in Hyde Park. I will probably buy one when I see Coldplay in December, with all the tour dates on the back. :)

I usually find show merchandise a total rip-off - plus there's normally a horrendous queue after the show.

thats why you buy merch before the show -- its usually much less crowded plus a bigger selection as often times things sell out.

Lately stuff has been so expensive at shows, but Ive taken a liking to buying bands music at shows (for smaller bands).

Well if I'm in a standing area my priority is to get the best place possible, so that would never happen.;)

oh yes - didnt even think about that :) - its way apparent ive not been to a huge show in a long time, and the last time i did that i waited 1/2 a day to be in the very front when interpol played MSG. there was no way i was even thinking about merch :D

A better idea would be for someone to come along and take orders from people in the queue beforehand. Then they could either bring the stuff out, or you could collect it after the show and not miss out.;)

Or they could allow people to reserve merchandise online in advance.;)

seriously, i'm going to get there like two hours early to get my stuff.

ima be first in line, with like, loooots o' money. :D

Gotta get a t-shirt.

I'm one of the older fans here and when ever I wear one of my concert tees I get lots quizzical looks from (usually younger) folks who say...

"You saw Coldplay?"

I'm getting one before the show if I can

although the shows they have here are usually GA

Guess I'll just get a friend to save my spot :dozey:

Here's an idea for you!

Go to the Coldplaying Charity Club shop on Cafepress and buy a shirt to wear to the concert. They have some great designs and good prices. I already ordered mine.

Then you can still spring for a concert tee after you see the boys if you really can't live with out.

TOUR MERCHANDISE

Does anyone have any pictures or a list of merchandise that was being sold in the first gig in LA?

Yeah, I suggested someone put up a picture with their T-shirt on in the other thread. I heard the shirts are $40 which means I'm going to need to start saving up if I want one. I'm just curious as to what other merchandise they had so I can figure out exactly how much I'm going to need to save up.

Tour book?

The official program ($20) contains lyrics to all songs in Viva La Vida!

i want that tour book ! :wideeyed:
