Why?

Well because there are a lot of people on here who have probably never been to New Zealand and I thought that they would like to see some of it in case they come over anytime.

It's full of giant spiders and Gollums and orcs. No thanks.

Seriously though, thanks for the pictures ;)

We do have a native spider which is known as the katipo. We also have a native cricket which is known as the weta.

I can't watch the first video, "not available in your country", but the second one is beautiful.

Thank you! I would love to go to New Zealand one day.

I haven't watched any of the vids/pictures but i'd really like to go to New Zealand in the future :nice: Maybe even to work there, anything goes.

Yes New Zealand is a beautiful country and I'm proud that I live here.

Thanks for the pictures! :D

Do you know Auckland very well? Can you tell me a few things like where is the best place to get a nice and cheap flat or how's weather there usually between January and August? Is it easy to rent or buy a car in New Zealand? :)

I'm not to familiar with Auckland sorry as I don't live there, but I think you'll find a flat at some stage. I have been to Auckland a few times and one day I plan to move up there. The weather is quite good at times and yes it is easy to get cars here.

Thanks for the pictures! :D

Yup easy to buy/rent a car...you could buy a reasonably good car for around $1500 NZD..heaps of japanese imports around here.

Auckland has got some neat attractions such as Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World, Rainbow's End theme park, the zoo the museum,, Sky City Casino, Sky Tower and the Harbour Bridge. There used to be the Footrot Flats theme park but it closed down.

Auckland City has some neat shopping areas especially Queen Street.

Auckland's activities include bungy jumping from the top of the Sky Tower, the Sky Walk round the top of the outside of the Sky Tower and the Harbour Bridge climb. Also there are ferry trips to and from Rangitoto Island and Waiheke Island.

Yeah, I think about going to Auckland next year (for 6 months though). :) I heard that flats are very expensive in New Zealand so I hope the university will offer a cheap accommodation.

I'd also like to rent or buy a car to discover both islands. It would be absolutely incredible. Your country is so beautiful. :D

Thanks for the advices. Well recently I've watched a nice documentation about NZ on TV and they visited some places you mentioned above. I didn't know about the ferry trips though. Would you recommend trips to Rangitoto and Waiheke islands?

I have been to Rangitoto Island, but not yet to Waiheke Island. I want to visit Waiheke Island one day. But yes I would recommend them.

I have decided that the next time I stay overnight in Auckland, I will go up the Sky Tower at night as it will be cool to look down on the city lights.

Now I know why I couldn't get the pics to show up on the previous page. It was because I was clicking on the link button instead of the image button before posting them. I've just reposted them and they show up now.

Thanks for the links and your efforts.

The "city circus" bus is for free??? How is that possible? That's amazing! :D The ferry to Waiheke Island isn't expensive either. What about living costs in general? Do you think energy, food and entertainment is expensive in New Zealand?

If ever I win a lot of money I will visit new zealand as it looks like a lovely place.

It sure is beautiful here.

Hi everyone.

I'm very sorry, but I've removed the links and pics I recently posted in here and in the Cute Dogz topic because there is a new copyright law probably coming into effect in New Zealand at the end of February. If that law comes in and people put copyrighted stuff on their sites and there be complaints about it, they could lose either their sites or their internet.

Hey everyone.

I recently removed the pics in here because of the upcoming copyright law in New Zealand, but I can put them back as the law is delayed till March 29 and if there isn't an agreement, then it will be dropped.
