Coldplay To Play 'Later With Jools Holland' - 7th October

Featured Replies

Makes him look like a bit of a prat though. Ah well. :P

I had hoped they'd have been a little more natural on Jools though, dumped all the backing stuff...

Will stop picking holes in it now...promise :curtain:

hehe, backing tracks aside I thought Lost was fantastic tonight but Chris sounded ever so slighty rusty on Viva La Vida. Wasn't a terrible performance tho, it was very good. Lost was the best performance out of the two tho for me personally.

Backing tracks and mess ups aside yes it was good.

Wonder what the third will be. My money is on 42. :idea2:

Yeah I'd love it to be 42 but on Jools don't bands tend to play the 3 singles they plan to release? I'm guessing they are gonna release Lovers In Japan after Lost, so they might play that one

I'm still going with Lovers In Japan.. but still hoping for another one :wacky:

Haha, well as long as Chris actually plays the piano part that's fine by me :P

he looked hammered in antwerp... Poor guys Chris must be slaving on them for the EP../

sometimes I think he does it on purpose:lol:

aiiiii second time he fucked something like that up....

Mwhaaaaaaa....first time: Cologne!That was so funny..:laugh4:

:laugh3: I'm totally with you regarding these backing tracks! To me it's abit lazy to play to a backing track, Chris could easily play the piano and just decide not to run around the stage :laugh3:

 yeah and not pretend to play behind the tv set at the beginning.....

I can (sort of) see why he does it during the big gigs, or why they use all the stuff during the big gigs. They feel they're a huge band, people have paid premium prices, they want to put on an entertaining show by utilising the stage etc.

But on TV, when the little tricks are exposed so easily I think they need to go back to basics and actually PLAY the songs. Not just part of the songs, like you said, it's kind of lazy.

Right, will stop bitching now...promise

I'd love 42 and yes and lovers in japan for the friday

I can't see your point  (yes break your promise  :P)

You can't see my point? Regarding why they use backing tracks at all?

Well I can't be arsed talking about such trivial matters as "monkey noises" or backing tracks, what really matters is... Guy looked f**king hot tonight :smoking: :P

I can't really stay more time online :bigcry: and read threads so

what did they play?? :D
