I hate the fact that Bush says that gay marriages should be against the law and how he respects gay people but won't give the opportunity to let them get married legally. How fucked is that?! This is just one of the many reasons why I don't like him. I mean, some countries legalized it. Why can't the land of the free do the same? Right now he's making all the government laywers to legally define marriage is a union between a MAN and a WOMAN. I think that if Clinton was still president, gay marriages would be legal. I love Clinton. I didn't care that he got a blow job from some 21 year old intern. He was the best president. Not that much shit happened when he was president.

i agree with him because Marriage is something only between a man and a woman. i dont have any prob with gay people though. but i do think Bush should be impeached.

He just annoyed me immensely when he said, "we're all sinners and I caution those who may try to take a speck out of the neighbor's eye when they got a log in their own... I think it is important for our society to respect each individual, to welcome those with good hearts."

I was pretty outraged when i heard Bush go against gay marriages. It just goes to show you how ignorant people really are. People feel that if they allow gay marriages it goes against all "morality" and is a great "sin". The same people who say those things go to strip clubs and shit. Where's the moality and how big is the sin in that?? Well not just gay marriages but gay people many not be accepted into society now, but i'm sure that in the near future they'll get treated as human adults.

america always seems to be the last to embrace everything. (just from what i gather from history) give it time, given the right president gay marriages will be allowed.

bush may be against gay marriage, but the truth is, even if we get a democrat in office (and you have no idea how much i'd love that, even if it were lieberman or gephardt), we're still many many years away from gay marriage in the united states. that issue is a bomb with a lit fuse, no democratic candidate is going to touch it with a ten foot pole, because almost half the people in the u.s. are still against it. (except for candidates who have no real chance of being elected, kucinich, sharpton, etc)
