When You're Wearing that One Special Sweater

Jonny liked to watch the clothes go around as they tumbled in the dryer. Up, then down. Then back up again. And then – sure as anything – down once more. Like the seasons, like the transitions from day to night to day, like all of Chris's mood swings, the cyclic aspect was what attracted Jonny the most. He could count on it.

Until the dryer was finished, of course. Hearing the machine slow to a stop and watching the clothes cease to move always saddened him a bit. He would stare through the glass for a few moments longer and mourn the cycle. Then he would stand and prepare to retrieve his clothes.

As soon as he opened the small door, a large piece of black fabric leaped towards him. He swiftly caught it before it could even come close to hitting the ground. But whatever article of clothing it was, Jonny could not seem to recognize it. At least, he couldn't recognize it as his own.

In time he realized that the unfamiliarity was due to the sweater – that's what it was, a black turtleneck sweater – not actually belonging to him. In fact, it belonged to Chris. At first he felt rather confused, because what would anything of Chris's be doing in his laundry? It would have made some sense when they still shared that tiny apartment in London, but now it just seemed very peculiar.

Although...

Now that Jonny recalled, the last time he saw Chris wearing that sweater was the last time he had seen Chris at all. Approximately four days prior, Jonny had thrown a party at his new apartment, not expecting anyone to show up – which was why when he suddenly had twenty guests and only enough food for eight, he panicked. How was he to know that the neighbors in the building were actually rather friendly and social people? The neighbors he and Chris had shared were strippers; they were friendly, but the only time the two boys had ever spent talking to them was after they broke through the ceiling in Chris's room while practicing routines. That was one hell of a night, and a fun tale to explain to the landlord.

But that experience did nothing to prepare Jonny for the rush of people in his apartment. In his stressful state, Jonny had thought of nothing better to do than to hole himself up in the kitchen with several beers at his side. Half of the bottles had already been emptied by the time Chris walked in.

“Jonny! I've been looking for you all over the place,” Chris said as he first caught sight of Jonny, but he stopped in his tracks as soon as his eyes laid over the beer bottles. “Jonny,” he hissed, “what are you doing?”

Jonny thought about Chris's query for a few moments and answered in a slurred speech. “I'm taking control.”

“Of what? Jonny, there are over a dozen people out there worrying about your welfare, because you just suddenly disappeared out of nowhere and no one could find you! And now it turns out you're in here getting drunk?”

Jonny smiled. He hadn't really meant to, but when Chris's voice went up high like that it always made him feel fuzzy, made him feel like smiling. But Chris was not amused in the least, which was clear by the lines around his mouth that always formed whenever he frowned. Jonny stopped smiling.

Chris took a few slow and deliberate steps towards Jonny. He knelt down cautiously, and Jonny's eyes followed each movement until Chris was at eye level with him. He looked angry, which made Jonny's fuzzy feeling go away, replaced instead by a sort of burning sensation.

Chris stared, and the longer he did so, the softer his expression became until finally he was looking at Jonny with pity. “Listen, I know you have a hard time dealing with people,” he softly said. “But this... I thought you'd be more responsible than this, Jonny.”

Jonny frowned now; Chris no longer looked angry, but his tone clearly conveyed that he was definitely annoyed. Jonny thought he could hear something worse than that in Chris's voice as well, something that sounded very much like disappointment. The contrast between his tone and expression was confusing, though, and Jonny couldn't tell which one was true and which was just a mask. He hoped the annoyance was the mask, really hoped it, because now Chris had his eyebrows scrunched together and a glaze over his eyes that made Jonny's heart race.

“If you needed help, you could have just asked me,” Chris whispered, and Jonny became aware of a new fuzzy feeling, the feeling of cloth against the side of his face. Then the cloth moved a bit and the flesh on someone else's fingertips was grazing the flesh on his cheeks. Chris looked less worried than before and more determined. Jonny felt his breaths become shaky as Chris's face seemed to be getting larger, or perhaps closer...

Jonny's eyes rolled down to see Chris's black turtleneck sweater loose and bunched in several places over Chris's torso. Then, a fraction of a second later, another burning sensation made its way through Jonny's throat as the alcohol he had consumed broke free from his stomach and pooled in one of the folds of Chris's sweater. He heard Chris make a disgusted sort of whimper, and then both of Chris's hands were on his shoulders and pushing him back against the cabinets on the floor.

“OK, Jonny, just stay still for a few seconds.” Jonny considered doing nothing but sitting still, as the reality of what had just happened slowly dawned on him. A few seconds later Chris's arms were on him again, trying to pull him up. As Jonny stood on his feet he noticed that Chris had stripped off the sweater and was now donning only a very tight t-shirt, which did not make Jonny feel any better. He considered what would happen if he vomited on that shirt as well, and if Chris would then remove that one and leave his bare chest exposed. Maybe Jonny could offer him one of his own shirts, and then he would have a great excuse to drag Chris into his bedroom-

Jonny shook his head. “I'm sorry, Chris,” he said, unsure of what exactly he was apologizing for. Was he sorry that he had those thoughts about Chris? Sorry that he had abandoned everyone in his own home and sulked off with definite intentions of getting drunk and hoping no one would notice he'd left?

Or, as Chris seemed to think when he answered, “It's OK, Jonny. I know you didn't mean it. Just, if you're going to hurl again, let me know first?” sorry that he let loose the contents of his stomach all over Chris's sweater? Jonny decided the last one was good enough, seeing as Chris had already accepted that particular apology. “Come on, I think you need to go to bed. All right?”

Jonny weakly nodded and let Chris lead him into the bedroom. He stumbled around the room until he finally collapsed on the bed. His eyes were closed, but he heard Chris laugh as he drew closer.

“No, wait, get up for a second,” he commanded. Jonny felt like he was in no position to disobey, so he rolled off of the bed, purposely – but not softly – landing on the floor. Without even looking, he could tell that Chris was shaking his head. He didn't care; he was too drunk to care. “You can get back up here now.”

Jonny opened his eyes and climbed back into the bed. He noticed now that the blankets had been pulled back, and once he laid down Chris placed them over his body. Jonny flipped over onto his stomach, as that was always what he found to be the most comfortable position in which to fall asleep. Plus, even through his drunkenness he remembered that intoxication and sleeping while laying on one's back did not mix well.

Jonny tried to watch Chris as discreetly as possible while also attempting to appear to be asleep. Chris didn't move from the bed for quite a while. Jonny thought Chris must have known he was actually awake, not because it had only been a few seconds since Jonny laid down – this reason had not occurred to him, in fact – but because he soon felt Chris's hand running up and down his back in a soothing motion. The feel of Chris's touch gave Jonny a sense of peace, and with a tiny smile he began to drift away, his eyelids growing heavier and heavier until finally he had to keep them shut.

He had woken up the next morning to a massive headache and an empty apartment. The only thing about the previous night he remembered was the reason why he couldn't remember anything from the previous night. The beer bottles that lined the side of the kitchen sink helped bring back the memory, but everything else was a complete blank. As he remarked the strange cleanness of the kitchen, he saw a note on the fridge, one that had not been there the day before and was written in a foreign, yet slightly familiar handwriting:

Jonny-

After you fell asleep I told everyone that I found you in the bathroom and that you weren't feeling well, so they all left and said to tell you that they wish you feel better in the morning.

I hope you do, too.

xxChris

Jonny had smirked and set the note down on the counter, walking away to go make a strong cup of coffee.

It wasn't until now, standing in the laundromat with Chris's sweater in his hands, that Jonny remembered what happened that night. He felt embarrassed that he had done such a thing to Chris's sweater and essentially to Chris himself, but then he started thinking Why did that even happen? Not because he was drunk, surely, because in his still foggy memory he could see flashes of Chris, closer to him than he could ever recall and with a look that went way past friendly strewn across his face. Was that why he hadn't seen Chris since that party?

Jonny suddenly became aware that there were other people nearby who probably would have liked to use that dryer, the one that was still holding all of his clothes even though he was perfectly capable now of taking them out. He set Chris's sweater aside with the mental note to drive over to Chris's place once he was done and maybe do things right this time. Then he grabbed a handful of his own attire from the dryer and threw it into his basket.

I dare one of you to mix it up and not write something disturbingly homosexual -_____-

and thus,

A Story for Gena-

or

That Time Guy Stopped Being Human-

The screen door had been left wide open again; no doubt the house would be covered in mosquitoes by now. Those damn insects were everywhere even with both doors closed and locked. I saw no reason for this situation to be any different.

"Ma, ya gotta stop leavin' this door open!" I called into the house. Ma was gettin' on in her years now. Quite often I'd come home and find her layin' in bed, talkin' as if Pa were still there. She was really losin' it.

But it was worse than just the mosquitoes. That group of kids down on the corner by the liquor store think they're so tough. I know they'd run screamin' if they came by when I was home, but most of the time I'm not. Most of the time it's just Ma, and with her head the way it is now, they got nothing to be afraid of. I don't think she'd even realize they weren't her children.

"Ma?"

There was no answer, but I wasn't unnerved in the least. Ma never answered when she was talkin' to herself. Or sleepin'.

I threw my bag on the kitchen table and headed for the fridge. I hadn't had a bite to eat in days, and the last time I looked in the mirror I swore I could see a rib or two. Ma didn't get out much these days, but somehow her fridge was always filled with food.

But not today. There was absolutely nothing in there.

"Ma?"

Still no answer. I got to thinkin' that maybe I should check up on her, just in case.

And I hadn't seen any mosquitoes yet.

She wasn't in the living room. I knew that, that was the first room of the house. If she had been in there, there wouldn't have been a problem at all.

She wasn't in the bathroom. The door was wide open and the light was off.

She wasn't in her bedroom, either. I'd have expected her to be layin' in bed and talkin' to herself, but no. None of that. So there was only one other option left - well, two, and actually, in light of what happened, at least three, but to me at that time, only one other option.

