(I don't really want to start a thread this early... I was planning to do this on my 1000th post -Nick's awesome idea-, but then again I couldn't help sharing with you this amazing experience I feel whenever...)

I woke up at around 12:20 in the afternoon this Saturday and since I think I'll be having a bad day (I'm supposed to wake up at 9:00 and shoot my cousin for her birthday party invitation), I played Coldplay Live at the BBC and the moment I heard it (Life in Technicolour), my heart just melted and I cried. Yes. I cried. Sobs and all. I got sad with the thought that there is a big possibility that I MAY NEVER WATCH COLDPLAY LIVE IN MY LIFETIME. :shocked2:

I know what you're thinking. I'm nuts.

Well, see... I haven't seen Coldplay live because first, they haven't been to our country yet (and if they did which I heard rumors of I'm guessing back in 2005 for X&Y... it wasn't as advertised) and I'm financially-deprived to go out of the country to see them (my parents have better reason to spend our money rather than for personal reasons).

So everytime I see Coldplay Live (I have a copy of Live at BBC and How we see the World) or their fan-recorded youtube videos, my heart just melts and I cry and get excited and feel tingles and everything.

Coldplay is one of my major reason why I strive hard with studies and hopefully come to England to see them. But I still keep my hopes up that our country may be part of the VLV tour, that is why after my 21st birthday, I started saving up extra money just for the concert (fingers crossed).

So guys, you should be grateful that you have the opportunity to see the most amazing band play live. I hope they continue to inspire you (as much as they do to me) to "live in a beautiful world", amidst all the "trouble"... yadida yadida... Now I'm just blabbing. :D

I love Coldplay. WE LOVE COLDPLAY. :smug:

(Don't worry Nick I'm still going to start a thread for my 1000th post *if i get to a thousand*. Its an interesting story by the way. And of course, its about Coldplay. :P)

Aww you'll see them someday, i'm pretty sure about it if not , i'll kidnap them and send them to you and they'll play you a private gig :D

i will lure coldplay with my sexy-ness to whatever destination you want! :D

i haven't either !

well , i feel pity for myself everytime i watch their dvds , :\

wow. the level on which i relate to you on is amazing. there are just those moments sometimes where i completely burst into tears. it especially happens when i watch videos of lovers in japan live and i see the paper butterfly confetti pouring down. I've been trying so hard to see them for the longest time, and i've been so incredibly close way too many times. I feel like i just keep missing them by the hairs over and over again, and it only makes me try harder. Then again, I feel like when the day comes that i do finally get to see them, I'll enjoy it more than i ever would have if i hadn't put all my passion and effort into it. :) no worries, we'll get there someday.

You will see them one day. Maybe not on the VLV Tour, but you will.

I remember thinking the same thing when they didnt announce a Vancouver date. But I worked 16 hours in one day, sat in line to get into the Pemberton Festival for 3 hours. Then pushed my way as close as i could. And I saw them and it was amazing.

Stay determined and you will see them one day!

YOU GUYS ARE JUST AMAZING.

Thank you for all the efforts of keeping my hopes up. This is the reason why I keep coming back here, like I told Ren, we are like one BIG GLOBAL FAMILY. :)

I really hope they'd visit our country and play so that I'd be able to see them. Or if not, I hope after 3-4 years or so, I'd come to England finally to pursue my dreams and watch Coldplay live. I know in my heart it will be an amazing experience to see them play.

Thanks guys. One big bear hug to all of you. :smug:

Come down and visit me to see them :wacky:

hahaha you're crazy emma! :P

*hugs*

Oh God!! I can relate u know!! The very first video I watch was Square One... I really cried that day, some people think I make a huge deal when it comes to them, but when you've been changed for good 'cause of them (which is my case) everything related to them becomes a HUGE deal... I regret so much that since I live in a country where reggaeton is 'the best music ever' I didn't get to know anything about them in time for me to go to Mexico last year... I blame myself so hard 'cause of that, now I'm saving and waiting for them to come to latin america, I just hope that by that time I'll have enough money to go to their concert... But I have no doubt one day we're gonna get to see them LIVE!! I promise!!

Oh, you missed a lot of Coldplay cos that's from the 3rd album already! But, you have a greater chance of seeing them play live. Anyway, best of luck with the both of us! I hope we'll be able to save enough money to see them live. ;)

Yep I know I missed a lot... about 8 years  but I'm catching up really fast thanks to youtube and some other pages!!! We'll see them live someday somehow!!:D:D

i can definitely understand you but if your wish to see them is so strong you should be able to arrange for it to happen.

they're probably coming back to europe on the vlv tour, if not cz (prague is likely isnt it?), then for example berlin would be closest to you.

if you get a ticket at the regular price you just have to get there, stay one night at a youth hostel and go back the next day. we're talking about 200 or 250 euros.

save some money, have a blast and you'll realize it will have been worth the money and hassle.

good luck!

edit: i just noticed they've already played prague. why didnt you go there? or are you not even from the czech republic? i was just infering cause of the czech flag under your name...

Lovely thread, lovely story!

I was there that day, and shed a tear myself when they started up LiT I must say. Luckily I'd parked myself at the back of the crowd away from the cameras so the only time I was seen on screen was the back of my head hehe..

I went wild as usual though during Lovers in Japan, hidden in the confetti clouds :)

YOU WERE THERE IN THE BBC '08 PERFORMANCE???

WoW!!!! That must be an overwhelming experience! It was a lovely performance, well planned and all. Wow wow woOoOOoow!!! You are so lucky!

I was talking to you.

Sorry my bad, I mistook the Philippine flag for the Czech flag...they're almost the same :)

So, that being the case, it might just be slightly more difficult and pricey for you to get to a Coldplay gig.

Anyways, good luck!

Yes, I was there and at Brixton by a miracle, and my friend keep hoping and working to keep your dream alive and your miracle of seeing the band will one day come true, I'm certain :)

Yeah, that is why I've been saving up... I might try to go to Singapore for their Asian Tour (if ever) if I have enough money...

Thank you again and no worries about the mistake with the flags. :D
