AROBTTH comes close in some songs but parachutes def. has a more melancholy intimacy about it. AROBTH is more romantic, but I'm still goin with parachutes.

AROBTTH for me

This is going to sound like a cop out but its really a tie between the first 3 albums for me. I think they were all just chock full of emotion

i LOVE X&Y but i just dont feel the emotion in hes voice....but i love that album......but WE NEVER CHANGE AND AMSTERDAM are the top songs for me......

I'll have to say Parachutes (and in many ways, AROBTTH); their early music has particularly touched me. The raw feeling of love and melancholia that appears throughout these albums is (to me) the most compelling aspect of any Coldplay compositions. This mix of emotionality and simplicity, unfortunately, seems to have been lost in X&Y (granted, the emotionality is still hugely apparent, though lacking the 'classically' subdued and discordant melodies that came before it - therefor creating overall less of an emotive impact on the listener).

 

But that's just how I see it. :rolleyes: And I'm not trying to downplay X&Y, or ignore Viva la Vida, but they have not affected me quite in the way that Parachutes and AROBTTH have.

AROBTTH. No contest. That album is me.

also to me i cant see how somebody can say that with the album viva u can feel the emotion in hes voice and in the music and lyrics cause to me that album has no emotion at all. i me ya its a great album with beautiful songs but i dont feel anything like the other albums..........viva to me is kinda like a hip hop album and when i listen to it i feel like its not coldplay but i still love it!

Parachutes tops it.. its full of emotion thats what made them famous.! And AROBTTH is not much just okay (based on emotion but nonetheless a untouchable album!:)) X&Y weith fix you man thats a great song! X*Y 's brilliant album emotion is there also.. But VLV i dont know yet... heheh dont have it yet:rolleyes:

Parachutes for me, XY, None for me, A Rush a lot of emotion, Viva I think is not emotion because they wanted to tear themselves away from that but it is very colourful!!

I listened to some of the songs again of coldplay in the first 3 albums

 

Here I Go:

 

Parachutes -- a relaxing album always looking forward for a listen when i want to be relaxed....... Chris's voice in here i THINK is one of the best.. its sincere and pulls your heartstrings.. hehe\

 

AROBTTH - a great undeniably fantastic , classic album....... I think the emotions in this album is varied, some songs like in my place, GPASUYF, One I love(b-side), Clocks , Warning sign makes me very happpy and i wanna just dance in every song, while scientist, Politik, Amsterdam, AROBTTH and many more makes me sad and think about life... so ... its very varied

 

X&Y - I think this albums varied also, I love this album think its one of their best, Some tracks makes me wanna rock out and just jump! Like speed of sound, talk, low, etc.... some makes me wanna think about life again... like what if, fix you, a message etc...... So its kinda hard to say its a varied album but fantastic musically

 

Viva la vida --- since i dont have the album yet, I think from the first two singlees violet hill and viva la vida, is amazingly colorful! yeah everytime i hear these songs it makes me happy as in really happy about life and that tops that! plus i heard some songs in the radio from the album and yeah it made me happy again! A happy album and as the others say an EPIC album viva is!

I think AROBTTH contains the most out of all of them, in my opinion. It deals with a lot of love and happiness with songs like The Scientist and Green Eyes, and the flipside with songs like Amsterdam and AROBTTH, like Loki mentioned. It covers a wide range of emotions that I can relate to a lot of the time.

 

Parachutes and X&Y do come close to the sort of emotion I get from AROBTTH, and some of them do have their strong emotional points, but I don't get it all through the album like I do with A Rush Of Blood. And Viva La Vida tells a sort of story, in my eyes (which I'm contemplating writing, actually).

Parachutes- Songs like We never Change and Shiver get me every time. Often if I'm feel especially aweful I will literally break down just from listening to the songs.

 

AROBTTH- Songs like GPAS and Daylight are very uplifting songs but as been said, it's a varied album.

 

X&Y- I rarely listen to this album anymore but Fix you always gets me and same with a Message

 

VLV- Strawberry Swing is a demon in disguise for me. Makes me feel so happy but it also reminds me of how trapped I am. I've got a serious case of Small Town blues.

All albums are great.

But for me A Rush Of Blood To The Head is the best of all albums they have released.

Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends is great too,it`s wonderful i could say,it`s colorful as you said,but A Rush Of Blood To The Head gives me a lot of emotions.

And Parachutes,X&Y are great too,Fix You is the most amazing song and Trouble too.