But she wasn't in the guest room.

I walked back down the hallway and towards the kitchen, thinkin' of what could've happened to Ma. If those kids came by...

And that's when I heard a noise. It was a low and consistent noise, almost like a buzz. I knew then I'd found at least one damn mosquito, except I hadn't a clue where it was in the house. But it was there, and I could hear it clear as day.

I stopped in the living room. The noise was louder. It sounded like it was comin' from the screen door. I sneaked up real quietly and grabbed the nearest object I could find. That mosquito was goin' down.

But there was not mosquito by the door. The sound stopped as I stood in front of the doorway, confused. Then it started up again, and I swear it sounded like a mosquito laughin' at me. It got louder, and I spun around to see if it was anywhere else in the room.

I nearly had a heartattack. It was on the sofa, but it wasn't no ordinary mosquito, no; this mosquito was the size of a child, starin' right at me with big bug eyes and a creepy grin to match. I had a terrible feelin'.

"Ma?"

"She's not here anymore, Guy."

I shook my head. Did a mosquito just talk to me? In English? A damn mosquito?

"Where is she, then? And how d'ya know my name?"

"We know everything, Guy."

"Will ya stop that? Give me a damn answer!"

"We'll give you your answers if you give us ours, Guy."

"Stop that!"

Then a second one popped up out of thin air, same size as the first but with a more girlish voice... a more girlish voice for a mosquito? I was losin' my mind.

"Yeah, Guy, give us ours."

"Give ya what?"

"Give us the answer, Guy."

"What answer?"

"You know the question, Guy. You know the answer."

"Listen, I have no clue what any of ya is talkin' 'bout. All right? Now, will ya please, please, tell me what happened to Ma?"

"She's with us now, Guy."

"It's your turn, Guy."

"My turn for what?"

"Go find your mother, Guy. Go find her and bring her back here to us."

"It'll be easier if ya'd just tell me where she is!"

"You have to find her yourself, Guy. You know where she is."

Did I know? I didn't know I knew, did I? I was definitely losin' my mind, but I was startin' to remember bits of my childhood, like when Pa was still alive and we'd all sit out back durin' the hot summer nights and just sit on the porch and look at the stars.

My feet took me there while I was thinkin'.

"Ma?"

I stepped out of the doorway and onto the porch. I could hear the creakin' of the porch swing, but I was afraid to look. I knew.

"I'm glad you made it home, Guy."

It was her voice, but not her tone. I knew. She sounded like one of them.

"Come have a seat with me, Guy."

"No, Ma." My voice was startin' to shake. What a thing to come home to.

"Don't you love your mother anymore, Guy?"

"You're not Ma anymore. You're one of them."

"Come join me, Guy. I'd like your company."

"You're one of them."

"And so are you, Guy." The first one had appeared in front of me now, starin' again like it was tryin' to see my soul. Then the second one popped up next to the first.

"Look at your hands, Guy."

I looked at my hands. They looked the same as always to me. But it felt different.

"Look at those stars, Guy."

I stepped past them and to the edge of the stairs. It was noon when I came here, how were the stars out now? But they were there, just as I'd remembered them. They dotted the sky.

The brightest ones formed a...

"A damn mosquito!" I spun around with immense anger, feelin' like I was gonna burst any second. "What the hell is goin' on?"

Ma wasn't on the porch swing anymore. She wasn't on the porch at all.

The two ones grabbed my arms, and at first it felt like they'd thrown me off the porch. But then I was in the air and they were still holdin' onto me.

"What is goin' on?" I kept askin', but they wouldn't answer. They just laughed.

"You tell us, Guy."

"You know the question, Guy. You know the answer."

We were high in the air now, almost near the stars it felt like. Then suddenly they dropped me. I thought I was gonna fall to the ground and die, but I didn't. I just started flyin' myself.

And I knew the answer. I was one of them.

:wtf:

ok, well, that's enough of that for me :P

Chapter 1

Chloe had always loved London more than anything in the whole world and finally it was her chance, to live her dream. She lived in Australia and has been waiting for her dreams to come true since she was 5. Chloe was only 17 but so what maybe it’s right to change a life style when you’re young. She wanted the chance to experience what the educational system is like in London and heard wonderful and great things come from UCL; she sent in her application forms and there she was off, a free woman in London, no friends, no family what on earth was she thinking. She was now living in London and finally got accepted into UCL. Couldn’t wait what the experiences would be like, she could finally breath. She never ever told anyone but she could play any instrument that she laid her hands on and she was a pretty good singer according to her mum when she hears her in the shower.

sorry i tryed spoiler but it didnt work

Chapter 2

Oh dear god it was Chloe’s first day at UCL and she was a nervous wreck what on earth is she going to say, oh well she’s pretty good when it comes to meeting new people so I’m sure she will be GREAT. First off she met the head mistress and she took Chloe to her class, “class we have a new student today her name is Chloe and she has just moved here from Australia “the teacher said. Straight away Chloe couldn’t help it but look at a man in her class, he was just staring at her and it was freaking Chloe out. So she grabbed a seat at the front of the class and enjoyed her experience, but she could feel that mans eyes burning into her back it was highly uncomfortable but it kept her brain going on what he was thinking. It was lunch time and as being a new student she sat by herself, she looked behind her and saw the man that was in her class sitting at the table behind her and yes he was still staring at her. This was really pissing her off and she didn’t really care what his friends thought. Walking up to his was like walking down the aisle to your dream guy, she realized that he was really really cute and then she thought oh god what am I going to say to him. “Hey I’m Chloe and I’m a new student in your class” she said as she put her hand out to give him a hand shake, “h…hh….he…hello….uhh…my….name….i….is…..oh fuck what’s my name again Jonny” the man said “your name is Chris, hey I’m Jonny and this is Will and Guy” Jonny replied. “Would you like to sit with us Chloe” Will said “ummm….. sure why not” Chloe replied.

Chapter 3

Well it was the end of the day and Chloe couldn’t be happier she got invited out for dinner with the boys and they were inviting their friend Phil as well. All she could think was OMG what am I going to wear blah blah blah, she had befriend her roommate Micky (Micaila) and she went through all of Chloe’s clothes and picked out her black jeans, a red top with black butterflies and her boots. After meeting Chris, Chloe was going crazy she had the biggest crush on him and they barely even talked yet. Half an hour later Chloe heard a knock at the door and went crazy “OMG MICKY IT’S THE BOYS OMG ANSWER THE FUCKING DOOR” Chloe Screamed, Micky answered the door as her crazy roommate asked her to. Chloe could only see Jonny and Will “hey guys where’s Chris and Guy?” Chloe asked “they went to get the car shall we go?” Jonny replied, Chloe didn’t even say anything she grabbed her coat and raced out the door. Jonny and Will got in Guys car, Chloe looked back and Chris opened the door for her, there was silence for 2 minutes which then Chris broke saying “Chloe I’m so sorry about today I’m not very good with talking to girls” Chloe smiled and replied “Chris that’s fine I totally understand”. “Boy now I know why people say Australia is all about the pretty girls” Chris said while putting a smile on his face “well that must not be me then I mustn’t be a true Aussie” Chloe said “if you’re not a true Aussie then I sure don’t know what is” Chris replied making his smile into a grin. They arrived at the place they were having dinner at and Chloe met Phil, they all laughed and got to know each other it was truly a great start to Chloe new life in London.

So this story has kind of been a pain in the rump, I wrote a great deal of it during the summer, but never got around to finishing it. Well it's done now. I don't even know where I left off, so I am just going to post the whole thing again. Cheers ya'll and have a Freakin' MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Peaches

The windows were all thrown wide open and a slight breeze was blowing through causing a slight airy movement in the sheer curtains. A golden haze was forming on the horizon and was slowly rising. The crackle of the radio could be heard and the soft sounds of a man singing along. Downstairs in the kitchen sat a young girl with strawberry blonde hair twisted into braids that went half way down her back was humming a sweet sound as she made herself a bowl of cereal.

Not too soon after the creak of the old stairs announced the arrival of the man from upstairs and the girl looked up and smiled. “I see we decided not to shave. Mum would threaten you with a kitchen knife if she saw you.”

“Well it’s a good thing that mum is half way across the Atlantic isn’t it Savannah?”

“Doesn’t mean she won’t find out.” Savannah teased as she flipped some Cheerios in her brother’s direction.

“So you want to go back to rainy wet England huh? You don’t like it here at Will’s warm beach house in Georgia?” Will taunted.

“You mean this run down shack?” Savannah questioned.

“Hey, this place has so much character, it lives up to the cities charm back in the day when trollies use to roll down the streets and people dressed up to go out. I like this ‘shack’ and I intend to fix it up and restore it to its original beauty one-day.” Will announced as he prepared some coffee.

“Well until that day occurs, it’s a shack. Anyway how long do you have to work today? Can I take your car and go to the city and go shopping?”

“I work all day like every day and no you can not take my car you little felon! You don’t have a license and don’t give me the ‘you let me drive your car back in England, I was young and naive back then’” Will exclaimed.

“Will that was three years ago, I don’t think you have matured that much.” Savannah said as she rolled her eyes.

“Oh hush you! Here you can have my bus pass.” Will said as he tossed her the flimsy card. “ That should get you into town to go do your dreadful deeds.”

“You spoil all the fun. Well have fun saving no one at the beach, I can’t believe you get paid to sit there and watch women tan all day. No one get’s in the water over here, it’s like they fear that if they touch it they will melt or ruin their plastic surgery nose.” Savannah called out as she left the kitchen.

Will just shook his head and gazed out the window admiring the unique patterns the clouds and the rising sun were making. He needed to go soon so that he could get the flags out before people started making their way to the beach. Will drank the last of the coffee and tossed the mug into the sink making a mental note to do the dishes when he came home.

