Vote for Rick Astley as best act ever in the MTV 'Europe' Awards

Featured Replies

Who?

How can they be best act ever, hardly anybody outside Germany has heard of them :P

I don't like Tokio Hotel, but they are successful worldwide especially in France and the United States. They even won a VMA a few months ago for Best Artist and their supporters are very young and crazy, so it will be hard for Rick or U2 to win. ;)

They're still nothing other than a "teeny" band, and therefore can't be taken seriously.:dozey:

No one in this nomination can't be taken seriously I'd say. I was reading an article about Rick Astley the other day and he felt ashamed of being nominated. so why should everyone vote for him?

Simply because we're making a joke of it.;)

I don't think Rick ever took himself that seriously, whereas Jokio obviously do.;)

I think it's just a waste of time to vote for him, nothing more. :dozey:

^Well it might well be, but at least we're making a statement!:D

everybody bow down to the new best act ever

Hehe

^Did he really win??:stunned:

Yes! :)

Haven't you heard it by now?

Just the way the MTV presenters reacted wasn't really professional.

I mean, they should have given the award to him, at least that's what the voting was for ...

^Well maybe they'll now stop wasting everyone's time with these stupid, meaningless awards polls.:smug:

^ I wish they would but I don't count on that ... :(

The whole show was a farce anyway. Somehow I am now really glad that Coldplay didn't win anything :)

Did he actually turn up for the awards then?

In his own words, MTV were Rickrolled :)

No he didn't turn up. And they didn't show him with the award or an acceptance speach.

All I know is, that one of the presenters was joking that he would keep the award to himself, but it came across quite seriously ;)

I mean, if they let people decide who's going to win something they should have the guts to stick to it, no matter how 'funny' (in their eyes) the result is.

Britney winning 3 awards is exactly the same

Yep

But the EMA's are a joke anyway.
