Ah yes, well actually the balloons are credited to the correct site but it was (wrongly) assumed that the crowns came from the same source. We'll get something added for you guys too!

  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

^^ Fair enough, people from Coldplayitalia.com are also very nice :nice:

Q. I think Coldplay should cover Alphaville's "Forever Young" - Do you think the band would agree?

The Oracle replies:

I loved Alphaville's Big In Japan when I was at school... anyway, I digress. In answer to your question hopefully not! I can back this up with a tenuous link.

Even though Alphaville* recorded the original, Youth Group** covered it a few years back. They're an awesome band from Australia and supported Coldplay whilst there on the Twisted Logic tour. I think their take on it is awesome and it earned them a number 1 single for weeks! Two great versions are enough surely?

Q. Dear Oracle !

A few days ago, I was watching Coldplay's 2003 live and a question popped into my head : how do the band choose the place where they record their live show for the DVD? And do you know in which country this tour will be recorded ?

The Oracle replies:

Usually the decision is based on a few factors. The Live 2003 venue was chosen due to its size, they wanted a relatively intimate feel, which can be difficult given the size of arenas!

There's no official word on a DVD and as you know, Anchorman's the man to watch for such news.

Q. Do you know who will be supporting Coldplay on their forthcoming UK tour? Doves would be great if poss!

The Oracle replies:

I do have an inkling of who yes, but I can't possibly announce it. I am not the Anchorman you see, but am sure he'll be telling y'all soon. It's not Doves again though. 'Again?' I hear you ask, well sorry if you missed that back in July 2005.

Okay, I have just decided that I will submit a question every day until I get one published! It has to happen! :D

Jeez, if only I was this disciplined about my school work...

so i'm guessing this is as much we're gonna get on our DVD question........ :(

i find it interesting that among all of the crappy questions, she always finds a way to answers ours........ even when it wasn't submitted by a coldplaying member..... ;)

Q. Dear O, has any of the boys ever been offered a role in a movie? Would they accept it if they found the script good enough?

The Oracle replies:

Chris was offered a role in a huge film but the guys aren't actors, they're musicians and so won't be considering a career change at this point!

FYI: I'm not going to reveal which film because that wouldn't be fair to the actor who eventually played the role; he might think he was the first and only choice!

Q. I'm anxious to know, which Oasis songs did Coldplay try out in their soundcheck ? I love Coldplay, and Oasis too. DO you think Oasis' new album will be a good one ?

The Oracle replies:

Well Marvin, they played around with Cigarettes and Alcohol in a recent soundcheck. I already KNOW the new Oasis album is a good one, I was pleasantly surprised, I'd given up on them years ago, but it's a return to form.

Q. Why did Coldplay translate "Viva La Vida" to "Death and all His Friends" and not "Live the Life?"

The Oracle replies:

They didn't. I think you are misunderstanding the title. The full album title is:

Viva La Vida

or

Death And All His Friends

They're not saying that Death.. is what Viva la Vida means, it's more of an alternative title.

Q. Oracle,

Why do people who live in England who are studying math say, " my Maths" ?

The Oracle replies:

Mathematics sounds like a plural noun and so over the years we snuck in the s when we shortened it.

Everyday I check these in hope of seeing my name on there... but no... it's never there :bigcry:

I'm so dramatic

i asked a new question just now to Oracle:

Oracle i saw that Coldplay played Reign of love in Milan, and also they played Yes two times in european tour.Is it possible for both of the songs from Viva la vida album to be there on the setlist in the future shows?

I hope that there is a possibility for the band to play them because both of the songs are from the new album not from old albums.Am i right?

.

i don't know why but i can't see Chris in movies, i want to listen to the lyrics and music of the piano and everything he performs and want to see him live always.

And also i like him so personally. The character he choses for movies makes me worry for him whether i can see him like that and opposite of any actress or not.:\

Last sentence sense makes not.

If he were in a movie I think it'd be a bit weird but I'm sure he could pull it off if he really wanted to

may be it is or not! ^

but i just can't see him in movies!

I feel ok if he is there in music world not movies!

Hi!

cha buckland asked about the music played before the gig here in this topic.

I was in Strasbourg, 1st Sept. and I'm almost sure they played the same music...

So as nobody seems to know what music that was - isn't that a question for the Oracle?

It seems like at the moment they don't play it anymore.

But I'd also like to know what it was!!!

What is your opinion? Is that a question that might be answered?

I wanna know what film role Chris was offered :wideeyed:

A "huge" film? Hmmm.

Iron Man? :P

^^^ oh no!!!!!!!! can you imagine him as Meryl Streep's love interest???? :freak:

Mamma mia!

As one of the Fathers?

Hahaha, that would be classic!!! I think that Chris would pretty well in acting, im mean he's done some acting before!!!!

^^^ oh no!!!!!!!! can you imagine him as Meryl Streep's love interest???? :freak:

yeah i can't imagine that not even her besides any other actress.

If he really wanna go into movies then immediately there is a urgency now for me to become a hollywood actress so that i can get a role opposite him as a lead actress and then we both can do sex scenes with each other.:laugh3:

As one of the Fathers?

aye!! it would have to be in Pierce Brosnan's character. coz I like Colin Firth too much to ditch him, and the other guy worked really well with Julie Walters
