~~~ IF YOU LIKE COLDPLAY MUSIC THEN...~~~
Featured Replies
Do you listen to some great artist no one knows about? Share it here. There are so many good musicians in the world it's spooky. And every one a different reflection of the same light.
My share, If any of you out there are into any music of the ages you might want to tune in a New York (60's artists) named Laura Nero who had Dusty Springfield kind of feel about her music, but all original. She wrote, sang and played piano like a heart breaker can.
Another group I just love but they died young was The New Radicals, led by Gregg Alexander (another great talent). If you like Coldplay, you will probably like these two, maybe!
STAY AWAY FROM THE MAINSTREAM LIGHT!
A Fine Frenzy
Thoughtless Jolly
Gregory And The Hawk
William Fitzsimmons
Joshua Radin
Carey Brothers
Bright Eyes
Lisa Mitchell
go go go go go!
I'll move this to the world of music section :)
Damien Rice and Sufjan Stevens, both are great and are similar to Coldplay acoustically. I've always thought if Coldplay became an acoustic act, theyd sound similar to Damien Rice
Manic Street Preachers, sound very much as Coldplay would if they were to rock harder than they do - If you tolerate this, then your children will be next in particular.
And of course, R.E.M, U2, Travis, Snow Patrol, Keane, Starsailor... ectra.
Eskimo Joe. Their last album was pretty good "Black FIngernails, Red Wine". They're an aussie band.
Joshua Radin and The Spill Canvas!
Lisa Mitchell
Is that the Australian Lisa Mitchell? If so, she was on Aus Idol last year and did a rendition of CP's See You Soon. Totally had me cringing at the time though she is alright when she is doing her own thing and yes, nothing Coldplay lol.
What ever happen to them? They were all the hype a while ago and now every station besides Tripe J play the Veronicas. I do enjoy EJ though, pretty good band.
