What makes a person do well in life? Have a good career and do well with others? I was thinking of my high school friends and how they're turning out, some came from a lot of money and were intelligent but aren't doing anything with their lives but drinking, while other ones less fortunate are working hard and starting their careers.

 

I see complete idiots doing well, while intelligent people failing, and its making me wonder what makes someone successful?

I do this, but I dont feel succesful within myself. Even though for a short while I get a feeling of satisfaction when I have made a difference to someones life.

I'd consider the following things all elements when measuring success:

 

Love- I can't imagine going through life without finding love. This includes loving others, as well as being loved.

Fulfillment (Meeting life's goals, having children, getting married, etc)

General welfare- how you feel on a daily basis

Sucess makes some sucessful.
