crawlinwithin
Is it just me or does the new Starsailor song sound ALOT like "The Hardest Part".... the chord sequence is definitely the same, and the melody is even eerily similar too. What do you think? Bauk
Hehe, yes when you know this, you can hear it, but I doubt if I would have heard it when you hadn't said it. Now Cóldplay can go sue an artist for once :P ;) I like the song btw, haven't heard it before:)
S_D
This is Losing My Religion but played on a piano as opposed to a mandolin. Actually, now that i think of it properly, it sounds like a fusion of Losing My Religion and The Hardest Part played by Coldplay.
ivet
...hmm... I haven't heard it... (will see the video later)... COLDPLAY, GO JOE SATRIANI ON THEIR ARSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bonus_mosher
I like starsailor. Alot of people are jumping on the 'I hate starsailor' bandwagon. I am not one of those people. it does sound very similar though. Doubt it's intentional.
Corkus
Starsailor's okay. A bit repetitive, but there's way worse out there. Basically, this is just like the majority of music "similarities" out there.
RunForTheHills
I really like this song, but I didn't notice the similarity until you mentioned it. It does sound quite coldplay-ish in general, though.
tauiwi
^Same, really like the song, but i dont hear similarities to be worried about.

R_Burns
I've always liked Starsailor, and personally there is not enough there for me to find it similar to The Hardest Part.
blue_girl
I dont find either any similarity with hardest part.. actually is good song :)
djibou
It does sound a little bit like The Hardest Part, but I think it's more similar to the end part of White Shadows.
Open-Politik
I dont know how the hell you came up with that one??^
djibou
Try to sing 'I see it in the new sun rising, see it break on your horizon oh, come on love, stay with me' with the piano bit in the beginning. There maybe is one chord that's different from White Shadows, but there's still a similarity. Well, to me.
pickle
They do sound sorta alike...I've noticed some The Fray songs have the same melodies and feels as Coldplay songs, too.

Bilbo-215
Great song! I can see similarities there. On another note, Does anybody else immediately think of talk when they hear Fairwell to the fairground by White Lies? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dohJLd3IQmk]YouTube - White Lies - Farewell To The Fairground[/ame] Try and whistle the synth. Sounds exactly like the riff.
