January 1, 200917 yr Today I found out that my cousin is being deployed to Afghanistan. =/ Happy fucking New Year. His wife is pregnant, and she's being sent there after their baby turns six months old. Yay for being in the military!

January 1, 200917 yr what's wrong with your country... sending a couple to the another side of the world and leave a little baby alone?
January 1, 200917 yr Yeah, I understand they knew what would probably happen when they signed up. They're actually not too upset about being deployed. They weren't actually married when they signed up, so they didn't know they'd have a kid. I'm just wondering if they were trying to have a kid, and if they were, why they'd do that since they could be shipped at anytime. That doesn't mean I can't complain, though.
January 1, 200917 yr No. It doesn't. I can complain about anything whether I've got a good enough reason or not.
January 1, 200917 yr Oh I thought we assumed that "and still have your opinion respected" was a part of it fair enough then
January 1, 200917 yr what's wrong with your country... sending a couple to the another side of the world and leave a little baby alone? Well, if the American army is like the British army, the bloke should come home 2 weeks before his wife deploys as both parents can't be deployed at the same time
January 1, 200917 yr P.S. If the storm gets me and the power goes out, see you all eventually... Happy New Year indeed. Why can't we be more sensible like the Australians and have it in summer?
January 1, 200917 yr I wish I could sleep away this thing that makes people change themselves. Makes people selfish. Makes people worse than they are. I've never cared for this. I don't understand how a new year could make life different or better. How is this a clean slate? When I go back to school, I'll have to deal with everything I left behind at the beginning of the break. People will always make themselves more miserable than they have to be by having such high hopes for anything more than what they've been dealing with their entire lives, no matter the year.
January 1, 200917 yr Happy New Year! I now have returned all my expressions back to what they were when I first posted here!!:D:D
January 1, 200917 yr yay. well...what will we do now? Go back to exactly what we were doing. Counting down to next year...
January 1, 200917 yr This time next year...I'll be dreading the year after... I'll be a junior, remembering what I'm doing now, probably listening to "All My Friends" (thanks to Ray), eating a container of ice cream, and crying. rofl.
January 1, 200917 yr i miss 2008. I don't. Even though from mid-June on it was great, the first half was so utterly horrid and scarring, I don't think I'll ever get over some of those things... good riddance 2008
January 1, 200917 yr Author P.S. If the storm gets me and the power goes out, see you all eventually... Happy New Year indeed. Why can't we be more sensible like the Australians and have it in summer? Aussies are just plain sensible aren't they. Its also the end of our school year in the summer break so it makes more sense anyway.
