So has anyone heard of anybody who queued at a different entrance to their "gate allocation" and got in??

Haven't heard about that.. I think no one tried; simply because if you don't get it, you will have to move to the right gate and you'll lose your potentially good spot!

I wouldn't try myself!

Edit; Welcome back Jen! Glad dinner was good. :nice:

girlsaloudmedia: RT @maggiephilbin Wondering y Girls Aloud made their backing singers wear huge clown trousers. Maybe to make themselves look even skinnier

benpeers: Bye bye Girls Aloud. Hopefully Jay-Z will be less...piercing

Welcome back Jen, glad dinner was yumme :wacky:

Hahaha, lol@ how many times the vivacrew tweet about GA was RT'ed

Thats really bad organizing. :D All the gates should open in the same time... And you get there at 7am and you dont end up in front row...

I can't remember the last event in England which was organised in a fair and logical way, in fact I don't think I've ever been to one :( Manchester wasn't TOO bad, but one queue (our one luckily) got in first for no apparent reason, and then there was the usual fiasco of LRLRL not being handed out...

It isn't just England. The same happened at the Duesseldorf show.;)

Same happened in Munich too ... it wasn't THAT bad though

not so much which gate was opened first but how it was organised. Angie had spoken to the security at the queue for gates H&J. before the doors opened, they told her the people at the front of that queue were to be sent to the turnstiles at gate H, those further back in the queue would go to gate J (which is where the front of the queue was! grrr). also, gate H was further away from the stage than gate J.

so I don't know what actually happened, but that doesn't sound good.

Ian was at the queue for M&N and it sounded like carnage there. people were standing up & running when the se3curity were telling them not too, and then getting to the search turnstiles, and chucking banned bottles everywhere so they could get through & run for stage.

sounds like a complete nightmare to be honest.

think it wasn't handed out at the beginning. a work colleague was towards the end coming of of LCCC and he got a stack of LRLRLRLRLRLRLRLRL

Same in Norway last year, but it was that bad either.

Given that, I'm actually glad I'm not there.. Must have been hell! Plus you've been there all day long and you see people, who've been there for maybe an hour, end up closer to the stage than you do. That's the most frustrating thing ever!

Guess it happens in every show. One of the boxes of LRLRL was stolen in Udine and the guy that was in front of me nearly slapped the girl who was giving LRLRL away.

Hate when this happens. Ive got to go... Will be back later. I hope not too late.

I'm starting to wish I'd accepted the VIP tickets I was offered with free bar, waitress service, Indian head massage etc. Just a shame those tix were behind the goal at the other end of the stadium :(

^ :O!

But I understand you though, people arent going for massages and free bar, we're going for the music!!

Bye Antonia, see you later :nice:!

if you go for unreserved seats, its sounds fine. spoke to ian about 4:20pm and there was no longer anyone coming in and loads of decent seats near the stage free. only big queue then was 20+ mins for the cash machines

That's right I think Jen - I didn't see a single person handing out cds at the end, but then I saw some people leaving with whole handfuls. I guess as long as the staff get rid of the allocation they've done their job :( They really should hand you one CD as you get your ticket scanned - it's rather pointless Chris talking about the free CD during the gig when 90% of the people I saw leave Manchester didn't have one in their hands.

I'll try and remember it. :nice: What time is it on?

only minor concern I have is the difference between fri when peeps are still at work & sat

OK, another question. Was anybody's ticket checked prior to going through the turnstiles??

Confettiii :D

coldplayingHQhttp://twitpic.com/i6xzx - Confetti cannons near the back of the stadium! This whole place is going to be COVERED!
