"You can never have too much Duck Sauce"

Featured Replies

This is a philosophy originated by my father, who, whenever we get Chinese takeout, steals about two handfuls of those little packets of duck sauce from the box they're in.

Yesterday, I said, "Hey, Dad, don't you think that's a little much?" and he replied very seriously, "You can never have too much duck sauce, Sara; it all gets soaked into the rice and you never have enough."

I had the clever idea that eventually the rice would absorb so much duck sauce it couldn't take anymore, but I did not say so, because I didn't want to bother him.

Discuss this profundity.

We have a whole drawer of duck and soy sauce packets from a local chinese takeout place. We don't steal them, just collect them.

well, maybe the rice steals the duck sauce and saves it to... take over the world... but it gets eaten before it can do so... so somewhere there's a giant pool or lake of duck sauce...

Would you believe it if I told you that I've never encountered duck sauce in the Chinese restaurants around here? I've had soy sauce and sweet-and-sour sauce, but not duck sauce.

You'd be surprised. It's totally delicious. Go with safer foods first, like lo mein (which is mainly noodles with some veggies). Then work your way down the list. :)

Then work your way down the list. :)

Well, I know that it's not really the same, but it's what I know, and isn't it similar enough?

And exactly who are you calling a moron?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAQAHAHAHAHAHAHAha

(that's Korean you fucking moron)

Completely wrong (as usual), which makes you the moron (as usual).

Dog is eaten in China as well, as featured in the TV series "Paul Merton's Chinese Adventure". You really do need to check your facts before start mouthing off. What a cretin........................ :laugh3:

I could eat dog in this country, I can eat Fajitas in this country, that doesn't mean either of them are English dishes now does it?

That's because they're not, while dog is a delicacy in China, and there is even a street in Shanghai (which Paul Merton visited) where the restaurants only serve dog dishes.

Therefore you've been well and truly PWND yet again.:smug:
