September 1, 200916 yr NO MOAR SINGLES. seriously. but if i had to pick one, it would be "glass of water."
September 1, 200916 yr Next album definitely. They have been on radio since the release of Violet Hill. People (not fans, and even some of us) need to take a break from them.
September 1, 200916 yr I even think that making Strawberry Swing a single was pushing it (even though we got an awesome video from it). Six singles from one era is immense.
September 1, 200916 yr Yeah, I think this album's pretty done. They'll finish with Wembley, take a break, then do the LA tour for probably a year or so. Then another year in the studio. Probably not another album for about two years. Maybe a little less.
September 1, 200916 yr Author yeah, Death and All His Friends or Glass of Water would work for me :D but I doubt there will be another single for a while :( if its anything it will be Glass of Water

You know what I mean? It would sound weird being on the radio sort of and I wonder what they would ever do for a music video, haha.
September 1, 200916 yr Author Sometime in 2010 or 2011 with the new album is when it should be.. I agree

September 1, 200916 yr I'd rather see less singles with more physical releases (with b-sides!) than more singles with just a digital/radio release.
September 2, 200916 yr I hope they'll release it in a similar way as Life in Technicolor ii, but probably they won't.
September 2, 200916 yr Off the new record. I hope the song is called "Miserable" or maybe something more subtle. OR they should do St. Stephen on their next record. Unlikely.
September 2, 200916 yr lots of options Now let's talk about what I think :lol::laugh3::laugh3: I think there are still good choices for more singles from Viva/PM. Personally, my pic would be Glass of Water. But I think they'll move on from the Viva era immediately after a one or (max) two month tour of Latin America (and Tampa). As others have said, with all the studio time they've put in already, and trying new songs at sound checks, it's still conceivable to me that the 6th album (Chris said LRLRLR was their 5th) could actually appear by Christmas of this year. That''s optimistic I know, but I don't think it will be as far away as 2011. These guys love working at what they do and they have tons of energy. Last November ('08), I don't think many people would have predicted the North American Viva Tour Part 2 (or is it part 3?) this summer. They're breaking all the usual patterns of album, tour,, break, write, repeat, and instead are doing what they want/need to (that's a subject for another thread). I've learned from people here who are smarter than me, not to underestimate them. ;)

I don't think it will be this Christmas, I'm guessing this upcoming summer (2010) because all their albums have been released in summer and that would be 2 years from VLVODAAHF.
September 2, 200916 yr Christmas of this year? That's not even 4 months. Don't be ridiculous. I said it was optimistic.
September 2, 200916 yr looking LRLRL was their 5th album? That's strange. I'll try to find the interview and post it here. I don't think it will be this Christmas, I'm guessing this upcoming summer (2010) because all their albums have been released in summer and that would be 2 years from VLVODAAHF. That does make sense. It never occurred to me.
