I dont think its a good idea having Ambassadors for all the regions of the world.

The Hispanic /Español one was a good idea... but take Europe for example.. there is too much of a wide catergory, and u are going to end up 10 people being nominated for it, but with only 2 votes each.

Rick, are you still going to have the 2 stage voting?

 

One advantage is when you get to the shortlist stage you might end up with more votes because given a list of 5 or so names is better than given a blank space (requiring people to think more hard)

 

One disadvantage is that the awards will start earlier in order to fit in the 1st stage.
