Bucket For a Crown

Featured Replies

Does anyone remember this song? It was written (well atleast part of it that we have heard) right after they went off tour for X & Y. It was obviously never finished (or maybe it was?). I would love to hear a finished version of this song, although I doubt it will happen :-s

only a rough recording exists and is available in the multimedia section if you search for it :)

A true gem, sad we may never hear it finished.

Yeh I thought it was a beautiful song even though he wrote it the night before, very sad that it won't ever be properly recorded.

I remember the song now it is mentioned again, otherwise its easy to forget it. I reckon it could actually be properly recorded and released in the future because if you look at Radiohead for example Nude was originally written in 1997 but wasn't released until 2007 when it featured on In Rainbows. Also The National Anthem and Motion Picture Soundtrack were written before Creep and weren't released until Kid A, so there still is a possibility that Bucket For a Crown could feature in a future album or as a b-side.

people have been crying for moses and ladder to the sun for ages. It's not gonna happen. They generally burn their bridges before each album and I reckon Chris forgot about it the same day he played it. It didn't strike me as particularly good to be honest. Harmless and A Ghost are much better IMO, but there's no reason to rerecord those songs when we've pretty much heard all there is to hear.

I can hear alot of 42 in it, Development is a good thing, even though the piano is a lot better.