Taking one last look around the kitchen to make sure he wasn’t forgetting anything he needed he opened the door and swung his legs off the porch and landed on the ground. Leaning against the peeling wood of his home was his means of transportation, an old faded red Schwinn bike complete with basket and bell. With a grin plastered on his face Will swung his leg over and began to peddle down the road to the beach.

It always felt like an accomplishment to Will to arrive at the beach before anyone else, like he was the king and the waves were all bowing for him just because he was there. He also liked to jog along the shore and feel the wet sand squish between his toes and see his trail of footprints being left behind him. This was also the time when he would watch the waves and determine what kind they were so he would know what flags to put out. Most of the time the water off the coast of Georgia was tame and a green flag would be seen flying but on the occasion Will would have to fly a red or yellow flag.

The water was gently lapping the sand indicating it was a green flag day. Will smiled knowing he could relax just a hair today. Finishing his run he made it to the lifeguard stand and climbed the ladder and found his 5 greens flags. He tossed them down on to the sand and then he leapt from the stand right after them.

With the flags in place to ‘inform’ the public he decided to make his way back to his stand and start the oh so exciting day. He did enjoy his lifeguard stand, it reminded him of a tree house with legs. Inside was a first aid kit, a raft, a radio and binoculars. He would sit there with the radio turned on to some sixties music while he watched his area of the beach. Watching was pretty much the only thing he did, not much mouth-to-mouth was being needed, as it seemed to be the only section of the beach where the ‘older’ ladies came.

He knew why they came to his beach, because they were 55 and their husbands now had beer bellies and were balding. They came in groups and they would set their umbrellas and chairs out and face his stand. He was required that every hour he get down and patrol his beach and that’s when the ladies would swarm like a pack of hyenas.

They would follow behind him as he walked and would make comments to each other about his ‘cute’ butt and muscular physic. It always made Will chuckle and sadly he started to know the ladies by name.

“Good morning Eleanor and Florence.”

“Oh Good Morning William, wont you be a dear and help us put some sun tan lotion on? And talk to us some more in your lovely accent?” Eleanor asked as she ‘tried’ to seductively squeeze the sunscreen on to her legs.

Will cringed at the sight and tried to picture something else. No luck. “Uh sorry ladies I’ve got to get back to my stand and do some er lifeguarding duties.”

“Oh what bad luck, perhaps next time?” Florence said with a wink, or at least that’s what Will thought she was trying to do. Will gave them a wary smile and just walked off.

Chapter 2

Sweat was running down the back of Will’s neck as he repainted the back porch stairs. It was his free day and like most of his free days he spent it fixing up his southern belle as he called his home. The clicking of ice in a glass announced Savannahs arrival.

“I made you some sweat tea, cause it is just sticky out here. I thought the humidity was awful in England, but here it is just dreadful and the heat don’t help.”

“Thanks Savannah, What are your plans for the night?”

“Oh uh, not much. I was just going to make it a low key night.”

“Well how about after I finish this I take you with me to the farmers market and then we can grab a bite to eat on our way back?”

“I just don’t know, I’ll have to check my schedule.. looks like I have had a cancellation and I can pencil you in.”

“Tell your ‘Dear Diary toy’ that I know where the screw driver is.” Will said as he flung his paintbrush at his sister.

“Gah! WILL!!!! Alright, I better go get cute, cause there could be hot American boys there.” Savannah said with a giddy squeal and ran off inside.

Will just laughed and tossed some paint on his brush and continued on.

The little fan was blowing hot air around the tiny guard shack and the static on the radio was becoming over bearing. Will tensed his hand and swung hitting the radio, knocking it to the ground and sending pieces of it across the floor. “Shit.” Will sat still breathing deeply in and out through his nose trying to calm down. “Fuck this.” The muscular man reached his hands to the little opening in the stand and launched his body through the opening. A dull thud let anyone around now that he had landed on the sand.

Will looked up and noticed that on the horizon dark clouds were forming and that the air was becoming increasingly stale and eerily calm. A storm was on its way in, Will felt the power coursing through his veins. It was electrifying and cleansing at the same time. It had been a while since a good storm had come through here and he was excited. He wasn’t the only one who noticed it either, the beach was empty, and his usual following of old hags had gone home to their little blue pill popping husbands. It was an almost peaceful sight. Rolling waves and golden sand beaches lay before him and not a sole could be seen.

He quickly judged the ominous clouds and determined that their threat would not happen today, but maybe early tomorrow morning. The waves were beginning to grow, Will knew that tomorrow he would see a few crazies out to surf it, he just hopped that they were smart and were able to judge it, but most likely that wouldn’t happen. Deciding that there would be no other guests at the beach, Will decided to collect the flags and go home.

The wind was starting to pick up and was causing the shutters on the windows to bang the sides of the house creating an awful sound. Will cringed as he thought of the imminent damage that was occurring. He had underestimated this storm and it was quickly turning into a storm of hurricane proportions. Will walked into his kitchen to find his sister setting out a pot to catch the water droppings that were leaking from the ceiling.

“Right uh the roof needs to be replaced, but in due time eh?” Will said as he received a death glare from Savannah.

“Oh cheer up, at least it doesn’t rain all the time here. Anyway I’m going to make you a famous Georgia Peach Pie. That should make up for the constant shower.”

“Will you can actually bake?” Savannah questioned in a teasing manner.

“Mhhmm, and it includes a side of ultimate death!” Will said as he nodded his head.

“Well this I have to taste, better yet see.” Savannah replied as she sat down at one of the stools that sat by the kitchen counter.

Will let out a great bellow of laughter as he whisked around the kitchen gathering up supplies to create his pie. He was extra careful to accidently spill some flour on Savannahs head. But then the flour was returned in the form of a face full of egg. Before long Savannah and Will were having a battle in the kitchen. Finally after his kitchen was coated in a fine layer of white dust and runny yellow yoke, he decided to crack down and make his pie.

In a short hour Will had finished mixing, and whisking and had a pie to show for it. Savannah gave will a teasing round of clapping while Will bowed.

“And now it bakes.” Will announced with a grin.

“And now it gets neglected and burns!” Savannah shouted as she ran out of the room to avoid the towel that was tossed in her direction.

Will smiled and placed the pie into the oven and set to cleaning up his kitchen. When he was done he still had a good 30 min before the pie needed to be taken out. A quick glance out the window showed that the storm outside had lessened to a mild pitter patter of rain and Will decided to go for a walk in the rain along the beach. He let Savannah know, and told her when to take the pie out.

Upon stepping out side Will took a deep breath and let his lungs fill with the fresh air. The smell in the air was luxurious; it had the sweat scent that lingers after a heavy down pour mixed with the salt from the sea. Will set out at quick pace enjoying the feeling the rain left as it fell on his skin. The dark waters churned and left bubbles in their wake. When Will stood still and closed his eyes he could hear the bubbles pop and it sent chills of bliss down his spine. Everything about the rain and weather was making him giddy, like it was the first day of school when you’re six.

Will was glancing out at the waves when he noticed and dark figure out on the waves surfing. They were getting dangerously close to the outcropping of rocks. Will had seen many surfers get tangled up in choker wave and seen them get driven into the rocks. Most didn’t survive. Holding his breath he watched in what felt like slow motion a surprise wave come up from behind the lone surfer. One second they were on top of the wave and the next they were swallowed and thrown deep into the pounding cavern of the waves underbelly.

Will’s pulse speed up like stomping on the throttle of a car’s gas, he ran and dove into the menacing ocean trying desperately to fight his way out to the surfer. Wave after wave pounded on him, trying to thwart his efforts, but will persevered and kept swimming. Kick. Stroke. Kick. Stroke. Through salt burning eyes he could see a figure tossed onto the rocks and pieces of a surfboard scattered around. Will mustered up a great amount of stamina and propelled himself directly to the rocks.

Blood was rolling down the side of the head of the surfer. Will scooted his body right next to the surfer. He brushed the hair to the side that was strewn in the face of the surfer and looked into the face of the most stunning woman he had ever scene.

Chapter 3

“Who is she Will?” Savannah questioned as she pointed towards the worn old couch in the living room where the surfer girl lay unconscious.

“I don’t know, but I couldn’t just leave here there Savannah.” Will said.

“You know there happens to be this wonderful place that has quite recently become common in oh every country called a hospital! It’s a place where they help people and where people like her should be right now!”

“Hush. If she worsens I’ll take her there, but I just… there is something about her. I’m going to get her another blanket.”

“Will your still dripping wet and you smell like sea throw up. Go take a shower and I will get her another blanket. I doubt she is going to wake up soon anyway; she was bleeding crazy until you fixed her up.”

“Thanks Savannah. I wont take too long.”

Will sat in the chair across from the couch. Stuffing from the chair was oozing out from the sides, but Will just couldn’t get rid of his favorite chair. A small table sat next to him with a small reading lamp that was casting a warm glow around Will as he read a book and kept an eye on the girl.

Soon his head began to feel heavy and started to fall and would jolt Will awake for a bit longer. He would have eventually fallen asleep had he not heard her speak. It was quite and faint and a bit scratchy from the salt water, but Will heard her speak.

“It smells like peaches in here.”

Will blinked his eyes a few times then cracked a smile. Sat up across from him was the girl he had saved. Her rich coffee brown hair was encircling her face and her liquid green eyes sparkled in the dim light “That is because I made a peach pie a few hours ago.” Will said in a gentle teasing tone.

“Oh that sound lovely.”

“You have such a lovely voice. It is calming and full of warmth.”

“Thank you. Would you like a slice of pie?” Will asked

A low rumbled echoed from her stomach.

Will chuckled and stood up and motioned for her to follow him into the kitchen. While Will banged around the kitchen he introduced himself.

“My name is Will.. I am”

“Your not from around here? You sound like you are from somewhere exciting, where people are cultured and live vicariously.”

“Ha-ha, well I’m not sure it’s that exciting, but I’m from England.” Will exclaimed as her placed a piece of pie in front of her.

