I have not watched the video you posted yet Nick, but I will. And I understand where your opinion comes from. My brother had alot of medical issues growing up(this is when our family had healthcare) and I feel if there was NHS he probably be screwed.

but cheaper. I owe over 600 dollars for two doctors visits:(

My parents feel your pain and soon I will too, before long my parents won't be able to pay for my medical bills and I'll be in the same boat but there is a cheaper solution just not free.

I love John Stossel.

Nick, the reason people put up with it is because it's all they've ever known. They don't remember what a private healthcare system was like, so they don't miss it.

There is one question I want the supports of government run health care to answer;

How can they run health care when they cannot even run restaurants on Capitol Hill? The government run restaurants on the Hill are negative every year in case you didn't now, they are in the red each year.

Cos they buy expensive food and don't charge enough to cover their costs ;)

Nick a license is permission from the government to practice in the US, and it's pointless. It's just a way for the American Medical Association to limit the number of practicing doctors (ie monopolize the industry for their union).

Here are some fun stats for the Canadians and UK and Aussies who enjoy pushing their socialist crap on people who prefer being somewhat free.

Jay, the NCPA is almost entirely in support of more conservative viewpoints. Many of their articles are pro-big business/anti-environment/anti-obama/pro-bush. However many of your other article links were non-biased. I appreciate the balance on the topic at least. I still don't see the big fucking deal about Health Care. Where in the fuck was the cry out when we invaded Iraq and spent hundreds of billions of dollars of tax payer money. The Republicans have done a great deal of using scare tactics and propaganda and are doing a hell of a job of freaking out people.

We're classical liberals :cool3:

Jay isn't a conservative.

I know he isn't. I was talking about repubs in general.

We're classical liberals :cool3:

Thought you were an anarchist.

Classical liberalism encompasses Anarchy. Back in the day liberalism actually meant rights.

Cool stuff. Not bad I guess. The only reason why I support more government influence sometimes is to protect those that do not have a voice or much representation.

Everyone has a voice in Anarchy.

Bullies could still prevail though. The weak would perish.

If there were no laws and people could decide who deserved to live and who deserved to die they would get rid of those they found to be less desirable. Fat, black, white, gay, blond, brunette etc. I just don't trust people enough I guess. I like structure. Weird.

So you're saying human beings are animals, and without someone to tell us what to do we'd all be killing each other?

What I am saying is that people can be unbelievably cruel and manipulative. Look at Hitler, Stalin, Saddam. We have the potential for such beauty and grace also. I just feel like in an anarchy, where there is no right and wrong, the wrong people could take advantage of a situation and get rid of people that they do not like. There would be no law and order. It is just my opinion. You can't sit back and say that you know that in an anarchy everything would just flow peacefully and we'd all be singing in harmony.

Hitler, Stalin, and Saddam are all the exact OPPOSITE of Anarchy. Those are some of the most classic examples of statism at its finest. THEY were the ones who attempted eugenics, not Anarchists.

Josh, I am not saying they were anarchists. I am saying that in an anarchy I believe that the behavior they exhibited would repeat itself.

How? Hitler was elected. There are no elections in Anarchy, so no one can take control.
