Sneaky oracle, slipping in more later :sneaky:

The third one might've taken her a while!

  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

Yeah, I waited for half an hour after the second one before saying that I thought she was done for the day, but clearly that one took some time.

I have to say, she gives great advice, but I too would like a bit more focus on the band...

Someone ask if Coldplay plan to use the new stage set up for the whole of the european tour

I would imagine from Roadie #42's blog that they will be... why don't you ask the question yourself

Q. Dear Oracle,

The boys are best friends in real life? They're hanging out together?

The Oracle replies:

Yeah totally, they are the best of friends. Obviously when they're on tour they spend a LOT of time together so when they get home they spend time with their family and friends but are often hanging out at the studio and do socialize together too.

:D:D aaww

How do you do it?

Two nations separated by an ocean... and a language!

Q. Roadie 42 frequently mentions "punters" when talking about people at Coldplay concerts. As I'm assuming it's a British term, can you provide a definition of the word for the rest of us? PS(make sure #42 knows how much we love the blog!)

The Oracle replies:

When Roadie #42 talks of punters, he's referring to the audience. Technically the term means a paying customer.

Q. Dear Oracle,

on every album of Coldplay (so far) are two brands: Parlophone and EMI. Which one is the record dealer and what is the other one?

(Sorry for my lack of vocabulary).

The Oracle replies:

Basically they both are. If you imagine that EMI as a record company is a very large pie, Parlophone is a slice of that pie but still a record label within it.

Q. Are the boys and the crew looking forward to or dreading the end of the Viva La Vida tour in less than a month?

The Oracle replies:

I wouldn't use the word dread to describe how they're feeling; the guys love playing live but it's always rather nice for everyone to return to their normal everyday life after being on the road for such an incredible length of time. That said, it was once described to me as... "From following a schedule of being told where to be, where to go and when to do it and suddenly arriving home free to do anything you like is strange and takes some adjusting to".

They are all definitely ready for a well deserved break.

Q. Dear Oracle,

Do Coldplay like to listen to Sigur Ros?

The Oracle replies:

Absolutely! They are big fans.

They are all definitely ready for a well deserved break.

:bigcry:

A break Lore... she said a break. She didn't say, "they'll be gald to take a year off"

Think positive!

hey a question

when you ask the oracle a question and he replies

does he send you back a message to your mail adress to tell you he answered to your questionin the site?

please tell me people :)

Nope, you'll just have to keep checking the site

Q. Are there camping arrangements at Wembley for those of us that want to camp out before the gig to get nearer the front? And will there be a golden circle with wristbands? Thank-you

The Oracle replies:

Not really no. It has been known for music fans to turn up well in advance spending the night in sleeping bags outside the venue; the atmosphere tends to be great. However, it will be very cold if you plan to be there in the wee hours. I wouldn't recommend anyone doing this alone or without telling others where you are. You must think safety first and so if anyone under adult age is thinking of doing this, get your parents' permission.

I've never known there not to be a golden circle set-up at Wembley.

For those that don't know, the golden circle is the area that the first come, first served fans get to stand in. They're issued with a wristband so they can leave and re-gain entry making life easier for loo and food stall visits.

Q. Hello dear Oracle, I've read that Chris Martin has written Natalie Imbruglia's new single Want. Is this true? And in that case how this collaboration came up?

The Oracle replies:

There are 3 Coldplay collaborations on Natalie's new album including first single Want.

The band and Natalie have been friends for many years now and she was invited to the studio to record a couple of tracks and that was that!

And finally, today's "Oh my God, I can't believe they asked that..."

Q. Chris famously said he doesn't trust black people, isn't that racist?

The Oracle replies:

That's a direct quote by Ricky Gervais from a spoof interview with Chris, so it's important to point out that the entire chat was a joke full of untruths much like Chris' appearance on Extras. I'm sure you knew that? It's important to let people know that it's pure fiction... just in case!

Q. Hullo there!

I've never been to a Coldplay concert, so I was wondering what happens to those yellow balls they let loose on the crowd? Do people keep them or do the band/crew take them back?

The Oracle replies:

I have seen various things happen to the yellow balloons; the majority are popped (they have confetti inside). Some people fight over ownership (ugly!) and some do make it outside. I'd love to see someone try and get one in the boot of their car! Some make their way to Chris and he pops them with his guitar.

The point is to bounce them around from person to person and then pop them! They're certainly not meant to end up back with the crew.

Maybe what he meant to ask was where the phrase comes from... surely everyone knows what it means???

Q. Dearest Oracle,

What does "OK" mean?

The Oracle replies:

If I describe something as "ok" it means it's not bad or adequate. If someone asks me if I would want to do something and I reply "ok" it means yes. Sometimes I use it as a pause before I launch into an answer.

And finally...

Q. After reading about all these huge venues, I'm afraid that my hometown Coldplay concert must have been blah for the band. There were only 13,000 people. Do they hate doing small shows?

The Oracle replies:

That's a pretty small capacity for this tour to be honest but don't worry because they love playing smaller venues too. The stadium shows are gonna see the band perform in front of crowds of around 40-60,000+.

Maybe what he meant to ask was where the phrase comes from... surely everyone knows what it means???[/color][/b]

Hahaha, yeah...I thought the same thing!

Q. Hello Oracle,

I am still unsuccessful in accessing your services. However, I still have faith. I just watched the How We Saw The World movie. Are the boys executing a "runner" at the end of the credits?

The Oracle replies:

I can see why you would think that, given they are physically running and yes by definition they are indeed executing a runner.

Once they leave the stage, they take off their in-ear monitor equipment and mic packs and run to their awaiting vehicles. If there's no runner, they erm, walk!