“England, I’ve always wanted to go there. When I was a little girl I had a big map of the world that hung in my room. One day I took a marker and I put stars next to all the countries that I wanted visit. I think I ended up marking just about every country on the map.”

“Well maybe you can go to England someday and perhaps the rest of the world. So what is your name?” Will asked.

“How rude of me! My name is….” She sat there for a while with a blank look. “My name is uh.. I can’t remember. Why can’t I remember? Where am I? How did I get here? Did you kidnap me? Did you rape me?”

“Whoa! Take it easy. You don’t remember what happened?”

“No.” she said in a small voice.

“Oh dear. Perhaps I should take you to the hospital.”

“NO! I don’t want to go to the hospital. You can’t make me go! I won’t!” She said angrily.

“Okay.”

“Okay?”

“Yeah, okay.”

“Will you tell me what happened?” she asked in a timid voice.

“Only if you eat that pie” Will said as he pointed at the little plate. ,”You look like skin and bones.”

She quickly picked up the fork and shoveled in a huge bite. “MMMMM, that is so good. It just melts in your mouth. I love peaches.”

“Excellent, that makes two of us, now story time.”

--- 20 Minutes----

“So do you think I have amnesia?”

“I’m not sure, I would presume if you can’t remember your name or the accident.”

“Do you think I will ever get it back?”

“Maybe. I’m not sure though. Well I’m sure your exhausted, you can sleep in my bed tonight, and perhaps you will wake up in the morning and you will be able to remember everything.”

“Oh that would be nice.”

“Yeah.. My room is upstairs, let me lead you there.”

“The bathroom is through that door, there are spare towels in the cabinet behind the door.”

“Thanks Will. I’m sure I will remember everything in the morning. You have been so kind.”

“Well that’s how we English men are.” Will said with a wink.

“Ha-ha Good night Will!”

“Good night… Peaches”

“Peaches?”

“Yeah, peaches, they remind me of you, and it was the first thing you said when come around.”

“I like it.”

“Sweet Dreams Peaches.” Will whispered.

Chapter 4

‘It’s incredible how the morning after a fierce storm like last night can be so beautiful’, Will thought to himself as he stood on the porch. The sun was rising over the ocean casting vibrant orange streaks across the water.

Upstairs Peaches was admiring not the morning sunrise, but the man that stood watching it, with just a pair of jeans that hung low and showed of his tan body. He had broad shoulders and a toned stomach. He was no model, but he had rugged looks that could kill. He was standing so strong and steady, never wavering. Peaches placed her hand on the window frame and traced his outline.

“He is even better up close you know.”

Peaches jumped and turned around to see a girl who was a carbon female copy of Will standing in the doorway holding some clothes in her arms.

“Sorry? I uh, who are you?” Peaches asked.

“I’m Savannah, Will’s sister. He said you were about my size and asked me to let you borrow some of my clothes, so here I am.” Savannah chimed.

Peaches glanced down at her clothes, she was still wearing her wetsuit, but it was torn, stained and had an awful smell rising from it. Blushing Peaches looked back up at Savannah and half smiled half grimaced. “Yeah.. Thanks. I look like such a mess.”

“You look like you just had a battle with the ocean, it’s alright. You just need a warm shower and then you will feel better. When your done Will and I will have breakfast ready and you can join us.”

Peaches nodded her head and graciously took the clothes from Savannah.

“I’m Peaches by the way.”

“Peaches? That’s really your name?”

“No, but that’s the name that Will gave me last night.”

“Oh.. Okay, well that’s new.” “By the way, you’re the first to have a nickname.” Savannah said with a wink and walked off.

Peaches soaked in the last phrase that Savannah had said as she took a shower. ‘I’m the first to have a nickname? I don’t even know what my real name is let alone, what does that girl mean?’

-Downstairs-

“So you and Peaches eh? You sly dog! You’ve only known her for about 7 hours and she already has a nickname?” Savannah said as she gave a playful punch to Will’s shoulder.

“Ouch, that hurt.” Will sarcastically said as he pretended to rub and care for his ‘hurt’ arm. “Well she kind of can’t remember her name, so I gave her a name.

“My my dear willy, you sure know how to pick them.” Savannah said with a wink.

“Oh shut it, she’s just.. she’s.. she’s the one.”

“The one? How can you know? It’s only been a few hours, you don’t even know her!”

“That’s the thing, I don’t need to know her, I feel like I already do. She has come into my life unexpectedly and is moving the earth all around me, and I just know it. She is my everything.”

There was a silence in the kitchen after Will had spoken, Savannah walked over to Will’s side and stood there next to him for awhile. They stood there and watched the sun coat every surface in its warm glow and then slowly returned back to the real world.

“Okay. Don’t lose her.”

“I won’t. I won’t. Now let’s get this breakfast together before she comes down.”

Chapter 5

-: 2 Months has passed since they met:-

“Come on a bike ride with me!” Will pleaded

“How do I know if I can even ride a bike? Peaches teased

“Hmm, if you can’t ride a bike then I suppose you just might have to ride on my handlebars.” Will said as he tossed Peaches on his shoulders with a grin and kicked open the screen door. He casually strolled over to his bike and gently set Peaches down upon the handlebar. Peaches give Will a dirty look, crossed her arms, and put on her best pouty face.

Will gave her a wink and quick peck on the lips and then swung his body onto the bike and began to peddle. For first little while there was no mingling between the two, just the steady beat of will peddling and the sound of will’s breathing. The silence was broken when Will decided to stretch his fingertips and tickle Peaches backside. Sweet sounds of laughter erupted and continued for sometime.

“William Champion, I am going to fall off if you don’t stop!” Peaches yelled between fits of giggles.

“My dear Peaches, I would never let you fall off, unless..”

“Will! Stop tickling me to death, I’m going to pee my pants from laughing so much!”

Will grinned and slowly stopped the amusing torture and continued peddling. They rode the bike out of the city into the charming rolling hills of the Georgia Countryside. Soon the hills turned into tree filled forests where exhilarating colors exploded in their faces and incredible plants blossomed.

Turning the bike off the path he rode a bit into the grass and then stopped. He offered his hand to Peaches and began to lead her through the waste high swaying grass and the knot encrusted willow trees. A walking for just a while longer, Will lead Peaches into a tiny clearing where a dreamy lake sat beside and the sun shone directly into the clearing like a beacon of hope.

Peaches cast her eyes around the peaceful hollow taking in its beauty. Sitting in the middle of the clearing was a red-checkered blanket with a picket basket sitting on top. A warm arm wrapped it’s way around her waist and guided her forward toward the blanket. Peaches sat next to Will and leaned into his strong body. She rested her head on his chest and took in his sweet aroma that seemed to radiate from him.

The two of them sat together and enjoyed each other’s company and the simple meal that was inside the basket. It wasn’t the sweet gesture that Will had done that made Peaches fall for Will, it was the feeling that she had while sitting there in his arms. For the first time in a long time she felt safe.

While Peaches was wrapped up in her comfort, Will got up and began walking toward the small lake. Ever so casually he began to take off his shirt and discard it on the ground. A smile began to form on his lips and he proceeded to take off his shorts. Peaches looked up and laughed.

“Hmm you seem to have misplaced your clothes my dear Will.”

Have I now? Hmm perhaps if I remove these boxers I will find my clothes?”

“Oh I think you stand a very good chance with that.”

‘Is that so? Let’s see.” Will slowly and tantalizingly stripped off his boxers.

“Hmm I don’t see your clothes anywhere!”

“Really? Damn… What am I to do now?”

“Ha ha, you tell me?”

Will grinned a cocky little smile and then turned a ran into the lake, causing a great deal of water to splash everywhere including upon Peaches.

“WILLIAM CHAMPION! Look what your gallivanting has done! I am soaked!”

“Oh darn, what a shame. Hmm Perhaps you should take your clothes off and let them dry?”

“And what am I to do while they are drying?”

Will smiled casually and pretended to think. “Well I guess I can let you come swim with me.”

Peaches laughed. “Alright, but turn around.”

“Hold up, I let you see all of me, I think It’s only fair.”

“Uh uh, you choose to give me that little show, I choose not to, not yet at least.”

“Fine fine, I’m turning around.” Will playfully splashed the water around while he waited until he felt hands on his shoulders.

“Hey there.”

Will turned around and stared into the vivid green eyes that stared right back at him.

“Incredible.”

“What’s incredible?” Peaches asked.

“It’s incredible that you can still look so stunningly beautiful with mud on your face!”

“What?”

Will smashed a fist full of mud on her face and tried to swim away. Peaches grabbed a handful of mud from the bottom and chucked it at the back of Will’s head. Will retaliated in pushing Peaches under and soon the two were covered in mud and laughing so hard they were crying. Will looked up and saw a spark in her eyes, she was so full of life, so exhilarating, so dynamic. Will knew he had found her and so he let his heart take control.

Weaving his fingers in hers he pulled her close, he brushed his lips against hers and felt her lips part. Tenderly he bit her lip, pulling her closer each time. He reached his hands up a placed them on the sides of her face. His lips formed to hers and they moved in synch together. No fireworks were shot, no electricity felt, it was better. They felt complete, like they were missing a puzzle piece to their hearts and it was finally found and put in place. They felt the fire within each other truly light.

Chapter 6

“Have a safe flight Savannah.” Will said as he gave his sister a kiss and a hug.

“Thanks, I’m so excited to be going back to the rain and cold. Why can’t I stay here? I could go to school and it would be great!”

“Uh no. Give mum my love.”

“Goodbye Savannah, thank you for being such a dear to me!” Peaches said.

“Of course! Behave you two! I know where to find you!” Savannah teased.

“Alright smartass, go get on that bird already!” Will said as he pushed Savannah towards security.

