The Quest for the Stanley Cup 2009

We can do better though.

And totally about Wellwood. IT was hilarious the first penalty he got this year, he was like cracking up. And acutally he's being praised for his defensive (people are even saying his grit) around here. So lol, that makes me laugh. Quirky dude.

hawks man. you underestimate...

I was out last night so I didn't get to see any of the games.

But from the sounds of things, the Wings-Ducks game was pretty heated after that hit on Hudler.

^Yeah, that was pretty bad. Major collapse.

But I did enjoy it very much :P

Epic collapse.

And shutup. :P

I just hope Salo is back for next game.

Oh man. Markus Naslund retiring at 35?

I am a bit depressed.

Yeah, I was surprised to hear that!

This game on right now is fantastic!

Naslund

Last night game was an absolute failure.

Anaheim and Detroit series tied now...

I know right. Poor Markus. I wonder what his full reason is, it can't just be because he's declining. He's obviously either really down on himself or he's just sick of it.

I keep feeling like the city of Vancouver is to blame, but I'm probably totally wrong and I don't even know that it would effect him. I dunno, I'm just really bummed out for the guy.

I wonder if Bertuzzi will retire too? He said he was seriously considering it last summer, and he is a UFA. He's only 34.

The fans and media of Vancouver basically drove him out of town.

He was a class act and deserved better from this city. I'm really hoping they retire his number

Bertuzzi should just retire. Doesn't he have injury problems?

My dad's been watching the stanley cup like crazy, I decided to watch and it's intense! :o

They absolutely did. It was disgrace. It hurts to even think about it, how fast this city turned on the guy. He deserved much better, and I agree, they should retire his jersey. It was that group of players that brought hockey back in Vancouver. Bertuzzi always says (being a littel bit cocky maybe? who cares) that it was him and Naslund nad that whole core that made hockey big here again. And it's totally true. I hate this city and it's fans sometimes. The media moreso.

And yeah, he has a bunch of injury problems, but I think he's still a good enough player to be in the NHL, no doubt. It's just sad to see all these former Canucks having their careers dwindle down.

Canadian hockey markets are so harsh on thier own players. So much pressure and media attention.

I know. It's ridiculous. I don't care how much you get payed, that's not an excuse for people to constantly attack you. That grinds down on anybody. After Naslund signed with the Rangers, Bertuzzi did an interview talking about how emtionally and psychologically wearing all the negative media and fan attention was on Naslund.

I don't blame the guy for leaving. I don't blame him for having his production decrease.. he had no line mates. I don't understand how people can turn they guy with so little reason.

Oh, he never won us a cup. Newsflash... no one's won us a cup. EVER. We're the freaking Vancouver Canucks.

Lol I'm just happy that Boston and Detroit lost, so we're not the only team who's split. :P

Haha, same here. Hopefully they can take the lead again tomorrow!
