February 9, 200917 yr didn't your momma tell you not to eat paint chips? :P She's the one who fed them to me:stunned: Forgot to mention that was my personal opinion. I know viva la vida is a good album but its not great.I still prefer parachutes or rush of blood maybe because those albums were less produced and with a raw sound( especially parachutes). I think coldplay are yet to release their "ok computer" if you know what i mean. Yeah, I know what you mean. Their OK Computer or their Joshua Tree, I am hoping LP5 will bring that new level of success and musical nirvana (no pun intended).
February 9, 200917 yr I havn't heard In Rainbows and I am not really a fan of Radiohead either and I love Viva La Vida and love Coldplay, naturally I would want Viva La Vida to win. Viva La Vida is actually the best album I have EVER heard and that is not because I am a Coldplay freak. If I didn't like it, I would say I didn't like it even if I love Coldplay, I admit that Prospekt's March was a bit of a dissapointment, it had some good songs but nothing which blew me away like Viva La Vida (well maybe 'Prospekt's March' the song)
February 9, 200917 yr It does in this case!!:dozey: I suppose we should be grateful it didn't go to Miley Cyrus. To see Radiohead nominated in the same award show as Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers made me feel quite nauseous.

You should give other albums a try like Joshua tree by U2,ok computer by radiohead, ágætis byrjun by sigur Rós or the man who by travis. I'm pretty sure you might like them.
February 9, 200917 yr To see Radiohead nominated in the same award show as Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers made me feel quite nauseous. Same here :disappointed: I think i watched the whole show just to see radioheads performance and i really hoped they'd win album of the year but oh well haha.

I'm pretty sure you might like them. I have heard alot of albums but I actually havn't heard any of those , Well Viva La Vida is kind of my joint fave album with 'Betamale Fairytales' by Ben's Brother, I am not very fond for U2 either and Sigur ros, well not being able to type their name into google or itunes puts me off!
February 9, 200917 yr It does in this case!!:dozey: I suppose we should be grateful it didn't go to Miley Cyrus. to treat personal opinion as fact is childish. it creates unneeded conflict. if you cool your jets and realize other people think differently, the world is a much nicer place. that said, i'm sad coldplay or radiohead didn't win, but i'm glad a REAL ARTIST with talent (in my definition of talent) won, not lil wayne.
February 9, 200917 yr I cannot express in words the feeling I felt when those 2 people Robert Plant and whatshername won best album at the Grammys. I almost threw the TV off the deck. Listening to them perform was torture enough (muted it after 30 seconds). Don't even know who they are...I was sure Coldplay was going to win it. But on the bright side, they won other awards, we got to see them perform, and Blink 182 is back together again!!!!
February 9, 200917 yr I think i watched the whole show just to see radioheads performance and i really hoped they'd win album of the year but oh well haha. Same here BTW who is that in your avi?
February 9, 200917 yr I agree! Coldplay should have won. I myself was in shock. I have heard of Robert Plant before...Led Zeppelin...only because my dad listened to them, then made me listen to them on the radio and what not. But come on!! Coldplay deserved it!!!!
February 9, 200917 yr No, they didn't. Radiohead deserved it, though Coldplay deserved it more than Plant
February 9, 200917 yr Hell, Ne-Yo deserved it more than Plant. At least his music wasn't boring as shit
February 9, 200917 yr Okay. Look. I'm a huge Radiohead fan, but I hated "In Rainbows" Coldplay was going to be the surefire winner for Best Album at the Grammys... AND THEY LOST TO "RAISING SAND" ?!?!!??!?!??!?!!?! Come on people! This is an insult to music! And it's not just because I love Coldplay either...that album that won is terrible. I had to listen to the whole thing while my friend told me how great it was....ughh. I understand that people might like different music than I do...but VLVODAAHF was just pure genius. That's a cohesive, amazing album if I've ever heard one. Thank you for voicing a lot of people's opinion... besides not liking in rainbows :P. Raising Sand in my opinion it was the least deserving. When i looked at the nominations for album of the year i thought oh well... ne-yo and that group don't have a chance. I honestly thought it would of been Viva, In rainbows, or tha carter III. I would of been happy for those three, but of been estatic for viva. I'm glad they won three grammys... but i really wanted them to win album of the year. you could tell Chris was really nervous when they were about to announce the winner. And I noticed that there wasnt a lot of excitement in the room when plant and krauss won. I felt like everyone went "HUH?" ... I mean she didn't even say thank you! Oh and by the way Krauss has all ready won album of year in 2002... :shocked2: And someone said that Radiohead will never win album of year because americans can't appreciate them... TOTALLY AGREE! There are few out there and i like to think i am one of the few. I was so pissed when Krauss and plant won i just screamed at the tv. But then again The Grammy's like to give album of year to some obscure albums. Such as last year everybody thought Back to Black was going win, but some redentions of Joni Mitchell's songs won... Thats my 2 cents!
February 9, 200917 yr I haven't really listened his album so i can't agree or disagree but you might be right . But i think i would've been really pissed if coldplay had won over radiohead. Again, this is just my personal opinion. I cant lie, i think "In Rainbows" was the worst album radiohead had ever made.. I belive that coldplay should have wont, but I thought that Lil Wayne wouldve..
February 9, 200917 yr I cant lie, i think "In Rainbows" was the worst album radiohead had ever made.. I belive that coldplay should have wont, but I thought that Lil Wayne wouldve.. I think it's one of their best. Pablo Honey was their worst easily.
February 9, 200917 yr I'm shocked people hate in rainbows so much :disappointed: Oh i still see pablo honey as an album made by on a friday( former rh name back in the day) rather than by radiohead haha.
February 10, 200917 yr I'm shocked people hate in rainbows so much :disappointed: Oh i still see pablo honey as an album made by on a friday( former rh name back in the day) rather than by radiohead haha. :lol:same here In Rainbows is pure genius if you really get it

February 10, 200917 yr Coldplay will make their Ok Computer soon..i can feel it!haha.....But I wanted Coldplay to win! Joshua Tree only had like 3 good songs IMO so i have no idea how everybody says its great!....
February 10, 200917 yr I don't know why anyone is suprised that Coldplay lost Album of the Year because if you look at the past winners of the award you could tell who was going to win it. The Grammys are trying to please two sets of people...the younger generation who are into Coldplay, Lil Wayne, and others, and the older generation that is into music such as the the Krauss/Plant album, Herbie Hancock (who won it last year) and even Norah Jones (who won it a few years ago). Unfortunately, Album of the Year is going to the older generation and that is why the Grammys are so predictable. From what I've heard the Krauss/Plant album is boring and depressing. Someone desrcibed it as "music for a funeral". I know a lot of Zeppelin fans do not care for it. But, its the music that the Grammys want to reward. Until the Grammys can stop being predictable and rewarding artists who truly deserve it then one should never be surprised at the result. I'm just surprised that I was hoping for once the Grammys would show some common sense.

I wore my Viva Tour shirt today out of Coldplay pride. :) At least they did win some really great awards. :) In Rainbows > Tha Carter III > Viva la Vida > Year of the Gentleman I won't judge Raising Sand because I haven't heard it. I disagree with you that Viva la Vida was pure genius. It had its flaws. It's a very overrated album.