-*-

The candles flickered in a careless manor. The power had gone out a couple of hours ago, which left Will with only candles and matches. He and peaches were sprawled out on the old rug in the living room with the game of scrabble placed between them. It was getting overbearingly warm in the room, but with the windows and doors open the storm outside would leave the home in a drenched state, so they remained closed.

Will began to sweat and grow uncomfortable in his confining clothes. After laying down his word he casually took off his shirt revealing his muscular chest. Peaches eyes slowly looked up over her tile board and leveled on Will’s chest. A tingle shot through her body. ‘My God he is delicious.’ She thought to her self. Feeling the heat of the room herself peaches reaches up and pulled off her tank top revealing her black bra.

A small smirk appeared on the lips of Will as he laid down the tiles S E X on the board. Pecahes inwardly grinned and placed the tiles Y E S down. Will read the word and in flash shoved the game aside sending tiles scattered across the floor. Will grabbed Peaches and pushed her down to the rug. He began with fiery kisses from her stomach, one after another, slowly, tenderly, leading upward towards her lips. Peaches let out a low moan as his lips left torturous burns on her skin.

Her hands reached down and fumbled for the button at the top of his jeans, unclasping it she began to synch his jeans down, feeling his muscles all the way down. He did the same to her, but felt her womanly curves and delicate skin against his. Will pulled her closer to his body and wrapped his hands around her backside finding the clasp on her bra. Struggling Will grew desperate and tore the bra off and was quick to caress her freed bosom.

Peaches threw her head back and bit her lip at the sensation Will was stirring in her body, it was overwhelming and yet she craved more. Will was quick to sense the desire and slide one hand down and began to slide her panties down and then took off his boxers to reveal his throbbing membrane. Peaches felt the hard member next to her body and began to beg that Will enter her. “Fuck me Will, let me see the stars and feel you even closer to me. Give me some more!” Will slid into her and they began to move together in rhythm to their racing hearts. Peaches body tensed and she slid her hands through Wills hair and shouted his name. Will pumped back and forth and then stars collided, universes were shattered and both Will and Peaches moaned together in ecstasy. Chests heaving in pleasure the two kissed and interlocked their hands. Will sighed in content and pulled Peaches into his body and they spooned together until they fell asleep listening to each other’s hearts beating.

Okay here is part two, we have a character limit so I couldn't put it all in the same post.

chapter 7

Will awoke to sunlight streaming across his living room. He quickly turned around to find he was alone. Finding his jeans he got up and walked into the kitchen finding his shirt on a beautiful female who was straddling the kitchen stool with a cup of coffee in her hands. Will smiled and wrapped his arms around her giving her a kiss.

“Good Morning.” He whispered.

“Yes it is a Good Morning.” She replied.

“Mmm you know what would make it even better?”

“mmm What?”

“If we continued what happened last night here on the kitchen counter.”

“Ahh see now that would be lovely, but you have work.”

“Shit! What time is it?”

“Just after 7.”

“Fuck” Will shouted as he ran out of the kitchen and upstairs.

Peaches smiled and hopped off her stool and made him a cup of coffee and a lunch.

Will ran back into the kitchen and Peaches gave him what she had made and a quick kiss before she pushed him out the door. Giggling to herself Peaches set about getting ready for the day. She showered and cleaned up the living room. After looking around the kitchen she decided that she would go grocery shopping and make Will something nice for dinner.

-*-

Peaches leaned casually on the metal cart as she strolled up and down the isles of the market debating on what to purchase. A quick glance in her cart showed very little, a cartoon of milk and a box of cereal. Chuckling to herself Peaches debated upon serving Will cereal for dinner. Rounding the next isle Peaches was met with boxes of pasta and sauce and felt that making Will lasagna would be yummy treat for his long day at work. Grabbing a box of noodles she placed them in her cart. Humming a little tune she continued to meander placing more items need to make the dish in her cart. After she had all the main ingredients she found herself in the produce section debating upon what fruit to buy. She was picking out Gala apples when she heard someone calling out.

“Clemy!” “Oh my gosh Peter, it’s Clemy”

Peaches looked up to see a woman with similar features like her own dragging a bewildered man toward her. They looked so familiar the same eyes the same straying wisps of hair. She was almost certain that she knew them, yet she just couldn’t put her finger on it.

The woman had made her way to Peaches and threw her arms around her and hugged her tightly! Peaches just stood there in shock, unsure as to whether she should hug her back or not. The woman finally let go and turned toward the man named Peter instructing him to call the car. The man who had a ghostly expression on his face gave a small nod and took out his cell phone and began to dial a number.

“I can’t believe you’re alive, I thought that you had died, but yet here you are! My Clementine, my baby girl.” The woman said in a thick southern accent.

Peaches was in shock, this woman had just called her Clementine, as in that was her name. Who was this woman?

“We never should have let you go out surfing that night, but you looked so desperate and I knew you were feeling the jitters about getting married. Scott, was so crushed, but now, Oh my! We must have you call Scott to let him know you’re alive!”

“Uh excuse me.” Peaches timidly said. “But who are you? Who is that man and who is Scott, and how do you know me?”

“Clementine! My goodness girl, I’m your mother, and that man there is your father, and Scott is your fiancé! Sweet cakes, you must have lost your memory, we searched that beach up and down and all we found was that damn surfboard. You have been missing now for about 8 months.”

“Carolina, the car is here. Come now.” The man announced as he turned away from the two women and walked toward the store doors.

“Don’t you mind your father, he just got over loosing you and now here you are. Come now, we must get you home and.. ‘Carolina gave a quick look over at her daughter’ out of those commoners clothes. I shall him Mary go out and get you some new clothes. Come along.”

Peaches was beyond confused, one minuet she is shopping for dinner for Will and her and the next she is being told that her name is Clementine and that these people are her family. Peaches could not seem to move and just stood in place flabbergasted.

Carolina noted that her daughter did not seem to be moving so she took her hand and pulled her along leaving the full cart behind.

Waiting outside was a black Porsche SUV and a man holding the door open, Carolina thought nothing of it and walked straight up to the car and got in and tugged Peaches in with her. The door shut and the man holding it prior appeared in the drivers seat and took off.

“Peter, we are going to need to get Clemy some medical attention, she is a ghost of her former self and well dear she can’t seem to remember much of anything.”

‘Of course dear.” Peter responded and once again pulled out his blackberry and began to dial numbers.

Carolina turned to face her daughter, “ Now, where on god’s earth have you been?”

All peaches could think about was Will, his house, his sister, and how happy and at peace she felt when she was with them. She was so confused that all she could do was stare out the window. They were driving along a private drive with old oak trees lined along both sides and lush greenery all around. Eventually the drive lead out of the trees and into a clearing where a large white plantation home stood, complete with a wrap around porch and tall Roman pillars.

“Ah well it doesn’t matter, now we must get you well again, so that you and Scott can be married. Speaking of Scott, it appears that he received the message, his car is parked outside our house.” Carolina announced as she pointed out the window to the red Ferrari.

“Wonderful timing, now we must get you upstairs before Scott sees you like that. Ugh what have you been wearing, such trash, but no worries that can be fixed… but you hair.. well that will just have to do for now, until I can get you an appointment with Chad.” Before Peaches had the chance to speak she was being whisked out of the car and into the stunning plantation home.

Chapter 8

Peaches wrinkled her nose as the scent of lavender filled them. She had just stepped out of the shower and was overwhelmed by the potent scent. ‘Ugh, I miss the smell of warm pie, and a fresh coat of paint’ Peaches thought to herself as she wrapped her damp hair up in a towel. Her supposed bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. Marble countertops with 24 kart gold fixtures and chandeliers made with real crystal. Her bedroom was the same with ornate fabrics and exquisite crown molding. Everything was perfect, nothing was out of place, nothing didn’t match, nothing was broken. The entire situation was making Peaches Stomach churn with emptiness and vile. Laid out on the bed was a dress that looked as if it came from a high end fashion designer in Paris. Peaches gave it one look and stormed over to what she hoped was the closet. She stuck her head inside the door and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw more clothes. Rummaging around in one of the infinite drawers she found a pair of worn jeans and a white v neck t-shirt. She knew that unfortunately the woman downstairs claiming to be her mum would be upset at what she was wearing, but at this point she could care less.

Peaches took some time to look around the room more closely. There were a few pictures and knick-knacks that sat upon shelves and dressers. She noticed that in most of the pictures was her and a man whom she perceived was her supposed fiancé. He was okay, fair skin and very lanky, but had an arrogance about him that made Peaches want to vomit. Turning away from the pictures she noticed a few ribbons and medals on the opposite wall. She crossed the room to get a better look at them. They were medals for surfing. Peaches was slightly taken back, her mother didn’t seem the type to allow her to do any such thing like that unless it was equestrian riding or debutant training.

“You were very good you know miss.”

Peaches spun around to see a petite woman of about 35 standing in front of her. Her skin was as dark as mud but her smile was as bright as the sun.

“Sorry to frighten you miss, I did knock on the door. My name is Ella and I am here to do your hair and makeup. Your momma couldn’t get your hairdresser and asked that I do it.”

Peaches stared at her for a couple of minutes and then smiled. “Of course, come in. I didn’t mean to be rude.”

Ella thanked her and did a little curtsey before walking into the bathroom to pull out all the necessary things.

Peaches followed her and sat down upon the chair that Ella had pulled from somewhere. She was a bit confused, but allowed Ella to work in peace for a little while before bombarding her with all sorts of questions. Ella smiled and chuckled and answered every question to the best of her ability. Peaches learned that she used to be a competitive surfer and was only allowed to do so because she took piano lessons from Yagasaki, the professional pianist from China. She was equally as good at Piano as she was at a surfing. Ella told her that when she first began to play piano she had to play with lit tea candles on her hands so that she would curve her hands properly. Of course Ella was constantly wrapping her hands after the hot wax would fall on them, but the technique worked and Peaches hands were perfectly curved and Peaches played beautifully.

