I first read it in a book discussion class we had in my old home-school group. It was a lot different though because we got to pick the books (incidentally, all of them were dystopian fiction :P).

Whoever told you that is wayyy off, Marisa, it's a classic! It's one of my favorite books... I've actually been meaning to reread it

my whole school! :P

and my friend was reading it in chem today and was like "marisa, does this make any sense?!" and she read me the sentence and i was like no... and the she kept saying how she hates the book.

so if you love it, what happens in the first 48 pages?

Was she reading double-speak? :P

Well by what I remember, you get a general overview of Winston's lifestyle, his job, some of his conversation's etc. You get introduced to the conflict, the television's watching him, and the reduced rations that are supposedly the result of the war going on.

I have to leave now (not like I posted much :dozey:), Mars good luck with all that stupid homework you have to do, talk to you all tomorrow! :)

Wooo!! I am a true daughter of South Jersey!:D:P

You are a true son/daughter of South Jersey (First Place)

You growl at cars with license plates that say Pennsylvania and Quebec as much as the rest of us do. You’re part of the exclusive club that New Yorkers can only dream of. Congrats!

edit: to Tnspieler1012

bye Milica! and thanks!!!

so i'm supposed to have a 6 page paper. right now my rough draft has 5 pages and 20 lines. i haven't even used one of my sources!! this is good though, the more info, the better. but now i don't need a lot. and i have to add more to my intro. and i need a conclusion.

anywayyyyyyyyyy, how was everyone's day?

Yes! I just worked everything out with my parents regarding tickets for my May concert, so I'm still going

my presale is tomorrow too :wreck:

Be back soon, I'm going to go eat dinner :)

I just have to share this funny story of what happened in my first-grade class today.

I was calling students up to the front of the class to be the teacher and explain to their classmates how to subtract two-digit problems. I called on this young girl and she got up from her chair (which is close to the front of the room), took two steps and fell. Sometimes kids get really excited about doing something and they trip over the legs of the chairs. I asked the girl if she was ok and she said that she was. She got back up and took two more steps and she fell again. Now, by this time she was at the white board. When she tried to get up she noticed that she had tied her shoes together and that was why she fell twice. :laugh3: The girl was laughing and so was the class. It was definitely one of the best moments I've had in this classroom.

Now, I want to know why the shoelaces are so long for children's shoes? They have small feet so why have shoelaces three times as long as their feet?

Ow Marisa you must be totally stressed now ! Are you gonna buy your tickets yourself ?

Aww!

I love my art students!

Today so many of them were talking about coldplay!!!

It is crazy how much coldplay is a part of my life.

Really it is.

And so many kids keep asking me if i will give them one of my chris martin bracelets!

And i want to so bad, but i know if i give one kid a bracelet, then everybody will come running and want one.. and i don't have enough!!

I'm thinking i'll just have t buy a ton, and at the end of this internship i will give some away.

Anyway, Today was such an awesome day for me!!

It was just beautiful.
