Alright, so my friends and I have always wondered what guys in other countries think of American girls. Like I know for a fact that American girls love those British boys cause of the accents, and those lovely italians cause of the muscles and also the accents.

do we have some sort of appeal?

Well, honestly, i think european guys like american girls cuz here we have the idea that the typical american girl is a blond, fit, popular cheerleader, that says yes to everything :P not saying i have that opinion though

I'm not a guy so there... I haven't met many American people. The two I've met were nice. The only thing that I found a little bit annoying was that they were always very friendly in a superficial way... might just be those two people though.

If they're anything like Paris or Bratney, definitely not!!:P

I think it's like in every country.. with "normal" people and the kind of girls of the TV series (which I think it might represent just a few part of all the American girls)

I disovered that accents disappear today to! :cry:

There is a boy who moved here from liverpool last year...he had the full on accent, then today I heard him talk.....and it was gone!! He talked like...well....like an AMERICAN!! :sad:

That's weird. A friend of mine lived in London for more than 10 years and she didn't lose her accent at all.

You can usually tell though. If it was that easy I'd probably speak decent English by now. I think my accent must be really weird. My workmate recently asked me if I was from Yorkshire.:confused: (No offence to anyone from there but I don't sound Yorkshire at all.)

French - Lazy and thin, elitist.

 

British - Bad teeth, obsessed with class, but slightly above average intelligence.

 

Anyway, that was just for fun ;)

 

But I have read accounts saying many American men travel to Europe to meet girls there and get married, since European women seem to be thinner and more interested in keeping traditional social roles.

 

It might also just be a case of "the grass is greener" on the other side.
