The golden ages of this forum was in between AROBTTH and X&Y.

ahh the days when I had a different account (before I forgot my username and was forced to re-sign up) and albie was around. I miss Albie :sad:

 

I was lurking a bit around that time, and it looked exciting. It's why I finally joined.:)

 

I guess everyone will think the golden age was when they joined since it's a new group of people to get to know, and maybe they're just starting to fall in love with Coldplay. Forums ebb and flow, and we seem to be at an ebb, atm. I'm sure we're heading for another golden age soon.

Actually I think that's true. Nathan was... a character. Sort of annoying, but he usually knew what the fuck he was talking about, so.

this place has been boring since, to be fair. i don't even have the motivation to make jokes about simon anymore. it's a sad time.

maybe someone here should make an alt account and go around acting like an ass all the time like Nathan did XD

Nathan was banned because he wanted his thread filled with jokes about Jane Goody to be still in the Lounge. The moderators disagreed. There was quite an argument (most of it oddly being about whether or not the Cyanide & Happiness thread should be removed, since it was offensive also); then he was banned and the thread was moved and now there's no evidence of it. It's kind of sad cuz he was a smart guy.

 

But he did sort of act like an asshole most of the time, so there you go...

I think forum bans should be done the old-fashioned athenian way. We have a forum wide show of hands. If we have a majority, the person gets ostracized. Based on this reaction, most people (myself included) didn't want him banned and valued his brutally honest company.
