I know this might turn into a "oh man, that person is so cool, they own 50000 cds!"

But I'm just curious how big of a cd collection most people on here have and how long they've been buying cds.

Only physical formats count (cds, vinyl, singles, etc).

I haven't counted them all, but by having rows of cds and basing the rows off of one number, I'd say I have at at least 300 cds, singles, eps, lp, etc.... i'm probably between 310 and 330 (just a guess)

 

edit: I've probably been buying cds for the last 8 years or so... a good chunk of these cd's i got as gifts (friends, birthday's, xmas, etcetera etcetera)

I think I'm up around 200. I don't have a record player, so no vinyl here :(

nice! i only have a handful of LP's (Radiohead [all major albums+Nude Single], MGMT-Oracular Spectacular, Animal Collective-MPP)

At it's peak I had around 1000 albums, and those singles mostly have been set aside to get rid of somehow due to space issues.

Casually since Now 31 came out

Seriously for a couple years

but now I'm on a self-imposed ban of buying CDs.

Thats intense.

What's intense is that I spent easter weekend doing a 100% check against my list and copying the barcode numbers for future reference onto the list.

 

However about 100 of those CDs listed are in my pile which are currently for sale on my Amazon Seller account

Thousands... literally, and I am not counting them! But have collected since I was a kid, including all kinds of vinyls... 45's, 78's and 33's. I can say music is my life... and now that I am older, it is my therapy! :P

I only started buying hard copies of music about 6 months ago, all the coldplay albums, muse albums and radiohead albums minus HTTF and Amnesiac, I have Deadwing by PT, Steve Wilsons insurgents, Oracular Spectacular, Massive Attack collection, Joe Satriani Anth and Iron Maiden Somewere back in time:P, short but sweet collection if you ask me.

i've downloaded about 300. but i've only kept maybe 220.

So cool!You must be a crazy man in music.I only get about 150 CDs,including the album and singles.BTW,you must spend lots of money for the collection.
