October 24, 201213 yr I don't think that at all. The panoramas were taken of the fans, and for the fans, at the stadiums/arenas, they're not on a personal website, Coldplay post the links to the photos all over the web, twitter, facebook, Coldplay.com. I wasn't in any of the panoramas, but if I saw myself in one, then I would definitely want a print of it, whether I printed it myself, or had a photo website print it. I don't see what the difference is between making it your computer wallpaper, or screen saver or avatar, and printing out a nice copy to frame for your wall. there is a bit of a difference between printing it out and just using it as a wallpaper, screensaver, or avatar, in that if you go to a store and get it printed, you're going to pay money to that store so they'll print it for you, whereas if you're using it on your computer, there's no exchange there. it's not much of a difference, but it is to them. :P

October 24, 201213 yr October 24, 2012 - submitted by Alix P, United States of America Q. I have beautiful pictures of my daughter and her boyfriend , both 15 , at one of your concerts that I think you might like. They are under the confetti kissing and you can't tell it's them but it's really sweet. Where can I send them if you are interested? The Oracle replies: Feel free to upload it here.
October 24, 201213 yr October 24, 2012 - submitted by Daniel, United Kingdom Q. So come on then, which came first... The comic/story or the album? The Oracle replies: Well this is interesting because they were working on both at the same time yet both were very separate entities. However, the name Mylo Xyloto was first associated with the comic. It was only later when the musical direction of the album changed and the comic idea was put on the back burner that the name became the album's name. I hope that makes sense!
October 24, 201213 yr It was only later when the musical direction of the album changed I would love to hear the more back to basic album they wanted to make
October 24, 201213 yr Is it me or has Debs been hinting that this era is facing an end in the last couple batches of questions? Well it IS facing a end anyways.

October 25, 201213 yr October 25, 2012 - submitted by Alinda, Australia Q. What's Chris Martin's official facebook?? Pls I need to know!!! Thanx Oracle!! The Oracle replies: He doesn't have one & never has. In fact, the only member of the band who has ever had a Facebook account is Guy but not any more. He closed it years ago.
October 25, 201213 yr October 25, 2012 - submitted by Devyani, India Q. Hey Oracle! With so many live performances of the same songs over the years, how does the band manage to keep alive the thrill they get when they listen to their own songs? I mean, it must be hard for them to get goosebumps even if they listen to a beauty like Clock' or Fix You because, well, they play them so often, right? Wouldn't it be horrible to get bored with your own songs? Thanks loads, Devyani The Oracle replies: They don't listen to their own songs; they perform them. That makes a lot of difference. When you get on stage every night in front of a huge crowd who are all there to watch you, the energy, the adrenalin and the show take over. They sometimes change song arrangements to inject new life into them but most bands will say they know when they write a song it's got to be good enough to want to play it for the next 15 years or so. I guess if they don't have that feeling, they know to ditch it so those we probably never hear. Chris has said that Yellow will never be dropped from the set because that's what people want to hear. That song launched their career and hopefully that means they'll never get bored of performing it.
October 26, 201213 yr October 26, 2012 - submitted by The Oracle, United Kingdom Q. WHO'D LIKE TO JOIN TEAM ORACLE? When I answer questions of a personal nature, Coldplay.com readers often get in touch with their own thoughts. So, we now have a weekly feature, Team Oracle, whereby each Friday (with the question asker's permission) we open up a question to all of you to answer too. Then, the following Friday, I'll post a selection of the best answers, alongside my own reply. ANYONE can join in so, if you'd like to, please email your response to the following question, in no more than 250 words, to [email protected] before midnight Thursday 1st November. I've been married to someone for many years. Because of his job keeping him away from home a large percent of the time, we pretty much have been living as single people. When are no longer compatible when together even though nothing is really wrong. People think if you're married you should live together. Isn't it possible to have a soulmate yet live apart? Anon. October 26, 201213 yr October 26, 2012 - submitted by Bella, United Kingdom Q. TEAM ORACLE QUESTION #93 There is a boy in my class who tells me through email that he is in love with me. We are both 9th graders. I do not know how to respond to this. I don't feel that I like him back in this way and I certainly do not want to hurt his feelings either! How do I handle this?! Please help. The Oracle replies: It's a tricky one Bella but how nice you care enough to not want to hurt his feelings. For me, the longer you drag it out, there's a danger you may but that's not your fault. I'd suggest you let him know as soon as you can and gently. I don't know how well you know him which could change the approach but all you need to do is say thank you and add that you like him but not in the same way - just as you have told "us". Without knowing how you do feel I can't advise you to say any of the following things unless they are true: You don't know him well enough to have any other feelings than you do. You think you're both too young right now. You could say whether you're flattered, if it made you smile, if it was a lovely thing to hear etc. Maybe tell him something you do like about him to help let him down gently. If you do know him well you could say you'd prefer to stay friends and take it from there. Over to you. From experience I would let him down and tell him that you're flattered, but are not interested at the moment. Because if you don't tell him, he'll just keep wondering might get stressed out because if most guys tell you indirectly, then