I dont think olamba is gonna win. He does not appear to convinving enough !

We are all doomed !

in less than a year US /UK and some Eastern European countires will be a war against the Russians

Both parties are fundamentally the same, and both are controlled by a higher authority. Whoever gets the hot seat in November, the only change will be the person's face.

And does anybody want to buy a nuclear war fallout shelter?

but you're wrong. there is clearly a difference in the parties. thats why the country has been so much worse the last 8 years than the 8 before that.

Because global markets change, times change as well. It's not like if both parties were the same, everything would be the exact same for 50 years, their will be natural dips and rises in the economy and other things.

And another major influence is, with times changing the corporations change and rich people change, thus you have different lobbyist and companies doing different thing, offering money and favors for different task that change with time.

If you had one group of people rule a nation for 40 years, their still would be ups and downs....

The decline of the last 8 years stems from One party controlled by business and lobbyist changing over time and other nations changing over time. It's quite complex and hard to explain.

You sir are correct.

We have a bomb shelter down the street from my house, but it wouldn't work for nuclear war....

On the old farm, it was the root cellar. Grandpa called it his "Kruschev Cellar", just in case Kruschev decided to bomb the farm!:laugh3: David, how can you sell a bomb shelter? That's like selling a wine cellar, isn't it???:)

And I think there is a significant difference - if Obama & Biden win, and with a Democratic Congress, things will change.

The dems voted for the war, the dems have been in power in congress and haven't done a single thing. Bottom line, both parties are the problem. And they keep people with your attitude and we keep getting the same people in office. They bank on your attitude and it works every election. When the dems mess up, we'll be "the Republicans can fix it" then they get elected and do the EXACT SAME THINGS as the Democrats, so what do we do? We elected the Democrats and then they fail, so we elect the republicans...its a cycle and it's taking a toll on our nation, but not on the dems and republicans in power.

Don't fool yourself the Democrats are the same problem the Republicans are, furthering their agenda will just keep the cycle.

No offense but you're attitude is the same as most Americans and it's what fucking over our nation every election no matter what party wins.

The dems and repubs both vote against the constitution, against person freedoms, for wars like Iraq. Both waste massive amounts of money, both let corruption run rampant in our government. I just wish people would stop furthering the cycle with this ridiculous way of thinking.

Hate to say it but in 4 years after a democrat wins, we'll still be in bad shape, we'll still have the same policies that hurt us. And 8 year's the same thing will be true because people will still think electing the other party will change the way things are going.

Some of the Dems voted for the war, but not all did. They caved to the pressure at a time when they should have stood firm, out of the fear of stepping out of line and being labeled "un-American", a move which they thought would have cost them their seats in Congress. Sure, they chickened out, but the lies we were all told by the administration took a toll as well on their ability to counter the drive towards war.

Yes, the cycle is there, which is why we need a complete overhaul of the elections process, to remove excessive influence buying, and to restore accountability in elected officials, so that those more likely to work for their constituents interests (as well as the interests of the country as a whole), will have the better odds of winning. The Right to Fair Elections should be added as an amendment, and with guidelines specific to limit the influence of money in elections.

...But the Democrats generally are backed by the labor, environmental, and minority groups, and therefore have a higher probability of improving conditions for the average working man or woman. To say they are the same is to ignore their voting records, which, if you want to have a look at, go to http://www.votesmart.org. No offense, but your attitude lacks complete analysis, and while there is a problem because of the corrupting influence of money in both parties, there still are some very fundamental difference - open your eyes.

Most did. Most voted for wiretapping, most voted for massive amounts of spending, most voted against the constitution.

They vote the wrong way for Americans just like the Republicans. Are you simply to buy into their rhetoric because they say they're different? That's foolish.

It does not matter who backs them, because in the end they still vote for wasteful spending, wars, and against the constituion, thats all while being backed by groups of people you like. What does it matter if George Washington backed them if they still voted for these horrible things?

You're basing your vote on what type of people and groups back them? thats horrible, because that does not change how most of them voted and will vote. If these labor groups made a difference it would show, but for years now minorities and labor grouped backed the dems and they still do the same things as republicans.

My attitude COMES from complete analysis of Politicians and their votes and views from the last 60 years. My analysis is backed by what they've done vs what they've said. They talk as though they are different from dems but usualy vote like the Republicans. Talk vs action is the best way to judge things. Follow the money and follow what they do. Don't get swept up in smooth talking or fads because THAT is what keeps and puts bad leaders into power.

Youre view comes from what they say and who they are supported by and that is dangerous.

There is a difference, yes there is in what they say. The same type of people buy off their votes and they vote in favor of corruption.

I'm mad at Bush for the war and attacks on our constitution, but guess what, none of that was possible WITHOUT the democrats in Congress. Open your eyes

we complain about Bush and the Iraq war and wire tapping, yet we let the Democrats AND republicans pass those bills and let the war happen.

the facts:

Dems are bad on national security like the republicans

Dems are bad on our freedoms just like the repubs

Dems are bad on war(causing many wars in our history and they made the war in Iraq possible)

But yes lets ignore the horrible things they've done and continue to do because they say they're different then the republicans. ANd this cycle will continue thanks to millions of ignorant american who watch tv and believe what they hear instead of researching the hard facts and history.

In the next 50 years we'll get the same policies because of these beliefs. Talk is cheap but I guess people still don't understand that simple fact.