Ella finished curling Peaches hair and applied the last drop of gloss on her lips and called her done. Peaches hugged Ella and thanked her, saying “I honestly believe you and I were dear friends, I just can’t remember.”

“Miss, believe you me, we were.”

Peaches smiled and walked out the door.

“What are you wearin’? I set out a nice presentable outfit for you on your bed and you come down here wearing… this?” Carolina gestured to all of Peaches. “Ugh, well never mind, come come, your fiancé is waitin’ in the study for you.”

Carolina took hold of Peaches upper arm and dragged her toward the stained dark oak doors. “Now remember to smile and flirt, he was devastated when you disappeared.”

Peaches sighed inwardly and cautiously placed her hand upon the doorknob and opened the door. He was leaning against the mantel of the fireplace with his back toward her. She closed the door and stood there for a few seconds before he spoke.

“A full season has passed and the crops have grown, many things have changed, all but my longing for you my sweet Clementine.”

Peaches cringed inwardly, ugh what a cliché line she thought to herself. Upon glancing back up she saw that Scott had turned around and was facing her. He had small beady brown eyes and a chin the size of Texas. A cocky smile was spreading its way across his face as he began to stroll toward her. Peaches knew he was coming over her to kiss her, yet she couldn’t move. She felt like her body and mind were separate and just couldn’t seem to function.

‘Oh no’ she thought to herself. But before she could do anything, he was pressing his lips to her. Peaches just stood there, emotionless and still. She felt his scratchy lips pressing her’s to make them part, but she couldn’t bring herself to let them do that. Soon he grew tired and pulled back. He just stared at her for a few seconds then raised his hand and slapped her across the check leaving a bright red streak. “You stupid girl, how could you just leave? Tomorrow morning I will make you my bride, your parents will give me a handsome endowment and we shall leave for my home in the North, away from here. Do you know how long I have had to put up with your parents, putting on this fake façade? And you have the audacity to just disappear? I will have none of this.” Scott took a few deep breaths while his eyes crossed over Peaches and the room like a mad man. “ Clean yourself up, and leave. I want my bride looking her best in the morning. I will let your mother know of our… exciting news. Oh and you should wear this to make it more authentic.” Scott dug in his pocket and fished out a box and tossed it at Peaches. “Go on you little fuck, put it on your finger.”

Peaches trembled for a second.. Scott was a cruel cold-hearted bastered playing her and her supposed family. With not much of a choice she opened to box and took out the black diamond ring and placed it on her finger. A single tear fell.

“Crying? Bitch, you should cry for you have the privilege of marrying me. Now wipe your face and leave, I will tell your mother and I might stop by your room later, I expect you to wear something more presentable when I do come. Now leave.” Scott ordered as he pointed to the door.

Standing, Peaches crossed the room and opened the door and then shut it and marched straight to her room leaving Scott in the study. Scott let out a little smirk then proceeded to put on a false smile and left the room to find Peaches mother and let her know of the news of their marriage.

Chapter 9

A knock on the door announced his arrival. Peaches shivered at the thought and fought back the tears. She stood up checked her appearance, she had changed into a simple black dress. Deciding she was satisfactory she opened the door and let him in.

Scott swooped into her room like a hawk eyeing their prey. Eyeing her up and down he finally decided she was to his approval. “Go and sit on the bed” he instructed her. While she did so he turned to the door and locked it. “I brought some wine for us to drink and uh celebrate our marriage in the morning. I just need some glasses and look at that, you have some sitting over there. Let me just pour some of this and I will bring it over to you, it might even help you.. relax.”

Pouring the liquid into the glasses Scott then carried them both over to the bed and handed a glass to Peaches. “To us, may we have an easy marriage.” Scott said. Peaches looked at the glass and considered tossing into Scotts face, but then considered other wise. She took a swig of the wine and waited for what Scott was going to say next.

“Now why didn’t you wear that dress earlier, you look so soft and pretty in it? It shows your womanly curves.. I really like a woman with a figure and you my dear have a fabulous figure.” Peaches just kept her thoughts to herself for fear of upsetting Scott and drank more wine. “ You know what, I think I would like to see just what your figure looks like, why don’t you lay back on the bed?”

Immediately Peaches stood up, but upon trying to take a step she slumped to the floor. She had no feeling in her legs and now her arms were taking effect. She tried to shout but as soon as she opened her mouth it was met with a cloth. Scott tied the cloth tight around Peaches mouth so that no sound could escape; he then picked up Peaches and placed her on the bed. “Now don’t worry, this is just what we would be doing tomorrow night anyway, just this way you won’t put up any sort of fight.”

Scott proceeded to strip the black dress off Peaches and then ran his hands up and down her. Inside Peaches head she was screaming, she was cursing his name and yet nothing was heard and nothing could be done. She was being raped and no one would ever hear. Scott unzipped his pants and let them fall to the floor. Silent tears streamed from her eyes, all she could do was wish Will was there to save her. But no one was there. She was alone in her mind.

He had left her room about 2 hours ago and Peaches was finally regaining feeling in her limbs. Soon she was able to curl into a ball on the corner of her bed. It was all she was able to do for a time while she regained her thoughts. Dirty. Dirty. That was all Peaches was able to think about was how dirty she felt. Finally able to make connections with the rest of her body, Peaches crawled out of bed and toward the shower, she reached up her shaking hand and turned the water on and then just collapsed on the shower floor. Laying there for some time, just letting the water wash over her, Peaches thought about the first time she met Will and how sincere he was, how when he smiled he lit up the whole room and cast a ray of warmth over everyone and anyone who was in his vicinity. Peaches opened her eyes and saw her hand with the damned diamond ring on; in a rush of furry she tore the ring off and tossed away from her. Then she caught sight of deep bruising on her torso and felt her head rush and before she knew she was throwing up what little was in her stomach on the shower floor.

‘I have to leave this place, I don’t belong here, even if it was my past, it’s not who I am now.’ With new vigor Peaches stood and stripped off what was remaining of her outfit and climbed out of the shower, she quickly changed into jeans and a t-shirt. She searched in her drawers and found what she was looking for and stuffed it into her back pocket. Being as quite as possible Peaches snuck out of her room and down the stairs. ‘Shit.. shit. I don’t even know if I know how to drive a car nor do I even know where the keys would be.. Fuck. What am I going to do?’ Peaches looked over and saw that the red Ferrari still sat in the drive. Praying that Scott was a man who left keys in his car and the door unlocked, she swiftly crossed over to it. Cautiously she pulled on the smooth contour of the doors handle to test it to see if it would open or set of an alarm. The door swung open with ease and sitting on the seat were the keys.

Sliding in to the slick leather seat, Peaches grasped the key and shoved it into the ignition. The Ferrari kicked into life with a low purr, Peaches kicked the car into gear and stomped on the gas launching the car forward at a high speed. She barreled down the drive never looking back. It was nearing the morning, Peaches could see on the horizon the sun beginning to peak out of the clouds. She didn’t know where exactly Will’s home was, but she knew where he worked. Jumping lanes she swerved around the few cars that were on the road at the same time and floored the gas pedal.

It took her about 40 minutes to find the beach, where upon she parked the car and ran. She ran hard, and she ran fast. She needed to find him. The sun was higher in the sky and beginning to beat down, beads of sweat fell from Peaches face as she searched franticly for him. Up ahead was the last guard tower with a swarm of old ladies lain out. Peaches ran up and looked inside the tower. Empty. Peaches heart dropped and she felt sick to her stomach again.

“Sweet Cakes, he’s not here.”

Peaches looked up and saw this old woman with her shades down a bit looking at her. “Sorry? He’s not here?”

“Well baby dumpling I have to guess your looking for the handsome British man, who else could you possibly be looking for? That’s the reason we all sit here. We’re all rich but the private beaches don’t have Mr. Good lookin’ “

Looking around, all the woman were beginning to sit up and listen in on this conversation.

“Yeah sugar, that’s the only reason we sit here, our husbands are old and well they are a bit droopy if you know what I mean.” A sweet white haired woman said.

“Do ya’ll know where he went?” Peaches asked.

“Oh child, he went on his morning walk.”

“Which way did he go?” Peaches asked with a touch of urgency to her tone.

“That way precious, he went that way.”

Before any of the other ladies could say a word Peaches was running in the direction the old lady had pointed.

In the distance Peaches saw an outcropping of rocks and a man standing on them throwing rocks into the ocean. Her legs were tired and she felt like a hot mess, but she pressed on and toward the rocks.

“Will!” She shouted

The man on the rocks turned toward the shouting of the name and nearly fell off the rocks.

“PEACHES!!”

Peaches ran and lunged toward Will with arms stretched wide and engulfed him in a hug of massive proportions. Will wrapped his arms around Peaches in the same manner until the two of them were entangled in each other. Will rested his chin on Peaches head and just held her in his arms never speaking, just standing there as her rock and comfort.

“Come on, let’s go home.” Will said as he lifted Peaches into his arms and carried her. Peaches wrapped her arms around Will and buried her head into his chest. She let her mind relax and fall in sync with the gentle rocking motion that she felt as Will walked. She was finally safe. She felt safe in his arms.

Upon arriving home, Will noticed that Peaches had fallen asleep so he laid her down on the couch and covered her with a blanket. He knew that something had happened, but he would let her tell him in her own time. Until then he would remain with her and continue loving her no matter what.

Will sat down on the floor and leaned against the couch, soon he too felt the heavy weight of sleep befall him and as soon as he closed his eyes he was asleep. The next thing he knows, he is being awoken by a panic cry. Will looks up at the couch to see that Peaches is still asleep but having a nightmare. Carefully, Will sits up and on the edge of the couch and gently tries to ease Peaches to consciousness. Upon the slightest touch Peaches awakes and flinches into the couch. Her eyes are wild and her heart rate is sporadic. Finally she makes a connection with Will’s eyes and relaxes.