they're probably scared to tell you face-to-face to just give them a holler You don't have to like him, but be nice to him and love is a fragile thing. Plus you're in 9th grade so there's still a lot you have to learn coming from an 11th grader. Just be nice and courteous and all will be fine I promise. Billy N. It is kind of you that you don’t want to hurt the boy’s feelings, but it will not work without this completely, when you don’t feel back and are not interested at all. Effectively you can make it short and less hurting. You can answer the mails, but not several times, this could mean only a false hope for him. For myself I probably would ignore them and wait for a face to face situation. Then tell him the truth, don’t try to explain, no discussion, no excuses like “I’ve got a boyfriend”. Be respectful and polite, but then straight and firm. If he’s not reasonable then you should tell the situation to someone you trust in. Best wishes. L.Q. First it's so nice to see how much respect you've got for his feelings, is very sensible from you. I understand what you say and my thought is: don't be rude but try to be as clear as possible! Write an e-mail, a message... a kind one (if the situation if friendly) but don't hide the fact that you don't feel the same. Even if he may be hurt I think it's it could be a good way to create a new friendship in the future. I deeply believe that sincerity is one the most important thing in every kind of relationship. Good luck! MC - Italy. You have to talk to him. I really don't want to push you, but when you think about it, that's the only fair solution. Walking around pretending like you haven't read the e-mail will either give him hopes that you actually haven't read it yet, and he'll be waiting for the reaction, or he'll be really hurt when he realizes that you're not going to do anything about it. More than a week has passed now, and if I were him, i'd start to regret sending the email, and think was a big mistake. Maybe next time he's in love he won't tell that person how he feels. You have a great power over him right now, and the best thing you can do is tell him that he didn't do anything wrong. You can talk to him, it doesn't have to be a big deal, but you tell him how you feel and say something nice to him. It probably took him a lot of courage to send the email, and he deserves some respect. Love from A, Sweden. It's much better for you to tell him right away and risk letting him down a little, then for him to get his hopes up. If you’re not interested in him that way, he deserves to know, so don’t worry about coming off as mean or insensitive because you won’t as long as you are kind and let him down easy. I think it’s really nice that you're so considerate and I totally understand that you’re afraid that it will hurt his feelings. However, I honestly believe that you would be hurting him more if you didn’t let him know. So my advice would be to just tell him as soon as possible. Sincerely, Medina. The more I thought about your question the more I realised that quite simply, in love (as well as in life) I think that it’s important to always remain true to you, and to your heart. If you don’t like this boy in ‘that way’ then simply, gently, tell him (either through email or to his face - I think whichever you feel will be easier for both him and for you) Perhaps tell him that you value his friendship & that you hope you could remain as ‘just friends’. He might not be able to accept that, & you might lose his friendship which would be sad. Or… his feelings might be hurt, his pride a little wounded, but then you both are able to continue in school & life as friends! Sometimes it can be a little tricky trying to find that balance of being true to self while at the same time not hurting others, & I love that you are sensitive to his feelings, but it's my opinion, that although in the moment-of-happening truth & honesty can often seem the hardest, they are the best. Good luck, love Cali. Answering this helps me to get a bit over my own grief at the moment, because of the death of our beloved cat. As for your question, on how to respond, and looking at how you describe your own feelings, my suggestion would be. Simply don't. And if you are a polite person, politely reject whatever he is offering. It's completely normal that you don't like him back, because the mail is definitely not the medium for giving away these kind of emotions or feelings. Another thing is, it reads also more like some sort of fanmail, and that is of course something you can enjoy. Why not? Being loved, isn't that what we all want? (Sad) greetings from Rames. You should always do what's best for you, 'cause in the end it'll be what's best for you both. If you want you to stay friends, then I'm sure that in a short matter of time he'll accept it. If you want him on a distance, then it's totally ok, just remember to show respect while moving away from him. Love from Jennie, Sweden. Thanks to all those who replied to this week’s question. Remember, Team Oracle is open to anyone so if you fancy replying, click to read this week's, and send us your answer.
October 29, 201213 yr October 29, 2012 - submitted by Mary, United Kingdom Q. Wait. I'm so confused. So the Coldplay film is showing in select theaters? I thought you only bought it online? Please explain! Thanks! The Oracle replies: Both are more than possible... you can only buy it online but you can also watch it in selected cinema. That's obviously going to depend on where you live as it's not on general release or anything. Anchorman will provide more news about all that soon.
October 29, 201213 yr October 29, 2012 - submitted by Denise, United Kingdom Q. Hello Oracle! I was just wondering if the boys were planning on doing more dates in Edinburgh & Kircaldy, in early December? I saw this on the website 'concert boom' & I hope it is true! thanks! :) The Oracle replies: I can't put it more simply than this: if it's not on OUR website, it's either not confirmed or not happening. Our live section shows all our current dates and unless or until you read about live dates on this website treat all other reportings as rumour. I can tell you for a fact that Coldplay are NOT playing any Scottish dates in December nor has that ever been a probability.
