Leftrightleftrightleft?

Featured Replies

I remember seeing this song name last year on the timeline, and I still want to see what they were thinking of doing.

It has disappeared off the face of the earth. Never to be seen again. Either that or they forgot how to spell the song title so they saif, "Stuff it, we'll just put another 'now my feet won't touch the ground' lyric out there." I think that how it went...

I find it hard to believe it has no relevance to Prospekt's MARCH.

Leftrightleftrightleft = Prospekt's March

Leftrightleftrightleft = Prospekt's March

i find that hard to believe, since there is no mention of "left right left right" in the entire song.

Prospekt's MARCH, it's gotta be they've never mentioned leftrightleftrightleft again after that early tracklist.

I thought I remember a brief review that mentioned the beginning of 'Leftrightleftright' started with someone (Chris?) counting a march...?

'Prospekt's March' certainly has none of that.

And, we're not to forget that another LP is expected to be released late next year; so there's still time for it to (re)appear... :D

yeah I think it might appear for next year LP also..

no evidence at all that it's Prospekt's March.

we made the same supposition with NMFWTTG and look how stunned we all were when we found out it actually has zilch to do with Strawberry Swing!

The Goldrush's lyrics also mention both Prospekt and marching, yet it's nothing to do with Prospekt's March. I still believe Leftrightleftrightleft is it's own song.

Whether it gets released or not is another story altogether...it has indeed completely dropped off the face of the earth, not even present on the big song list in the tripleM interview mentioned here... :stunned:

Was a bogus review.

And, to be clear, Prospekt's March (the song) was not called just that before this release...it was slated to be called Poppyfields ONLY, the PM bit was added by the boys later on.

Are you sure? :confused:

I only ask because 'Poppyfields' is a stand-alone instrumental beginning at 2.54 on the 'Prospekt's March/ Poppyfields' track -- a track containing two seperate songs, much like 'Lovers In Japan/ Reign Of Love' or 'Yes/ Chinese Sleep Chant'...

In my opinion? 'Leftrightleftright' is still to be released -- most probably on the LP next year.

Knotty; Whoops. My bad then... :)

Yeah it was found later on to be just some random nonsense that a user had made up.

Although, I do agree with you in terms of it being a new song. The guys seem to be into this whole naming songs after lyrics from other tracks idea.

LOL thats because Strawberry Swing was already released. Why would they release a different version under a different name? They didn't do that for Lost or Lovers In Japan.

Look, there's only 3 track names from the early tracklist that we haven't heard from yet. The Goldrush is supposed to be played during the UK tour in December, Lukas is supposedly the original version of Lhuna before they got Kylie Minogue on it. Leftrightleftrightleft has to do with marching, therefore it must be Prospekt's March.

err, no, you've misunderstood. we only found out NMFWTTG has nothing to do with SS when it was announced as part of the EP's tracklist. Before that, everyone assumed it was just an early title for Strawberry Swing, exactly like people are now assuming Leftrightleftrightleft = Prospekt's March while the former title remains unreleased.

Where did you get this from?

but Prospekt's March lyrically doesn't exactly have much to do with marching either does it? lulz.

And The Goldrush does, yet that's not Prospekt's March!

This is all rather tenuous

That wasn't after Strawberry Swing came out? I didn't know that. Anyways I'm just saying that it's a little odd that it's the only original track name that disappeared off the face of the earth, and later track names included Prospekt's March. It's very possible they just renamed it.

The Lukas/Lhuna thing someone posted about it awhile back, I was on here with a different username like 2 months ago and Im trying to find the topic but no luck so far.

well according to this picture of an early tracklisting, from one of Prospekt's posts.... 'Leftrightleftrightleft' and 'Prospekt's March' are two different songs mentioned at the same time.

Where'd you get that from, there's only been one early tracklisting and that had titles blocked out. (They were Viva La Vida, The Goldrush, Lukas, and Postcards).

Maybe it'll come out on the album in 2009?

I hope so!

We've got a few new songs like Dubliners, Famous Old Painters, Leftrightleftrightleft and Lukas that wil either be on another EP or LP5. Hurrah! :) (I hope)
