I wish schools would spend HALF as much time teaching economics as they do English, because then maybe kids would understand why their entire lives people are stealing from them, taking advantage of them, and pulling the wool over their eyes.

Maybe you guys can help me with this math problem: Why does(-2)^6power equal 64 and

-2^6power equal -64? I just don't understand that.

because the - symbol means opposite of, so -2^6 means the opposite of 2^6 which is -64.

 

and (-2)^6 means the opposite of 2, aka negative 2 to the power of 6, which is 64.

 

did i explain that well or are you still confused? i'm not the best at explaining things

wooot. its a MAJOR RELIEF that we dont have any math subjects. wel economics has some math elements in it, but we dont have any trigo, or algeb or calculus stuff :dance: of course that only happens in college.

Although, I'll have BIOchemistry in 3rd semester.. but that one is so different, I even dare to say it's easy.

Biochemistry is not fun man, I guarantee you that Chemistry is actually better than Biochemistry.
