This isn't a religion-debate thread. If you don't believe in prayer, don't pray. I personally don't fully necessarily believe in it all, but I still encourage those who do to pray for him. The point isn't the religion behind this. The point is to try to help people who need it before it's too late. And to not take good things in life for granted.

Aw i know what you're feeling, 2 years ago a boy from my school died on the beach and everyone at the school made 1 minute of silence at the same time for him.

My best friend tried to do this last year but he didn't succeed, instead he got rushed to the hospital by some of our friends. I remember it being absolutely awful... I can only imagine what this guy's parents are feeling :\

 

You really COULD save a life by being nicer to people.. even if you don't know them... there are always those who are much more sensitive.

While we're still talking about tragedies, One of my good friends was at church this summer when a man came in with a shotgun and killed two people. I was at work at the time, and when I was told it took me awhile to grip the reality of what he had gone through. He's recovered remarkably well, but was in the dumps for several weeks afterwards...

Even though he wasn't my friend, I know many people who have been devastated by this. The whole idea behind what he did has hit very close to home for me, and for a many others. I am finding it hard to forget about what happened, and he keeps coming into my thoughts. I never knew that a person you didn't know could have such an effect on you. I keep thinking about how terrible this must be for his family. I can't imagine what they are going through. The thought that I am this upset by what happened makes their pain unimaginable. I wish there was some way I could help ease that pain, take some of the burden, but I know in my heart this is something they have to get through together. I just feel so awful about all this and I really don't know what to do with myself today (snow day, no school.) I feel like all the songs I listen to are sad, and all my thoughts keep going back to what happened. It will not be an easy weekend, but I feel especially bad for his friends and family.

 

Please, tell your family you love them today.

ahh!, this is awful :(, while we were having a really fun day today, last day of term, christmas lunch, watching films, fun, and little did we know you were having an awful day, sorry man! :(