October 29, 201213 yr October 29, 2012 - submitted by Grace, Australia Q. Who is the "anchorman". I love Coldplay and always will, but I just don't understand whom the anchorman is. Is it the anchor of Coldplay or is it just one of the guys? The Oracle replies: As you know I won't reveal identities so I will answer what is an anchorman? An anchorman is at the helm of a radio/TV news programme. They present the news and coordinate and liaise with the rest of the team. The term is more popular in the U.S and perhaps the most famous one is the fictional . The name does indeed come from the idea they act as an anchor for all the news correspondents.
October 30, 201213 yr October 30, 2012 - submitted by Gordon, United Kingdom Q. So, we know about Anchorman but what about an Oracle. What's your story? How much do you know? The Oracle replies: Well, I know quite bit. I've got nothing to do with The Matrix and have never been to Delphi. I am more the "Optional Reception of Announcements by Coded Line Electronics" Oracle. I can be wise and sometimes make wisecracks but I'd like to take the opportunity to tell you what I am not. I am not a public information service so it's pointless asking me about: Tour dates - I won't speculate, reveal, confirm/deny any so don't ask. They'll be announced on this site and then appear in the Live section. Petitions won't work either. Live 2012 DVD - you know as much as me. It's all there in News or the Shop. Live 2012 cinema screenings - click the link and find out the info - I don't know. I can't give permission for song usage (neither can the band - ask the label / publishers). I can't grant personal requests, shout outs, dedications or invite the guys to your wedding (insert any special occasion here). I won't tell you the meaning behind songs. I make good soups but that's of no use to you at all. I am looking for really interesting, thoughtful questions but I'm not here to repeat what you've already read on this very website. Let's mix it up guys and talk about some good stuff. Who's going to go first?
October 30, 201213 yr October 30, 2012 - submitted by Ana, United States of America Q. Hello Oracle, Why does Chris sometimes kiss the stage at the end of a concert? Thanks! Ana The Oracle replies: Some people kiss the tarmac when they get off a plane when it lands at "home" and some footballers kiss the turf. It's just to mark what an amazing gig they had; a thank you, a goodbye and great night had.
October 30, 201213 yr October 30, 2012 - submitted by Fatin, Malaysia Q. Dear Oracle, I've been wondering why does the song Don't Panic/Beautiful World has two title? Salam from Malaysia. The Oracle replies: It doesn't; the song is called Don't Panic. It is often referred to as Beautiful World because of the lyrics but that's a mistake as it's not and never has been its title. It was previously called Panic but that is the only other name it has ever had.

October 31, 201213 yr October 31, 2012 - submitted by Elliott L, United Kingdom Q. I wanted to book tickets to Coldplay Live 2012 on Vue cinemas but I was surprised to find that it is a certificate 15 so I cant see it. Why is this, Do they swear or anything, its just confusing :) P.S - HUGE HUGE HUGE Fan of Coldplay if you couldn't tell :) Greetings From UK! The Oracle replies: I'm not sure if you got to see the show during the tour but yes, Chris does swear. It's only a couple of times so I didn't realize that would make it a certificate 15 though. PG surely? Anyway, in 19 days everyone will be able to watch it on DVD.
October 31, 201213 yr October 31, 2012 - submitted by Melanie, St Lucia Q. I have to say that Coldplay's music videos are some of the most innovative and entertaining that I have ever come across. Do the video concepts come from the band themselves? The Oracle replies: Sometimes but by no means every time. They have a video commissioner at their label plus Phil Harvey is very involved in that creative process of looking at directors, pitches and treatments for video ideas. The whole concept for the Paradise video came from Chris and was all planned last minute while they were in South Africa.
November 1, 201213 yr November 1, 2012 - submitted by Craig, United Kingdom Q. Hi oracle. I'm currently contemplating over seeing the Live 2012 showing at the cinema and can't quite work out if I should go or not. Can you help me please? How do you imagine the atmosphere being there? Will people even be singing along or anything? Won't it feel strange for me since I've been to many (17) Coldplay shows in person? Thanks, and I only need a tiny bit of convincing to go haha! :-) The Oracle replies: SEVENTEEN??? That's more that I went to. Wow. Well... having seen both the MX Tour live - about 8 times - and the Live 2012 at a cinema I am in a good position to say: go! It's always great to re-live the show but the film means you see it from many angles including from the stage. It's incredible to see what the band see. Not only are there various views, there's backstage footage and other effects making it an altogether different experience. Of course you could wait for the DVD release but seeing it on the big screen with surround sound is a fantastic way to see it. I almost turned round a few times thinking crowds were whistling and cheering behind me. I was on the back row though...
November 1, 201213 yr November 1, 2012 - submitted by Rebecca, Canada Q. Dear Oracle, I saw the poster/picture on Facebook for the Coldplay live tour DVD and stumbled upon a familiar name near the bottom: Jim Parsons. How did the oh so famous Dr. Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory get around to producing this amazing film? Thanks Oracle! The Oracle replies: A few fans have asked the same but it's not him; this is a different Jim Parsons. Jim owns a UK based production company and previously worked for another who worked with Coldplay in the past.