“Will, I.. I..”

“Shh, you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”

“No Will. You should know. Will I went to the grocery store yesterday, where my mother and father were, they recognized me instantly and dragged me home, where I learned that I had a fiancé, they made me talk to him and he.. he.. he did things that no one should ever have to go through. I was suppose to be married to him today, but I ran away. I had to get away from that life, I didn’t even remember anything, All I wanted was you Will. Will please just take me away from here, take me to your home, I.. I just can’t think of this place as anything but horrible memories. I just want to be happy and with you, so please just take me away.” Peaches finished and tears began to roll down her check and fall.

Will took a deep breathe after hearing the story then raised his hand and wiped the tears away from her checks. “Let’s go then, Come home to England with me. I promise I won’t let anything happen to Peaches. I love you and would do nothing, but take you away from here.”

Peaches smiled and hugged Will. “Will I never want to let go off you. When I’m with you I feel safe, without you I have this overwhelming hole that begins to dig at me, but when you’re around that hole disappears.” Peaches said.

Will hugged Peaches tighter “Let’s go now, I have money saved, I can pack what I need and we can buy you clothes in England.”

“Thank you Will. Thank you. I found my passport at my house, I will have to go by my real name, but I will change that.”

Will laughed and stood up, “So what was your real name then?”

Peaches smiled and stood up as well, “You weren’t to far off, My real name is Clementine.”

“Hahaha, Well I prefer Peaches, Clementine’s can be sour and tart, and you my dear are anything but! Come on, let’s go home.” Will said as he threw Peaches over his shoulder and carried her off.

The End

Chapter 4

*2 months later*

Chloe was the bestest friends with Chris they did everything together, until Chloe met a really nice guy named Tony and they were now in a relationship. This made Chris go crazy he loved Chloe more than anything in the whole wide world he would do anything for her, but yet he was still by her side through thick and thin. Chloe invited the boys over for lunch at Tony’s house, it was an hour before the boys were going to come over, Chloe was dressed and Tony was out buying food. So Chloe decided to pick up a guitar and do a cover of hallelujah she didn’t realize but the boys were all at the door and Chris told them to shut up because he was listening to Chloe. When she finished they knocked on the door and were asking all these questions Chloe was so embarrassed, no one ever heard her sing she tried to tell them that it was a cd but Chris knew when she was lying. Finally Tony arrived with all the food and started to cook lunch, surprisingly it went really well Chloe didn’t know how Chris was going to take meeting Tony very well or not but it was alright in her opinion. Except Chris hated the guy he knew that something was up with him and he didn’t want Chloe to be with him at all, so Chris kept a close eye on her just in case.

Chapter 5

Chris, Jonny, Guy and Will all decided to be in a band they all wanted to come to university to form a band in the first place. Phil was the manager and Chloe helped out with everything else, they were all having a great time and enjoying life. It was their first gig and they realized that they didn’t have a name and Chris was freaking out about it, Guy suggested ‘Starfish’ because he saw a painting on the wall of the sea. They didn’t care what the name was after this gig they can change it at any time, the gig was FAN-FIGGIN-TASTIC in Chloe’s words they all partied and had a few drinks to celebrate. All talking about graduation, they couldn’t wait till graduation all the boys wanted to meet Chloe’s mum because they all thought that she was really cool and funny. They all came to a agreement that starfish was a bad name for a band and trying to think of a new name, until Chloe was reading a book on poetry and screamed in front of everyone at the bar “OH MY GOD THAT’S IT” the boys all in shock at Chloe screaming all replied at the same time “what’s it?”. “Coldplay, come one guys its awesome it kind of symbolizes you as well, London is cold and you are a band so you’re playing music” Chloe said being so impressed with herself. Surprisingly the boys all agreed with her and said that it’s awesome.

Chapter 6

Well here it is graduation night everyone dressed up trying to compete on who’s the best. The girls battling for Prom Queen and the boys lay back looking at the girls, Chris was getting worried he couldn’t see Chloe anywhere and ran everywhere trying to find her. When suddenly he saw a figure walking down the stairs in a mid blue dress which was strapless tight around her chest and then flared out at the bottom looking like a princess, wow it was Chloe he couldn’t believe his eyes that he was best friends with something so beautiful. Chloe grabbed his hand and said “come on, let’s get this party rocking” and so they ran hand in hand to the hall, it was a great night everyone looked amazing but Chloe was upset because Tony never turned up so now Chris and Chloe were dateless. It was time that they announced the Prom Queen & King everyone was getting excited “the King is……… CHRIS MARTIN” Chloe gave Chris a massive hug and congratulated him, he walked up to the stage and the crown was placed on his head. Now it was time for the Queen to be announced “and the Queen is……… CHLOE SMALL” she couldn’t believe it Chloe ran up to the stage and gave Chris an even bigger hug then a crown was placed on her head. “May the King & Queen step onto the dance floor” so they did Chris was so nervous he didn’t know where to put his hand or to even dance, it was ok he followed Chloe’s lead and they were off the song was Hero by Enrique Iglesias it was like they were the only two living people in the world, Chris whispered into her ear “you deserved it beautiful no one deserves it more than you”. That was it her heart had melted and nothing meant more to her right now than being in Chris arms.

Chapter 7

It was the day that everyone said goodbye and moved on into their own lives, it was magical everyone had their own apartment except Chloe she was living with Tony. By this time Coldplay had a record deal and everything was going great they are recording songs and probably release an album in the next year. Of course Chloe never knew it but most of the songs were about her Chris loved her more than anything in the world. The boys all went on a holiday for 2 weeks in America while Chloe got some quality time with Tony, Chris missed her and wandered every second of the day what she was doing but then it was good to have some time with the boys. Tony had been acting really weird around Chloe he didn’t get home until late at night and would be talking to people when he was home, so much for Chloe spending quality time with him. One night Tony came home with blood all over his shirt Chloe was scared and shocked she didn’t know what to do; he didn’t have a wound or anything on him well that made Chloe worry even more. The day after the boys got back from America they all went out for dinner, Chris looked at Tony and noticed a really guilty look on his face and then started to worry about Chloe because she was quiet and a bit shaky. Tony said to Chloe “ oii get up and get me a drink” “excuse me” Chloe said confused “get the hell up and get me a bloody drink woman” he said in a frustrated tone. So she did what he said and got him a drink but she was so confused why was he talking to her like that, she looked back and heard Chris and Tony start to argue over the way he was talking to her. Chloe raced to the table with his drink and said “there you go darling” “Darling? What the fuck are you on” he replied, this only made Chris more and more angry but then they decided to go back to Tony’s house.

Chapter 8

Tony and Chloe went in one car and then the others went in Phil’s car, they noticed that Tony went a different way but Phil didn’t worry he went the way that he knew. Tony and Chloe got there first and when the boys walked in they saw Chloe sitting on the lounge but didn’t know where Tony was, Chris ran over to Chloe to see that she had a black eye and a busted lip Chris went crazy he knew straight away who did it and he had a bad feeling right from the start that Tony wasn’t the most pleasant of all people. Chris demanded to know where he was but when he said it Tony came down stairs, the boys sat on the lounge with Chloe to comfort her while Chris ran up to Tony grabbed him by the shirt and told him that if he hurts Chloe again then he would pay Tony exploded calling Chris a ******, a tool the list goes on when Chloe stood up and demanded for Tony to go into the kitchen. Tony did so and all you could hear was them screaming at each other for 15 minutes, then Chris heard Chloe crying and a scream for help she was on the floor and blood was everywhere from Tony punching her, Chris bent over and started to cry because of what happened to her when suddenly Tony came up behind Chris and laughed. Chris sprung up and started screaming at Tony, Tony said “look why don’t we end this whole thing right now” he went over to the bench and grabbed a knife Chloe saw the knife and quickly jumped in front of Chris right as Tony was about to stab him she got the knife in her stomach. She was in complete shock from the pain then clasped by this time Tony had ran for his life and Chloe was on the floor in Chris’ arms, Will called the ambulance while Guy called the police and Jonny was holding Chloe’s hand.

Chapter 9

Chloe lying in the ambulance with Chris by her side not knowing what was going to happen, they all got to the hospital where no one was allowed in the room Chloe was screaming in pain as they were taking the knife out when ……………………gone Chloe was flat line, nothing, Chris saw her arm drop by the side of the bed lifeless, nothing but shock Chris broke the door down and held her hand kissing her forehead telling her that everything was going to be ok, 1 minute of that they heard a beep like there was life back they all looked at the heart monitor and there she started to breath Chloe opened her eyes and she said “how you going mate” in her aussie accent, Chris just looked in her eyes everyone in the room was in shock how the heck did this happen she was a complete flat line then one minute later she woke up. “I love you Chloe” Chris whispered in her ear “I love you too Chris” Chloe whispered back and there it was love can bring life back. *3 days later* Chris hadn’t slept he was sitting by her side the whole time, Chloe’s mum ran in and gave Chloe the biggest hug after 5 minutes of her mum hugging and kissing her Jonny said if he could talk to her, Jonny explained the whole situation and she began to cry her baby girl was gone for a minute. The nurse walked in and asked who will be looking after Chloe Chris stood up and said “me” but then her mum said “Chris you’re exhausted you should go home and get some sleep she’s my baby girl I will look after her”. Chris wasn’t sure but he agreed and went home to sleep.

Chapter 10

Chloe was heavily medicated for the next month or so and her mum cared for her “Chloe you should come back home there are too many memories here” her mum said “no too bad mum I’m never ever going to leave London it’s my dream” Chloe replied “well look what’s happened its really your dream isn’t it” her mum exclaimed there was a pause then a knock at the door it was two police officers wanting to talk to Chloe her mum said that she was very heavily mediation and couldn’t really communicate very well so they told her mother what happened. Turns out that Tony had committed suicide, when Chloe was told she cried, she cried because something must have been going on in his life that he didn’t tell her for him to hurt her like this but then even more worse hurting himself. That was her thought until her mum told Chloe his history of crime she was shocked and couldn’t believe all the stuff that he had done she would never suspect it and couldn’t believe that she was dating a criminal. She had no choice she had to go back home her mum was right she had too many bad memories here but what about Chris he was her best friend, Chloe went to their studio and told them what was happening Chris was extremely angry he wanted Chloe so bad and now that chance of being with her is getting slimmer and slimmer by the second.

