January 21, 200917 yr Yes, I think that they will sit in the sofa because they stay in germany more than just a few hours..additionally the most music acts on "Wetten dass???" don´t just sing a song and leave...so I`m very sure that they sit on the sofa a few minutes...;) Who says that they will be in Germany for more than just this performance? Do you know other promo activities where they will take part or what makes you come to this conclusion?! :confused:
January 21, 200917 yr @ mr.rogo Coldplay have been on TV Total last year as well and Chris and Jonny came to talk to Stefan Raab after their performence of Violet Hill and at least Chris wasn't shy and I think Jonny wasn't too shy. ;) They did some jokes and were nice, though Stefan Raab isn't such a good host - in my opinion. And I think they'll understand at least half of the conversations, because there are dolmetchers and Thomas Gottschalk speaks English and Chris learnt German, even if he says his German is bad. I don't think they'll have anything to do with the 'city bet', isn't it just a bet between the city and Thomas Gottschlak? yes thats true...on tv total they seem to be very cool and that after their really bad perfomance of violet hill...but i think wetten dass is different because gottschalk is strange, worse than Sfefan Raab and the whole show is different. additionally chris becomes shy when he feels uncomfortable. and stefan raab meets his guests before every show to speak with them...let`s see... to miss...: I read that they had booked a hotel in germany...

I have no clue where I will go on Friday now. My first plan was to go to Offenburg anyway, so I guess I'm back to this. Gah, all this is ill-fated :( I think I will make lots of glogg (mulled claret... what's the damn word for it?) for me, so that I don't bore me to death and start becoming depressed *lol* And it will keep me warm too :laugh3: Btw. does anyone know, once they landed, if it possible to find out on which airport they are? January 22, 200917 yr Germany is an important country for the music business, Mimixxx. ;) But sometimes we're a bit slow and if we once fell in love with a song like Viva La Vida, we listen to it for years. What ever, in my opinion, they're not going to play VLV, I think they do LiT ii, just because the video takes its premiere here tomorrow. Aaand: As you can read some posts before, Wetten, dass ... ? is one of the most popular shows in Europe.

No, it will definitely be a live performance as the show has always been live. :) I think you mixed it up with "TV Total" where they performed "Violet Hill" last year? That was indeed pre-recorded. ;) The article which I posted a few pages earlier said that most of the bands/artists/actors have rehearsals on Friday so perhaps the band will stay in a hotel somewhere around Offenburg then. Btw, I think this Saturday ZDF television will lose lots of viewers, because some of them will probably watch the new season of "Pop Idol" and the final of the jungle camp show instead which will be aired on the other channel simultaneously. :dozey:

As I said, I hope I'm wrong ;) I really can see your point :) But this show has always really high quality guests and show acts. Hopefully it doesn't sound too arrogant but many artists and celebs are really keen to take part at it, 'cause it means that you've got a name when you get picked to perform or show up there ... ;) And since the show is live (and usually the host is overdrawing the whole programe by 30 - 45 minutes :laugh3: ) it wouldn't make even less sense to pre-record Coldplay's performance. They are either there in 'real life' or won't perform at all .... :\

January 22, 200917 yr Sorry..but first post there. On that Show you never ever had pre-recorded performances. The host even gets guest kicked off the show if they don't show up to rehearsals (nearly happend to Robbie Williams in 2005). So, yes, think they will be live however think they will be back in the UK as they will perform rather early on in the show and still can get their private plan. Petra
January 23, 200917 yr Good evening ladies and gentlemens! I´ve checked this evening (7pm) the apron of the Airport at Lahr and there are standing two airplanes. But nowhere the CRJ200 of Coldplay. There is one with propeller-engines and on biz-jet with an american registration - I think Tom Cruise or other guys but it can also be that the american airplane is the new one of "Hans Grohe" or "Herrenknecht" because this two managers of very big firms has owned new jets to Lahr and I don´t know yet, what airplanes and with what color and registration. COLDPLAY ARE NOT LANDED AT LAHR AIRPORT I will try my best to take a phone to Offenburg-Airport and will try my best to find out if there is landet an CRJ200 :cool: And then,..it needs 20min. and I´m there with my 'Sony Alpha 200' :D Okay, sorry for this bad news but I´ve also expected to see the VIVA-Jet with my own eyes at Lahr :) Good night everyone!
January 23, 200917 yr No luck today, it's like in a high-security wing there. When I arrived though, I just walked pass the barrier... a security guard called after me and was asking where I would be heading to. I just replied to "Wetten Dass?!" *lol* Wonder why he let me in. I really don't look like someone who is working there. Well, the security woman and the door meant then, I'd be at the wrong door, "Go to the other." Of course there was again security and then they noticed I don't work there. Damn. He took his walkie: "A fan". And I got removed. I waaaaaited. Then once again I sorta sneaked inside a bit again. When it rained I walked pass the barrier and stood inside a hall where people where working. This guy talked a bit to me. I said bring me in... he actually wanted to, but then his boss meant... no. Guh. Btw. I really pissed of this security woman, the other one was pretty ok. Later I waited a bit in front of the hotel, it's just next to the hall. No luck, and I was in a bad mood already anyway, so I went home :( I hate Offenburg for acting as if we fans were some sort of terrorists and Barack Obama would be inside the hall. Really. Basel had been so much cooler, when I had been there once. They were friendly and let us fans get autographs. The barrier was just in front of the door and not so far away.
