A STATEMENT FROM NOEL

28 August 2009

"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.

"Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."

with this, it looks as though oasis's site has crashed... can't get in.

sorry to all of the Oasis fans out there

personally i'm not too affected by this news being that i'm not that big of a fan of the band, plus i like noel's voice better. but it's still big news

Wat.

I'm not an Oasis fan, I like some of their stuff, but this is shocking. Poor people that have those tickets!!!

:stunned::stunned:

Can't even access the Oasis site. I admit to only being a casual fan of Oasis, but this is still quite the shocking news, as if the V Festival incident wasn't enough. A lot of questions will hopefully be answered over the coming days.

But damn...

It's not really shocking tho is it..? I mean they fall out all the bloody time..they spent most of the 90's having a dig at each other in public...when they weren't smacked up on drugs that is..

It's not that big a deal...

if Oasis only had a few shows left to go, why didn't they just play them and call it quits. I mean it's gotta be horrible for all those fans. they should just suck in their pride play a few shows and then that's it

Wow, well I'm only a casual fan, but this is pretty shocking :stunned: I guess their best days were behind them though, so its not all bad i guess.

this band meant as much to me as coldplay have. very very sad but it's always been a matter of time. i'm lucky to have seen them twice.

Oh man. This is sad.Kinda grew up with them although their latest albums were not that great, the earlier stuff was great and influenced many bands.I think they should have played the last shows though.People paid for this. But well...it's the Gallaghers

they will be back ! bet your bottom dollar on it !

This fucking sucks! I really wanted to see them live :\ oh well

I wonder if Noel will go solo?

Can't say I'm surprised. It was a question of when, not if, to be honest. I, myself, couldn't give a flying fuck, but I sympathise with the fans.

what the fuck?

Bout time they quit actually. Now that I think of it.

This is the day music died

The band that changed my life is no more

I wont get into personal details but OASIS is more than the music