  • 2 weeks later...

Chapter 11

It was the day that Chloe had to move back home she went to the studio to say goodbye to find that Chris wasn’t there he meant the world to her she couldn’t leave without saying goodbye but she had to go so she wrote a letter for the boys to give to Chris and they did so. It was a alright trip back home but it killed Chloe like hell she loved London so much and she will cherish every single memory even the bad ones they made her a stronger person. Everyone had put together a welcome home party which she wasn’t up for at all she didn’t want everyone to welcome her home because the truth is London is her home. When Chris got to the studio the boys told him that Chloe had already been and gone he was so upset he loved her and then when he read the letter he began to cry. Both Chloe and Chris knew that nothing would ever be the same.

Chapter 12

*8 months later*

Chloe had began a career in music and was one of Hollywood’s best actress’ as well everything was going great for her, while Chris was in one of the most famous British bands ‘Coldplay’. It was the Grammys night and Chloe heard that Coldplay were going to be there she didn’t want to go she was scared to see them like what kind of friend is she to leave her friends. All eyes were on Chloe on the red carpet everyone saying how beautiful she looked, she heard that Coldplay were coming up the red carpet so she bolted up to stairs into the venue and took her seat luckily they sat right on the other end of the room. She had to go up on stage to accept an award she looked at where the boys were sitting and you could she Chris staring at her exactly the same way as the first day she walked into class and once again it was scaring her so she quickly said “thank you” then ran backstage to get ready for her performance. Right before she was going to go on to perform Coldplay won an award and they were watching her from backstage. As she went back to get changed again she bumped into Will, Chloe gave him a massive hug and they talked for 5 minutes when she felt the burning in her back and his breath on her shoulder. She turned around and gave him a massive hug “I miss you so much” he whispered in her ear as Chloe heard this she said that she had to go, so she went to get changed and by the end of the night she collected another 6 Grammys. She got in the first car she saw and then saw Coldplay walking down the carpet she was saying to herself “oh dear god no please don’t get in” but then they did Chloe turned her head to the window the whole time, then the driver said “maim where would you like to go” she told the driver and Chris knew it was her, she could feel his eyes burning her again. He pulled over and Chloe said “thank you” she got out and walked into her hotel, she didn’t even look back she went straight into her room.

ok, so dianna and i decided one night to write a story by alternately contributing one line each. the story isn't really much (or completed) but here it is anyway :P

The Story Dianna and Brooke Wrote

A young man sat at a typewriter, staring at the used condom that laid on his desk. He thought to himself, WHO THE HELL WAS DOING IT AT MY DESK? The only other people in this house right now are... my... p-par- OH GOD!

But what he didn't know was that his brother, Jonny, had entertained the previous evening while his parents were at dinner. Jonny had left early that morning, but he had figured that while he was visiting for the holidays and cooped up in the dusty house, he may as well have a bit of fun.

The young man smiled as he thought of all the conquests his older brother had bragged about as he suspected that none of it was true and Jonny was really in lust with that geeky nerd boy with the big hair. Jonny for some reason always thought it was proper for him to tell his little brother grossly inappropriate stories - that was actually how the man learned what he knew about sex - and so the young man found it hard to think about such acts without thinking about his brother, which was why he was almost twenty and still a virgin.

Scooping up the offending piece of rubber carefully, the young man carried it to the dumpster in the garage stopping only when he suddenly heard heavy breathing and gasps of pleasure coming from the backs seat of the Rolls Royce. The man shuddered as his mind flashed back to when he was twelve and Jonny came home to tell him all about the best ways to have sex in a car without being uncomfortable or accidentally shifting into reverse; then quite suddenly he was hit with realization.

He stepped close to the classic car with its fine elegant lines and refined chassis being shocked by the murmurs of ecstasy pouring forth as he knew he shouldn't spy but he couldn't stop himself. Unfortunately, the windows were so tinted that in order to properly see inside he had to practically shove his face against the glass and cup his hands around his eyes. At first all he could see was the dim grey color of his brother's cap as it moved around in a most exotic and peculiar motion. His heart leaped with fright and he blinked several times to make sure that he wasn't just imagining his brother again, as much as he would have liked to say that never happened.

"Jonny," the man heard someone whisper, "This is so much better than last time. It must be a new technique."

The man really, really, really wanted to go back inside, back to the innocent comfort of his typewriter, but his feet refused to move, as if they had been nailed firmly to the ground.

"It's all in the tongue," Jonny said, "If you swirl it around just a bit first, it gets harder and doesn't drip as much."

The young man was screaming in his mind, but in reality his lips were pressed tightly together to prevent vomiting and his eyelids were twitching with the desire to close.

"Careful Chris," Jonny cautioned, "We don't want to get caught. And if you keep up that reckless behavior, you are going to get it all over these leather seats."

Then suddenly a loud yelp sounded nearby, and after a few seconds the young man realized the noise had escaped from himself.

"What was that?" Chris asked, with big scared eyes as he quickly hid the large ice cream cone he was sucking on.

“Someone's watching us!” Jonny cried out as he saw the shadowed figure of his brother, though he did not actually recognize the silhouette.

"They can't have mine!" Chris exclaimed, clinging to Jonny, "I waited all week for this scoop!"

"Chris, as darling as you are, I don't think it's your ice cream they want."

Chris smiled shyly at Jonny and asked, "What about you, J? Is it my ice cream you want or something else?"

Jonny laughed deviously, and just as soon as the young man was about to finally move, he said, "I already have your ice cream," which Chris intended to reply to, but he stopped when he noticed that Jonny was being quite literal and the ice cream cone was no longer in his hand.

Chris' wide blue eyes were shining at the other boy as he stared at the stolen dessert. "You stole my cone just like you stole my heart," he whispered.

"No, actually," Jonny began, "stealing the cone was harder because you had a death-grip on that thing. And I think we should probably focus on this guy who's still watching us."

Chris' mind was whirling as he considered Jonny observation. "Well then lets give the bastard something to talk about for real. We wouldn't want to disappoint him would we?"

"Good idea."

I think I'm gonna try my hand at a CP fanfiction!!!

Here goes...

The Right People

Chapter 1: Jonny

*Chris's POV*

I hate this place. This room. These people. I'm 15 for Christ's sake, and yet her I am being bullied like I'm still 5...

Let me explain myself. I'm Chris Martin, 15, I'm tall with curly hair and I LOVE music. I want too start my own real band someday, not just some stupid school band. Those were preliminary. But I had yet to meet the right people.

And this is my story of how I met the right people, in more ways than one.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You see, I liked to carry around notebooks with me so that anytime I thought of good song lyrics I could jot them down and think about them later. Sadly, this habit was recognized by the resident school bullies, and now every day they stole my notebook and read aloud whatever new entries were there.

This routine was about to change.

"Damn, damn, damn, DAMN!"

"What's wrong, Chris? Lose your notebook... AGAIN?!"

Cue the laughter from everyone but me.

"What's this say, hmm? 'Circumnavigate the globe' (laughter) Ooohh! New entry! 'Bones sinking like homes, all that we die for.. (hysterical laughter)"

"Leave my notebook alone!"

"Ooh, alright, it'll be left alone... across the room!"

Gerard (today's tormentor) pulled his arm back as if to throw the notebook as far as he could...

When a stranger walked up behind him, plucked the notebook from his hand, and sat in the empty desk next to mine.

"This yours?"

I looked at the stranger. His eyes were green, a slight smirk on his face. I studied him for a moment more, then took my notebook.

"Hey, thanks. You new here?"

"No problem. My name's Jonny, new kid of the year."

I didn't realize it, but my life just changed.... forever.

PART 2

*Jonny's POV*

Chris and I became the best of friends. For the next few years, through the rest of high school and into college, we discovered we both shared tastes in music, movies, books, and almost everything. After school we'd hang at Chris's place and use his basement for our jam sessions where we'd put Chris's lyrics to song and I'd show off my guitar-playing skills. On rare occasion we'd invite other students to listen and give honest criticism or sometimes they brought their own instruments and played along. This went on until one very fateful day at the local college pub...

The Right People

Chapter 2: Guy

*Chris's POV*

I REALLY want to jump headfirst into telling you about our new bassist, but I suppose I'll start from the beginning...

So we're in UCL now, Jonny's apt. is right down from mine, and life is going great. My ancient history studies are doing OK, not that I really care if I fail, but the important thing is is that our music is really starting to take off. Sadly, as of the moment, we have nobody to keep some form of time for us. No drummer, no bassist.

That was gonna change.

So Jonny and I, instead of spending our customary evening together jamming in his room, went down to the local pub and took a night off.

We talked openly about our hopeful plans for a band. Nobody bothered us, which was fine with me, and we barely drank anything because we were too busy talking.

Until I notice a shadowy figure walking towards us...

"Jonny, do either of us know that guy?"

Jonny took a quick look him and said "Nope."

And from here, I'll let the master writer take over.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PART 2

*Jonny's POV*

Very funny, Chris. Ha ha.

Anyway, the mysterious student pulled over a chair from a vacant table and sat down.

"I've heard a lot about you two."

"Excuse me, but... who exactly are you?" I asked.

"My name's Guy. Guy Berryman."

Chris wanted to know how he knew about them.

"There's been talk of your music-making. Most people say it's shit."

Chris turned his now sad face to Guy as he spoke again.

"I've heard it. I think it's brilliant. And I want to be your band's bassist."
