"And I know I've been hunting high and low, high. There's no end to the lenght I'd go to high and low, high..." definitely wonderful!!!!

At 03:45 in "A Warning Sign" when he sings: "And I'm tired I should not have let you go" & at 03:30 in "We Never Change" when he sings: "We never change do we?".......WOW :wacky: :wacky: :wacky: !!!!!!

I've seen U2 live when Bono was far croakier and it was still incredible! Give the poor love a break, he's not a machine!

Oh, that was my fave part:

"Love, lift me out of these blues

Won't you tell me something true

HELP ME!!! I've got a frog in my throat!!!!"

Loved it ;)

I love Amsterdam when he gets to the part where the whole band kicks in...he gets so into it and u ca just feel it..ITS AMAZING!!!!

Also many other songs but i cant remember!! :D

Definitely.

Amsterdam definitely.

The end of Politik.

A Rush of Blood to the Head

When the band kicks in to Green Eyes

"So I crawl back into your open arms"

I could be here forever. :P

Me too. I totally agree with you!

His voice gives every song something special, but if I have to mention one I think the part in "Warning Sign"; everytime he sings "I miss you!" and "and I'm tired, I should not have let you go"just makes the song so much more emotional... He sounds so much like he means it. I think that was what made me love the song. In the start I did not really pay attention to the song, but luckily I discovered it.

What about the song "Yes" ??! Vocals are deeper and amazing!

Chris has a good, warm voice, but he's not the greatest singer.

Just listen to any of the live videos of Viva La Vida or Lovers In Japan on youtube, and you see I'm right.

Dunno why though, because he COULD sing it flawlessly. Perhaps it's because he jumps and dances around a lot. Kinda leaves him out of breath most of the times.

Chris' voice has always been the deciding factor in all Coldplay songs for me. It's something intangible... some unidentifiable quality in his timbre and the way he sings, how he projects it to resound right through you like a physical blow. It's amazing. And of course, the near-torment on his face when he's performing live only strikes that much harder.

^^ Oh gosh!! I was just thinking of Life is For Living.. especially in Live 2003. Chris's voice is so flawless in it. Absolute perfection:)

I do agree with radiomad, though. Chris is really flawless when he's sitting down at the piano or stuck in front of a microphone with a guitar. I think his performances of 'Lovers In Japan', 'Strawberry Swing', among others of the newer songs, are great, but when it comes time for 'Lost!' or 'Talk' or any other song where he has no instruments to keep him stationary, he's running around the stage and losing his breath, which affects his voice.

Oh yes.... for me it is like all songs but lately I love the 2003 DVD version of AROBTTH

But the face, my God.... he lives in music

It hasn't gone to the shits though. He might not be pitch perfect throughout every single gig. But if you watch any video of him singing The Hardest Part during the European leg, it's still absolutely gorgeous!

Par Exemple:

oh my god, this video is absolutely amazing! the ' the hardest part-piano version' is one of my fave songs of the setlist at the moment.

I love his deep voice in Yes! the beginning and dizzily screaming let the windows doooooowwwn

oh and of course warning sign, but many have said that before.

"i craaaaaawl baaaaaack into your oooopen arms"

.... "i miss youuhouhou sooo.. and I'm tired... i should not have let go!"

That song is so beautiful

frostbitepanda, , so lovely videos, thanks ;)

I can't really pick which songs his voice sounds best in but I can say I adore his voice.. it's probablly the one thing I noticed most when I heard Coldplay for the first time.

It's the voice that comforts me.. makes a terrible day much better and makes a good day an excelent one.... the voice I wake up listening to and the voice that tucks me in at night...

 Great speech.

[no sarcasm intended]

Gosh when I hear Fix you and The Scientist Live I do get this physical blow in my stomach, i cant describe it, I think frostbitepanda described it prefectly;)

aaww Swallowed in the Sea, the whole song

One of my favorite songs based just on Chris' voice alone is 'Such a Rush' from The Blue Room EP, I don't even know how to describe his voice in this song (raw? maybe, idk) but the emotion in it is amazing.

Also there used to be this vid on YouTube of a performance of GPASUYF from Ovation TV where Chris' singing was perfect, but then they took it down

amsterdam, the end of politik, the scientist, swallowed in the sea, green eyes, the last lines of a warning sign, god put a smile upon your face, gravity, shiver, yes.... well I better tell you those I don't like

on the video thats posted here,of the Hardest Part in Vienna, when Chris says this is for Heidi, does he then say She's a goddess??

Thats what I thought I heard

Can't agree with you more.

No one has ever effected me so much with his beautiful voice and the emotion and feeling that he puts into everthing he does.

I just love I Bloom Blaum, Yellow just gets me everytime. I have a really beautiful version of Yellow, very slow and full of emotion. Just beautiful.

wow. that is beautiful. i love him so :)

has anyone noticed that from x and y to date chris's voice has n't been that good live? I mean when you listen to the x & y album or viva la vida you can hear Martin's beautiful vocals, but when live it seems that some of them fade away... one could think that from x & y to date chris vocals have been modified on computer on the album versions, but also live performances of songs like clocks, or the scientist, sound weird :\ However when you see performances of 2003 or 2001 Chris voice is basically the same as on the album :( Maybe Chris did not jump or run that much before

Ya he moves around alot more..i really dont think they digitally enhance hes voice on the albums...cause on the album when hes recording hes just standing there so thats why it sounds so good i bet that if he would just stand or sit in the concerts now without moving like he does he would sound so much better....in the 2002-03 era u notice that he didnt move that much and hes voice sounded amazing...now hes always jumping up and down and just going wild and thats why hes voice sounds not that good!

sometimes i feel like i wanna cry... when i listen green eyes, or gravity, or amsterdam, or a bit the scientist, or we never change...:D

I have a theory that Coldplay's songs are some of the most sensitive modern songs around, and these are in turn reflected by its fanbase who generally are very thoughtful and deep people.

Didn't Chris Martin himself say something to that effect once?
